savior
heart heart,
my poor heart
once considered
torn apart
now blooms
under the light--
oh!
the kind,
that shatters gloom,
oh!
the kind,
that burns my sight,
oh!
the kind,
that shields my mind
the kind of light,
when it slithers through,
the thickest canopy,
of hope;
spans its rays
stays for days
holds its breath
for the looming death
of
heartbreak:
with a slick fake body--
that now awoke
for a swift movement
through the delta
of my subconscious...
pain purged,
fear surged--
fear...
fear rose,
on his knees,
licked his lips,
smiled his sleazy smile,
came on to me--
stunned me!
once a rapist
always a rapist
LEAVE ME
I screamed
LEAVE ME
it did...
head head,
my poor head
once a bed
for nightmares
shrieked;
finally...
and now they tell me,
"dear,
it was all in your head.
fear?
he was never real!"
"tears,
dear,
your tears
from your
phantom fear,
now...
they were real, dear," they sob;
"oh, how real..."
with another head bob.
even when the light waned
my smile felt no more pained
it slipped, slipped, and slipped...
through the cracks,
through the delta,
through heartbreak--
and now I hear...
"hey, look at that smile!"
