(y/n) POV

Ever since that accident with the girls, Kaneki has been by your side this whole time. The two friends began to hang around you more and you became close. After about two weeks, you noticed that Kaneki was no longer shy around any one, he would always greet you and Luke and would join in the everyday conversations, and Hide, well, he tried to figure out when Luke was being serious and when he was trying to be funny, but he could never tell, that is just Luke's personality. It was Friday, the fourth week of school and Kaneki hasn't been here at all. You started to feel scared as no one had heard anything from him. But, when Hide came through the school doors, he looked down and in pain. His face seemed emotionless and he had bags under his dull eyes. This scared you which caused you to run towards him. "HIDE!!" You practically screamed his name as he turned around and saw you, his face dropped even more than it was before, which seemed to be impossible because there was already no emotion in sight. "Hide! Whats wrong? Are you ok?" As you looked at him his face said it all, something wasn't right. "It...its K-Kaneki." He looked down trying to conceal the emotions. You looked at him with an expression telling him to go on. "He....he has been in hospital this whole time, and....and with horrible injuries to his ribs, organs and blood loss...." Your eyes widen at what your ears had just heard. Hide was now on the floor as you tried to recap everything that you had just been told. You started to feel your face getting hot and your eyes start to become blurry, what you didn't realize was that you were crying, you mouth open and your face terrified. I didn't know Kaneki was in hospital??!!!!! You looked back at Luke with teary eyes and he ran to your side. Not moving an inch, you just let him embrace you as you stared off into the distance.

He...he has been in hospital this whole time, and, and we didn't even know..."(y/n)" This whole time...he has been in horrible pain..."(y/n)?" What...what if he's dead....i...i will never get to see him again...."(y/n)!!!" With that, Luke brought you out of your daze. You looked at him with dull eyes and tears streaming down your pale skin. "(y/n), just breath. Tell me whats wrong?" You saw his hands caressed your cheeks, but you didn't feel them touch your skin. Looking up at him, you explained. "Its..K-Kaneki..." You tried to catch your breath as he wanted you to continue. "He....he is in hospital." With that, you looked at Luke with determination in your dull eyes. You turned your body and Luke's hands dropped to his sides. You started running for you life, your tears running down your (s/c) skin and your (h/l) (h/c) flowing behind you. You went to every hospital in hopes you would find him there all healthy and safe, but, he was no where to be found. You started to get scared and the tears started to fall faster than before. As the realization filled your head, you swear your heart stopped in its tracks. What if he is dead?! You started to look around in horror, your head spinning frantically as you looked for any sign of Kaneki. Still, there was not one single trace of him anywhere. Your mind wouldn't stop telling you things, you thought you were going crazy. The only time you have felt this way was when Luke got bit by that ghoul. Feeling this way made you feel horrible, Kaneki was gone and Hide was so depressed. With your mind going insane with thoughts, you didn't realize that two strong arms hugged you from behind. you turned around and saw a smiling Luke. "Sshh (y/n), everything will be ok. We will find him." You looked up at Luke with thanks written all over your face. You hugged him tight enjoying the embrace not wanting him to leave you either. He just sat there and held you until you could no longer cry anymore tears. It took a while but Luke stayed with you till you had calmed down. He ended up walking you home, making you got home safe and didn't slip or fall on the way. He said his goodbyes and went to his own home. You went inside with still no expression on your face and dull eyes, which were now all red and puffy from crying. Laying on your bed looking up at your pale white ceiling, you couldn't help it but only worry about Kaneki. "Wherever you are Kaneki, I love you." You closed your eyes and began to fall into a dreamless sleep.
