"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the World Championship Tournament." Announced a short old man wearing a tee shirt and shorts. "I am Charles Goodshow president of the Pokemon league. Today is the end of an era, as our current World Champ Red, will be standing down and retiring as World Champion after holding this title for a remarkable twenty years." Said Goodshow as he pointed to the man standing beside him. " Now the way this will work out will be simple, the battles will be three on three, until we get the the final eight where it will be full six on six battles. The winner will become the next World Champion and as a farwell to Red the winner will also have a six on six battle against Red himself." The crowd roared with excitement upon hearing this. Because of how good Red was and how hard it is just to get a chance to battle him it was very rare to see him battle, making this a special treat seeing his final official battle. "Now it will take about seven days for this tournament to complete so let's stop wasting time." Goodshow then looked to one of the tunnels exiting the battle field and smiled as the women standing there glared back, knowing the only reason she was there was because Goodshow loved babies and he wanted the world to he her pregnant. "So without any further ado, let's first start with a Pokemon performance, so let's put your hands together for the Alola Queen Serena!" The crowd cheered as she walked out, once they saw her though many wondered what was going on as she was looking rather large, although the people of Alola had heard rumors she was pregnant and were excited seeing the rumors were true. A certain group had other thoughts though, "hey, isn't that the girl who was dating Ash?" Asked May. "I think so." Said Cilan. "You don't think she's still with Ash do you?" Asked Dawn. "Come on seriously, look at her she is most defiantly pregnant. Ash probably doesn't even know where babies come from let alone how to make one." Brock Laughed. "Your right, she probably came to her senses and realized how much a loser Ash was and got herself a real man." Said Misty laughing. The others laughed as well, all accept Max who was very confused why they were talking about Ash like that.

However before Max could question them about their comments about Ash Serena spoke into her mic. "Hello everyone and welcome. Now as I'm sure many of you have guessed, I'm pregnant," The crowd started cheering, "So those of you who were hoping to see me perform I'm sorry I won't be able to. If you want someone to blame, feel free to blame my husband the Alola champion." Serena smiled while she said the last part. The traitors had their confirmation, in their minds there was no way she was still with Ash since he was such a weak trainer there was no way he could be a league Champion. Serena then continued, "However I won't leave you wanting. We have a special performance for you all today, a duet performance with none other than the Kalos Queen Shauna and the runner up in last year's Alola master class Miette!" Serena said as she pointed up into the air. Many on the people looked up and saw several figures in a free fall heading toward the stadium, those figures were none other than Shauna with her venusaur and florges, and Miette with he meowstic and slupuff. People were starting to get very nervous as they were about to enter the stadium. Then they all glowed blue as Meowstic began to use psychic and flower petals began to swirl around them as Venusaur and Florges used petal dance. Meowstic slowed their decent and as they touched the ground Venusaur and Florges sent the petals out in every direction.

Meanwhile in one of the tunnels Serena is watching the performance with Charles Goodshow and Red. "They're looking good out there." Said Serena. "Well of course they are, you did help choreograph the performance after all." Said Goodshow. "Sorry I haven't said it yet, but congratulations on the baby Serena." Said Red. Serena smiled as she put her hands on her stomach, "thanks, it's been a dream come true being with Ash." "Well I'm happy for you both. At least he's better man than me." Said Red. Serena looked at him confused, "what do you mean?" Red sighed and looked down as he shook his head, "a little over twenty years ago I had a chance for a family, but I was young and short sighted, and chose to keep moving forward with my dream of becoming the World Champion. When I came back the mother wouldn't even let me see him, saying I made my choice. So like I said, Ash is a better man than me, he chose a family." Serena looked at him sadly and was about to speak but was stopped by the sound of applause signaling Shauna and Miette were done.

"That's our qeue." Said Goodshow as he and Red walked back to the battle field. "Your running out of time, do you ever plan on telling him?" Goodshow asked Red as they walked. Red just flinched slightly, most people wouldn't have noticed, but Goodshow had known Red long enough to read him. "Suprised you did I? I might be old, but I'm not blind or stupid. I've noticed you following his career as a trainer. This tournament would be a good time is all I'm saying. Besides if he wins I would kind of be like a family tradition, the child taking on the father's place as World Champ." Goodshow laughed a little, while Red just walked emotionless, but knowing in his mind Goodshow was correct, he didn't have alot of time left and this might be his last chance to face his past.

