Here we go with another chapter. I hope you all like it, if so please vote, and tell me what you think.

The Alola region, comprised of four natural islands and one artificial, it is a popular tourist destination for people from all regions. However currently people are coming to Alola for a different reason than usual, they are coming for the World Champion Tournament. People are coming in by plane and by boat, this morning there is a cruise ship on its way to Alola carrying both spectators as well as competitors. On the main deck two of the competitors are having a battle to help one another prepare, more specifically one of the competitors prepare, a young man fifteen years old with black hair and glasses. His name is Max Maple, he won the Hoenn league last year, although most say it was a very easy year and that normally he wouldn't have won. In front of him was his starter Sceptile, "Sceptile bullet seed." On the other side of the battle field was girl in her early 20s, with bright orange hair, a yellow top, and short shorts. Her name is Misty, the Cerulean city gym leader. In front of her is her Gyarados, "Gyarados block with aqua tail." The aqua tail and bullet seed colisded attacks canceled each other out. "Sceptile, leaf blade." "Gyarados, crunch." The two Pokemon charged at each other, Gyarados was about to strike, but Sceptile dodged at the last second then continued his attack and hit Gyarados. Misty smiled, "not bad Max, your getting better. But your not going to win." "Well like Ash used to say, never give up till the end." This caused Misty's smile to disappear as it pissed her off. "Well Max here's a new lesson for you." She then touched a stone on her necklace, Gyarados then mega evolved. "Quick Sceptile leaf storm." "Gyarados hyper beam." The hyper beam cut through the leaf storm and hit Sceptile sending him flying back, landing in front of Max with swirly eye's. "Sceptile is unable to battle. Making Gyarados and Misty the winners." Announced Cilan who was the referee for the match. Max then returned Sceptile, "You did great buddy, we'll do better next time." "Hey Max." Max looked up and say Misty walking up to him. "You did pretty good, I can tell that Sceptile is getting stronger. But here's the lesson from that match, some trainers are ass holes. They will go overboard just to crush you as quickly as possible just to send a message to other trainers." "Thanks." Max said a little depressed. "Son focus on the positive for now. Misty's right, Sceptile is defiantly getting stronger." Max looked up a saw his father Norman, his sister May, and there friend Dawn walking over. "Thanks dad." "Now come on, let's get Sceptile to the ships Pokemon center." With that they walked off.

After they left Dawn and May glared at Misty, "what was that all about." They both asked angrily. "What, just training." Misty said casually. "That wasn't training, that was overkill." Said Dawn with her hands on her hips. "You never mega evolve Gyarados unless your opponent also uses mega evolution, and you know Max can't mega evolve any of his pokemon." Said May with her left hand on her hips and putting her right pointer finger in Misty's face. "You heard him, he was referencing Ash again. After all our work helping him train with Ash no where to be seen, you'd think he would resent him, but no he still gives him some credit when he wins. It just pisses me off." Misty said angrily. "I know, but there's nothing we can do about it. I just hope he forgets about him soon." Replied May now much more calm, "come on, let's go get some breakfast before the ship docks." "Sounds good. Umm, where's Brock and Iris?" Asked Misty. "Over there." Cilan said pointing to the edge of the ship. Everyone sweet dropped as they saw both Brock and Iris with there heads hanging over the railing. "So they are still sea sick I take it." Dawn said. Cilan nodded, "I would have thought after three days they would have gotten used to being at sea." "Well let's think positive," everyone looked at Misty, "at least Brock hasn't been making a fool of himself by hitting on all the girls on board." Everyone nodded in agreement.

About two hours later the ship was docked and everyone was ready to get off. Even though they could stay on the ship during the tournament because of Brock and Iris they decided to stay at one of the Pokemon centers on the island. Shortly after getting off the ship Brock started feeling better, this was made known as he was found professing his love to a girl with lemon blonde hair and a white and red outfit. Misty was on her was to get him by the ear when the girl walked away and Brock came back on his own with a defeated look on his face. Before anyone could ask what she said Brock told them, "She's said she's engaged." Everyone sweat dropped. Brocks father Flint then came up to him and patted his back, "It's ok son, you'll find the right girl one day." Brock then stood up tall, thanked his father, and started walking. Then saw a young women with black hair, he tried to run to her to profess is love, but was stopped by Misty grabbing him by the ear before he got too far away, "when your dad said one day I don't think he meant today." Misty said as she pulled him back, she held his ear until they reached his room to keep him under control.

After everyone dropped there things off in there rooms they met up in the Pokemon Center lobby to decide what to do next. "So where are we all going to do now?" asked Brocks mother Lola. "Let's go to the beach." Misty suggested excitedly, almost everyone agreed with that idea. "I'll pass, I'm going to stay here and train with my Pokemon." Stated Max. "Sweety you can't train all the time, you need to have some fun too." Said Max's mother Caroline. "Mom, I need to train if I want to make any progress in this tournament. I don't have mega evolution as an option like alot of these trainers, and even if I did the champions are participating," Max then looked down, "I know I don't stand a chance at winning," Max then looked up at the group again, "but my Pokemon and I aren't going to get any stronger unless we face strong trainers, and some of the strongest in the world are here. My Pokemon and I need to be as ready as possible to make it as far as we can." Everyone smiled, then his father spoke, "That's the spirit son, but your mother is right you need to relax too or you'll be too burnt out at your battles. So here's a compromise, train till lunch, I'll even stay with you to help, then you and your Pokemon relax a bit." "Deal, thanks." Max said happily.

