Eric was packed to go home, Kevin clearly displeased with this.
"Can't you stay longer?"
"Maybe during the summer. I'm still in school too you know?"
Kevin frowned but didn't argue any further. Mr Moon smiled, Eric returning said smile.
"I'm sorry you had to see us like this. Hopefully your next visit is a more pleasant one. Though by then, Kevin will be with his Mom."
He would finally get to see her again and learn her side on the matter. The doorbell rung, all three sharing looks. Neither were expecting visitors this weekend. Mr Moon went to answer it, eventually calling for Kevin. Eric naturally followed, wondering who it was.
"Woowoo...?"
"Must you call me that embarrassing nickname..."
Eric couldn't believe it. He was here, right in front of them. Eric moved on instinct, protectively hiding Kevin behind him. They didn't miss that action.
"Even now the two of you act like this. It's so obvious you two have the hots for each other."
Both blushed, avoiding their gaze.
"Oh? Did you finally confess? Bless the heavens, no longer will I have to listen to Kevin whine about wanting to date you."
Eric snapped out of his stupor, glaring at the visitor.
"Why are you here, Sunwoo? Last I checked, Kevin wasn't important to you anymore."
"That-"
"If you came here to give excuses, we're not interested in any of them. Kevin needed someone and you failed him."
"I did it because I was upset. I felt I could never compare to you so why even bother sticking around? Ever since the start was always you, you, you, Eric. Imagine how that made me feel..."
Kevin stepped out from behind Eric, giving Sunwoo a deep bow.
"I've been a shit friend to all of you. I didn't know how to deal with these strong feelings of mine for Eric so I talked. I talked and talked until I felt satisfied." Kevin explained, slowly rising from his bowed position. "I should've taken your feelings into consideration. I'm sorry."
Sunwoo tightly hugged Kevin, feeling him return the gesture.
Minutes had gone by before they finally pulled apart.
"Are you okay though? Don't have to be admitted yet?"
"Not yet, thanks to Eric."
Sunwoo gave Eric a grateful smile.
"Though, I didn't know you were in the city, Eric. Why didn't you say something?"
"Well, I was more focused on supporting Kevin. Then I found out you ditched him so my care for messaging you dropped significantly. I could understand those flakes, but you? That hurt me and I'm not the one with the leaving friend."
"It was a huge mistake, but I'm more than ready to make it up to the both of you."
They huddled together, sharing familiar warmth. The rag tag trio was back together again.

Eric looked between two angry face that towered over him.
"You-"
"Eric Sohn! Where in the fucking world did you disappear to without telling us?!" Changmin barked, Haknyeon nodding in the background.
"Kevin."
Changmin gave an exasperated sigh, looking up at the ceiling. Haknyeon sat beside Eric, more interested in his trip than admonishing him.
"What was the first day like?"
"Well-"
"I'm not done yet! Do you know how much work we had to do to cover your ass! Not to mention the nosy nobodies asking where you disappeared to!" fussed Changmin.
Eric smiled, taking Changmin's hand and forcing him to sit on his right side.
"Thank you for helping, Min. That was sweet of you to do."
Changmin faintly blushed, turning away from him.
"S'okay... Just warm a person next time." he huffed, turning to face Eric with a smile.
"So do you want to hear about the trip or not?"
Both were eager, urging him to start from the beginning. They listened with interest all the way to the end.
"So, you confessed but aren't together."
"Because you want him to get proper help first?"
"Why is that the main thing you guys latch onto..." sighed Eric while nodding. "And can you believe it? Woowoo ditched Kevin!"
"No way! Woowoo was basically his shadow!" gasped Changmin.
Haknyeon listened in silence, not being a part of the old friend group like Changmin.
"But we knocked sense into him so Sunwoo's back where he belongs."
"Good. Kevin could use the extra support."
Eric sighed, lying back on his bed. It was quite the week. He didn't know what to expect going, but he never regretted going. If anything, the entire thing brought them closer together. And then once Kevin was in a good place...
"He's thinking of Kevin. Ah, like clockwork." complained Haknyeon.
"Your other friends exist too, jerk." huffed Changmin, smacking Eric with a pillow.
It didn't take long for a pillow fight to ensue, Haknyeon knocking both of them down. He was the better player out of the three of them. Eric and Changmin banded together to take down Haknyeon like always.