Soon they both reached the center of the battle field and Goodshow spoke into the mic again, "what a great performance, don't you all agree! Let's give them another round of applause." The crowd cheered again for Shauna and Miette, then quieted back down for Goodshow to speak again. "Now as I said earlier this will take seven days for this tournament to conclude, so how about we get started right now!" The crowd cheered, ready to see a good battle. "Alright then, now how about we start it big, as in the first match right here, right now. A full six on six battle between two league champions!" Now the crowd was roaring, excited to see two league champions battle. "Now please direct your attention to one of the screens as we randomly select which two champions we'll see today." The screen started going through the champions pictures, so fast that they couldn't tell who it was until it stopped. The first face then came up, "first we have the Kanto Champion, Lance!" The crowd cheered, then roared when they saw his opponent. "And his opponent will be... The Alola Champion Ash!" Everyone was cheering except the traitors who were in complete shock. "How." Said Iris. "It's not possible." Said Dawn. "Come on everyone, relax. Even if he is a champion, Lance is known as one of the top three trainers in the world. No way Ash can beat him." Said Misty. The others nodded, but stayed quiet. The whole row was quiet except for Max who was cheering the loudest out of anyone there. When he looked at the others he just smiled and nudged May, "speechless huh, I get it, I'm shocked too, but also so excited."

A few minutes later Ash and Lance were walking out to the trainers boxes. Once there they attached their microphones so they could speak so everyone could hear them. "Good to see you again Ash. I can see why you would want to be champion here." "It's good to see you again too Lance. And thanks, it's a very nice region, and after I beat you you will have plenty of time to enjoy all that Alola has to offer." Ash said with a smile. Lance smiled back knowing it was all in good fun and that there was a great deal of respect between them,"I don't think so Ash. Last time was a draw, I've been training my Pokemon hard so this time I'm going to win." "We'll see about that." Said Ash as he held out his first pokeball.

"This will be a six on six battle, with no substations. The winner will be decided when there opponent is out of pokemon. In the event of a draw both trainers will be eliminated from the tournament. Are both trainers ready?" Asked the referee. Ash and Lance nodded. "Battle begin!" Both trainers released their first Pokemon, Aerodactyl and Decidueye. Lance saw Decidueye and was a bit surprised, as he had never seen one before. "Well that's a new one for me. Is that one of the Alola starters?" Ash nodded, "Gotta represent my region."

"Decidueye spirit shackle." "Aerodactyl crunch." Decidueye fired one of his quils canceling crunch. Decidueye then charged forward with leaf blade, Aerodactyl flew up dodging the attack and used rock slide hitting Decidueye. Decidueye pulled himself out from underneath the rocks and took off after Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl tried to knock Decidueye out of the sky with wing attack, but Decidueye countered with leaf blade, overpowering it and hitting Aerodactyl. Aerodactyl recovered and went after Decidueye with thunder fang, while Decidueye charged at him with bravebird. Aerodactyl was about to bite down on Decidueye but Decidueye dived down at the last second and then shot back up hitting Aerodactyl in the stomach. Aerodactyl began to free fall but recovered and started to fly straight toward Decidueye. When Aerodactyl was close enough he fired a hyperbeam right at Decidueye, who dodged at the last second. Decidueye then used spirit shackle again hitting Aerodactyl on the side of its head, sending him crashing into the ground. When the dust cleared Aerodactyl had swirly eyes. "Aerodactyl is unable to battle. Lance send out your next Pokemon." Said the referee. "Go Kingdra."

The battle between Ash and Lance raged on, neither of them taking a huge lead over the other, or holding a lead for very long at all. Decidueye didn't last long against Kingdra due to being weakened by Aerodactyl. Next Ash sent out Incineroar, who managered to pull off a win but was beaten by Lance's Tyranitar. Ash then sent out his Dusk form Lycanroc that was able to beat Tyranitar but lost to Salamence. Salamence was then beaten by Charizard, but Charizard couldn't hold up against Lance's Red Gyarados. Then Ash sent out his often underestimated starter, Pikachu who finished off Gyarados with a powerful thunder attack. The whole time during the battle the traitors and there parents remained in a silent shock as Max strained is voice as he cheered for Ash. None of them could believe how well Ash was doing, all of them thinking the same thing, that Ash was in no way a weak trainer anymore. Then a thought started to form in many of the traitors heads, what will Ash do if he sees us, that thought sent chill down their spines. The parents had a slightly different fear, wondering if he knew what they did.

"Go Dragonite." Lance yelled as he released his final and signature Pokemon. Ash looked at Dragonite and remembered the last time he faced it in battle. Last time Ash managed a draw, but he could tell the Dragonite defiantly looked much stronger. A draw wasn't an option this time, this time he had to win. Ash looked at Pikachu, he wasn't breathing heavy, but still faster than normal. Ash knew Pikachu wouldn't be enough as he was, he could only hope Pikachu had enough strength left to weaken Dragonite enough so they could win with his next Pokemon.

