Trigger Warnings: a crazy cat, cat related injuries

     It had been a few days since the split. The Creativity twins have been calling it the second split and the name caught on. The sides had been taking turns caring for the two siblings. Making them food, hanging out with them, making sure they are alright. The siblings spent a lot of time in their room just hanging out, gossiping, playing. Every night when the two siblings are in bed, or at least in their room, the sides would gather in the living room and talk about them.

     Janus was the last to arrive in the living room. It was Janus' day to watch the kids and he just went to drop off some food. Specifically mashed potatoes and chicken from KFC. The siblings hated eating in front of the others unless it was just Janus or Thomas. They seemed to have warmed up to Janus pretty quickly.

     Everyone was sitting around.

     Janus sat in his seat and the makeshift meeting began. "Janus, any theories as to why the kids warmed up to you so fast?" Roman asked.

     "Are you just jelly that the coffee beans warmed up to snake boy and not you?" Remy asked taking a sip from his coffee.

     "That's not true!" Roman exclaimed.

     "It's totally true," Remus defended.

     "Who side are you on?" Roman exclaimed.

     "Before this goes any further, yes. I have a theory. They have warmed up to Thomas and then I. I have a feeling that they are warming up to us in the same order that Virgil warmed up to all of us. The next person they should get along with is Remy," Janus said.

     "Remy? Why Remy?" Logan asked.

     "Because it's the order Virge warmed up in. Thomas, me, Remy, Remus, Logan, Patton, Roman, and then Emile."

     "Any updates on their personalities?" Logan asked.

     "Well when in dire situations, their personalities switch," Remus shrugged.

     "Explain."

     "Well usually, Speedy is brash and sarcastic. She is also impulsive. She doesn't really care what others will think until after she's away from people. Dare I say, she's confident around people. Ruby thinks about what he's going to say so he's practically useless in debates or verbal arguments. He's timid around others and if he is around people he can trust that when he will start adding comments and stuff. He thinks too much about how others thing about him. When in a situation where they feel unsafe, their personalities switch so that Ruby is the more confident one and Speedy is more timid," Remus shrugged.

     "Oh I get it! Ruby has more social anxiety tendencies and from the way Speedy talks, she has more generalized anxiety along with the depressive part of being Anxiety," Emile pointed out.

     "I would also like to point out that I was correct in my first statement when they appeared. Speedy focuses more on the past. I've seen Speedy talk with Thomas at times about what he had done his day and what he could have done better. Ruby however focuses about the future, hence him not being able to come up with witty responses on the spot. This also works with Speedy being impulsive where as Ruby is more planned out," Logan said.

     "Does their hobbies have anything to do with it?" Remy asked.

     "Their hobbies? I haven't really looked into those. What are their hobbies again?" Logan asked.

     "Speedy is a musician. She picks up instruments quickly and she knows how to play the ukulele, guitar, violin, and I think she's learning the flute right now. She's also a gamer and she likes to read and run. Does sleeping count as a hobby?" Janus asked and he received a nod from Remy. He recalled the instruments in her room and the gaming posters.

     "Ruby is a writer and artist. He plans before he does anything though. He writes poetry and small stories. He often gets writers and artist block however. He usually only draw or paints the same things over and over but just with small variations. He only really draws people and paints sunsets. He's trying to learn how to draw other stuff but it's taking him a while," Janus said. He recalled the art supplies and journals.

     "That also checks out. With gaming there is some strategy, but you can find games where a lot of it is impulse. Also with her musical talent, you are just 'going with the flow'. With writing there is a lot of planning and the way how Ruby's personality is it makes sense for him to want a set plan before doing something," Logan deduced.

     "Like how Virgil doesn't like change but still accepts it," Roman said. Logan didn't even bother to correct Roman's 'doesn't' to 'didn't.'

     "Actually a lot of what the kids do can be traced back to how Virgil acted," Emile said quietly.

     A silence fell over the group. They were at the end of their meeting.

     Someone had to ask the question.

     "Are we going to try and get him back?" Remus asked quietly.

(Oh gosh here come the tears ahhhhh)

     "I don't know. It could be permanent, it could not be," Logan said.

     "It's a fifty fifty chance and there's no one to experiment on," Emile said.

     "Us. Try us!" Roman exclaimed.

     "No!" Janus and Patton said at the same time. Patton has been silent for the past few days. Ever since the second split. He had never spoke or acted out, never gone near the children. But now his child, Roman, was offering to try something that could be permanent. Janus spoke out for the same reason.

     Janus walked over to Remus and hugged him, "I lost one son, I'm not losing another. If this fusion thing is permanent, we don't know what will happen!"