After an intense two hours of training Max and his dad left to meet the others for lunch at a restaurant at the beach called "Ka Papa Hana Hou", which was native Alolan that translates to "Fresh Start Cafe". When they arrived at the restaurant they noticed the large crowd of people waiting to be seated. The restaurant didn't look very fancy, besides it's great location right on the beach Max couldn't understand while there was such a large crowd, Dawn told him that it was considered one of the best restaurants in the whole region and that the Alola champion was rumored to be part owner. When they finally got to there table they noticed the waiter looked very familiar, he was a man with blue hair about shoulder length in his mid to late twenties, and seemed to be trying very hard to keep a pleasant attitude toward them, however they decided not to worry about it and enjoyed there meal.

After the meal they all split up to do there own things, except for the Maples. Caroline said that this was going to double as a family vacation and now was family time. "So where are we headed?" Max asked to nobody in particular. "Know where special, just the mall for some shopping." May said with a smile. "Oh ok, sounds..." Max froze in fear once it clicked on his head where they were going. If there was one thing Max hated above all else it was shopping. "Actually I just remembered this thing I have to do, got to go bye." Max said in a slight panic as he ran away as fast as he could. "Oh no you don't, get back here." May yelled as she chased Max trying to catch him. Max was fast and felt like he was going to get away, until he made a turn and bumped right into someone, resulting in both of them falling backwards. "I'm so sorry. Let me..." Max said as he quickly got up and put out his hand to help the person he knocked down up, but stopped and when he saw her, she was about fifteen years old with long lemon blonde hair. "Let me help you up." Max said as he recovered his speech and pulled her up. "I'm so sorry, I should have been watching where I was going. My name's Max by the way." Max said nervously. "I'm Bonnie and this is Dedenne, and it's ok." Bonnie said as she looked at him. She already knew who he was and had to admit, he looked cuter in person, and gauging from his blush he thought she look pretty cute too. Before either could speak again May came up from behind Max, "nice try Max but your not getting away," and hit him in the head hard, sending him to the ground. Bonnie got down to help him up. As she did she glared at May, "what is your problem, why did you hit him like that." "It's fine my little brothers tough, he can handle it." But Bonnie wasn't listening, "Max are you ok?" "I'm fine, thanks." May smirked when she saw this, "So Max, are you going to introduce me to your girlfriend?" "Shut up May." Max said as he was rubbing the back of his head where he was hit. May then looked to Bonnie, "Hi, my name's May." "I'm Bonnie." Bonnie replied with a rather annoyed tone. "So are you participating in the tournament too?" May questioned. "No, I'm here to cheer on my big brother and our friends." "Oh yeah, what league did he win?" Max asked curious if he's heard of him. "He didn't win a league, he and our friends are all part of the Alola elite four and the Champion." Bonnie said with a smirk. "What! Your brother is an elite four, man he must be tough." Max said shocked,  nobody outside of Alola knew much about the Alola champion and elite four, except that they were known to be very strong, almost to the level of a league champion. The champion was even less known because nobody who challenged the Alola league ever made it to him, but there are rumors that he had an unofficial match against  the Indigo League Champion Lance after he became champion, and that the match ended in a draw. "Well we need to go, say bye to your girlfriend Max." May said as she grabed him by the collar of his shirt and began to drag him away. "Wait," Bonnie said. May stopped and looked back as Max looked up at her. Bonnie was nervous, she looked down, "during the tournament, after the opening ceremony, would you like to sit with me in the league suite?" The league suite was a special section of the stadium where all the champions, elite four, Pokemon league officials, and there friends and family could sit during the tournament. The suite was about half way up the stadium, which had the best view for battles, several bars and an extensive all you can eat buffet. Max's eyes widened, "are you serious." Bonnie nodded, "I know I'll be able to get my brother or the champion to get you in, but only you." Glaring at May when she said the last part. May saw this but thought that it was just because of how she was treating Max. "Sure I'd love to." Max said excitedly. "Great." Bonnie said excitedly, "Here's my cell number in case I can't find you." Bonnie pulled out a pen and grabed Max's hand and wrote her number on his palm. "Well I got to go, bye Max." With that Bonnie ran off, leaving Max frozen in place with a bright red blush on his face. May tried to tease him but he didn't respond. So she just grabbed him by the arm and lead him back to their parents. When there parents found out his mother hugged him saying how her little boy is growing up so fast. While Norman joked calling Max a ladies man, also to try and take advantage of the opportunity being around some of the world's best and try and learn a few things.

The rest of the day until dinner consisted of May teasing Max about Bonnie, and Max and Norman carrying the girls bags. After they joined back up this the rest of the traitors and there parents May told them about Bonnie. Brock cried since Max can get a date and he can't, Dawn screamed in delight and started to bombard him with a million questions, Iris said he wasn't a little kid anymore, Cilan said something nobody really understood, and Misty stayed quiet, jealous she can't find a man of her own.

That night was the first time since he signed up for the tournament that he wasn't thinking about it or wonder where Ash was. Instead his thoughts were around a girl with lemon blonde hair and how he couldn't wait to see her again.