"Pikachu agility then iron tail!" Pikachu quickly started off toward Dragonite, once in range Pikachu swung his tail, but Dragonite blocked with dragon claw. Pikachu flew back landing on his feet, but before he could fully recover Dragonite used Dragon tail. Pikachu dodged at the last second, but when Dragonite's tail hit the ground it sent up several rocks, one of which hit Pikachu sending him back further. Pikachu quickly recovered and used thunder which was a direct hit. Pikachu then used electo ball but Dragonite countered with Dragon pulse neutralizing the attack and creating a large dust cloud. Dragonite then quickly flew threw the cloud ready to use fire punch but Pikachu dodged and used thunderbolt hitting Dragonite. Ash looked at Pikachu and Dragonite, and could see Pikachu did some good damage. He then looked at Pikachu and could see his exhaustion, Ash knew Pikachu was running on pure adrenaline and will to fight. Ash figured Pikachu had enough strength left for one more attack, after that he would be done, so he knew they had to make it count. Ash then commanded Pikachu to use volt tackle, Pikachu charged right at Dragonite covered in electricity. Dragonite saw this and quickly prepped dragon claw on both hands, when Pikachu was in range he swung his first claw and missed. Pikachu then made contact dealing some serious damage. As he was separating from the attack Pikachu was then hit by the second dragon claw sending him to the ground a few feet away unconscious. Ash then ran onto the field and picked up Pikachu and held him on his arms and thanked him as he walked back to trainers box.

Once in his trainers box Ash put Pikachu down on the ground beside him. He then looked at Dragonite and could tell it was weaker, he could only hope it was enough. Ash then took his last pokeball off his belt, "Greninja, I choose you!" Greninja emerged from his pokeball, standing tall with his arms crossed, awaiting Ash to say it, and he did, "Greninja, LET'S GO!" Greninja was instantly engulfed in a vail of water, it then disappeared revealing ASH-GRENINJA. The traitors, their parents, and Max were in total shock at what they just saw and wondered what it was called now. Their question was soon answered as the people of Alola started chanting "ASH-GRENINJA, ASH-GRENINJA," repeatedly in support of there champion. Soon more of the spectators joined in as well as Max.

Greninga entered a battle stance, and due to his bond connection with Ash he new what his first attack would be, so he made sure his stance allowed him to use the attack as quickly as possible, while also not revealing it. Dragonite then started to fly toward Greninja with both fists ready with thunder punch. With this attack both Lance and Dragonite expected Greninja to counter with a ranged attack, but none came. Dragonite was within range he swung his first fist but Greninja dodged by jumping up into the air. When he looked up he saw Greninja's hands and feet were glowing white, Greninja then unleashed aerial ace. Each hit sent Dragonite a few feet back, then the last one knocked him onto his back. When he stood back up it saw several Greninja coming at it with night slash. It tried to hit the first, but it disappeared, Dragonite then felt a hit from the back. Dragonite swung it's tail behind it, but just hit a copy. Then Dragonite was hit on the left side, then the right, every time Dragonite tried to counter it would just hit a copy. Dragonite then used twister right on its location, the twister formed and caught Greninja inside, spinning him around inside. Dragonite then knocked Greninja out with thunder punch, Greninja flew out of the twister, landing on his back, but quickly jumped back up to his feet and got into a battle stance. Both Ash and Lance could see the fatigue in both Pokemon and knew this match would be decided soon. Dragonite then charged and fired a hyperbeam at Greninja while Greninja pulled the water shuriken off his back and held it in the air as it grew larger and turned orange. As the hyperbeam closed in Greninja jumped into the air dodging it, and threw the large shuriken at Dragonite. Dragonite was unable to dodge and took the attack head on, creating a large dust cloud around it. Everyone in the stadium was holding their breath as they waited to see the result, was it over or would the match continue. Everyone soon had their answer as the dust cleared and they saw Dragonite just a few feet back from where he once stood laying on his back with swirly eye's.

"Dragonite is unable to battle. Making the Alola Champion Ash Ketchum the winner!" The referee announced. The crowd cheered, nobody cared about regions right now only that they just saw one of the greatest battles ever. Both Ash and Lance returned their Pokemon and thanked them, then Lance then began to walk onto the battle field. Ash saw this, he then picked up Pikachu and walked on to the battle field as well. By the time they reached each other the crowd had grown silent in anticipation of what would happen next. Lance then extended his hand, Ash did the same, they then grabbed each others hand hand shook. "Not bad Ash, looks like you just set the bar a little higher for me, but don't worry we'll battle again and next time I'm winning." Said Lance. Ash smiled, "looking forward to it." "Now you better win, because don't forget, not only do you represent Alola, but being from Kanto you represent that region too." Lance then turned and walked off toward the exit to the field. The crowd was cheering again at the sight of the sportsman ship shown between Ash and Lance. Ash then began to make his way off the battle field, as he did he looked around and waved at the people in the stands. While doing this his eyes caught sight of the very people he was looking for, Max, the traitors, and their families. Ash looked straight at them and gave them a special smile and waved before leaving the battle field. When Max saw this he waved back even harder, while the others were scared stiff. While Max interpreted the smile to say, "look what I just did," the other interpreted it as, "I see you, just what and see what I've got in store for you." I all actuality they were both right as Ash thought, "I hope you were paying attention to what I just did. Soon, you'll pay, very soon. Just what and see what I've got planned for you bastards."