     "Maybe what we need it to stop being anxious about this!" Roman yelled, standing up. "We need to stop fearing what could happen! We need to at least try!"

     "Try what?"

     Everyone turned around to find Speedy in the doorway holding the tray that Janus left with the kids.

     "Uh... nothing... Here, let me take that," Janus said.

     "Nah. It's fine. I was going to get some Gatorade anyway," Speedy said. She walked over to the kitchen humming the tune to Little Do You Know. She threw her trash away and put the tray in the sink. Walking over to the fridge, she grabbed a Gatorade bottle walked back into the living room. "What's with your little meeting thing over here?"

     "Oh nothing. Just deciding how things are going in Thomas' life," Roman said.

     "Oh. Well okay. Uh, might I suggest figuring out what you guys are going to do about the Sanders Sides series. People are waiting for the next episode. They want to know what happened to Virgil, whoever he is," Speedy shrugged and walked down the hall. She came back a few seconds later and walked up to Remy, "Could you open this please?"

     Remy opened the bottle and handed it to her. She said thanks and walked back down to her room.

     Once everyone heard the door shut, they started talking again.

     "Oh gosh, the videos!" Roman exclaimed.

     "The kids don't know how to sink down or rise up yet," Logan muttered.

     "It doesn't matter if they don't know how to rise up, we don't have Virgil anyways!" Roman argued.

     "Is no one going to acknowledge that they don't even know who Virgil is?! How are we supposed to explain that?!" Remy exclaimed. Remy groaned, "What are we going to do?!"

     "We could introduce the kids???" Emile suggested.

     "They don't even know how to rise up!" Remus exclaimed.

     "Look, we'll talk with Thomas about this later, okay? Let's just go to bed," Janus said standing up.

     A door slammed shut down the hall the two pairs of pattering footsteps ran down the hall. Everyone looked towards the doorway again.

     "Oh- uh- you're still here," Speedy trailed off.

     "Uh- not to alarm anyone, but has anyone seen Susan?" Ruby asked, earning a light slap on the arm from Speedy.

     "Susan?" Emile asked.

     "It's Vir- I mean their pet spider. I believe she's a tarantula?" Janus asked. He got a nod from the twins.

     "Uh oh..." Remus quietly said. He started to back away ever so slowly.

     With Speedy's enhanced hearing, she heard him. She looked his way, "Remus... Do you have something that you want to tell us?" Everyone turned towards Remus who had backed up to the wall.

     "Uhhh... No?"

     "REMUS DID YOU EAT OUR FUCKING SPIDER?!" Ruby yelled.

     "Language!" Emile yelled out.

     "I did not eat your spider! All I did was make it an eight foot tall monster that uses human flesh as webbing for its webs!" 

     Everyone's mouths dropped. "You turned our spider into Aragog?!" Speedy yelled.

     "No! Aragog doesn't use human flesh as webbing! I made Susan into a cooler Aragog that spits venom!" 

     "Okay you have to admit that this is cool," Ruby said.

     "No! Susan was the best!" Speedy screeched.

     Speedy turned towards Remus, "I'm giving you five seconds."

     "What's a little kitty going to do to me?! Scratch me a little? Hah!"

     "One..."

     "Oh no..."

     "Two..."

     Speedy bared her teeth to reveal sharp canines.

     "Now Speedy we can talk about this..."

     "Three..."

     Speedy's fingernails turned into long sharp claws.

     "Four..."

     "Speedy- we can come to an understanding!"

     "Five....."

      Remus gasped as Speedy's eyes turned a deep purple, Virgil's color of purple. Remus started to sink down, taking advantage of the fact that Speedy can't sink down yet. Although, he was too slow. 

     Speedy pounced at him and grabbed onto Remus' arm. Her claws dug into Remus' shoulder blades and he called out in surprise. He continued to sink down, taking Speedy with him. 

     The sides that were left in the room were left in shock. 

     "I thought you said that Speedy was Flight!" Janus shouted out.

     "I didn't think she could get this violent!" Logan responded sharply.

     "In her defense, Remus basically kidnapped her spider," Ruby said.

     "Shit! I'm the only one who is allowed to kill Remus!" Roman shrieked, sinking out. 

     Everyone was left in silence in the living room. 

     "Five dollars that Speedy comes out unscaved," Remy said while taking a sip from his coffee.

     "You are betting on my sister's physical wellbeing?!" Ruby shrieked.

     "Five dollars that Speedy at least has a bruise when we find them," Ruby muttered out. 

Oooooo... I have a plan and I don't know if I like the plan... Don't worry, I won't kill a character... again... I'll just majorly injure a character... He'll be fine...
