*Riddhi Pov*

"I just hate this uniform." Shiv grumbled from beside me and I shook my head asking him to be quiet.

"What? This is not some jail to wear this type or even this color to work right?" he asked when another customer walked towards the desk.

Taking her order for the flavor she liked, I turned towards him with a smile and held his hand.

"I know this is not a good color, but think about how we will save our clothes if some ice cream falls on us." I said to which he smirked.

"You know how to make me understand, right? That's what I told my mother that you always keep me in check." He said brushing my cheek.

"You are missing them, right?" I asked understanding his pain which is not that different from mine.

"Yeah! Now, let's get back to our work." He mumbled and we both continued our work in silence.

I am really glad that he is fine with this job and his friends didn't walk near to this place during the whole week we already worked.

He is also not talking about them near me which is strange because he always talks about their antics and everything but stopped from the day he lost the job in a supermarket.

"Here you go!" I said smiling at a small kid and glanced at the clock to see that our shift is over but then felt a splash on my neck.

"I don't want this! I want that." The kid said glaring at me while I stared at him in shock.

"You little..." Shiv started saying reaching near me but the kid's parents reached apologizing.

"It is ok!" I mumbled and gave them another one after which they paid for both.

"We can leave!" I mumbled showing him the clock.

"Let's go home and clean ourselves." He said when we saw that the washroom is being occupied by someone for too long.

I nodded cleaning a little with tissue and reached our flat soon before I rushed to the washroom with him following me.

"Are you ok?" he asked, taking a cloth and made it wet.

"Yeah! Just shocked that he has thrown it." I replied, closing my eyes when he started cleaning my face slowly.

"Now, do you hate the job?" he asked with humor dripping his words.

"No!" I replied, shaking my head to which he chuckled before tugging my head forward and then I felt his lips on mine.

I thought he will step back after a long kiss as usual, but I felt his kisses along my neck, making me open my eyes to see him staring back at me with a desire which scared me for a few seconds but then enveloped me too.

"Shiv!" I whispered, making me think is that even my voice.

"Riddhi!" he whispered back and pulled me completely to him before driving me into another kiss.

I tugged at him repeating his actions and felt his arms all around me making me press to him, but then felt him tugging my top which brought me out of everything that is happening.

"Shiv!" I called him, but he doesn't seem to listen.

"Shiv!" this time I shouted before pushing him away and he immediately stared at me.

"I am not ready." I whispered to which he slowly nodded before rubbing his face.

"I am sorry! I just couldn't stop myself." He whispered forwarding his hand.

"It is ok! Even it was same for me." I mumbled and he nodded before hugging me.

"You are not angry, right?" he asked with a scared tone.

"No!" I replied, closing my eyes.

"Hey!" I heard a voice when I sat at my place and turned to see a girl smiling at me.

"Hi! How are you?" I asked, to which she replied and we talked for sometime.

She always sits beside me and we just have a few talks, but not much more. I glanced around to see where is Shiv as he said he will come within few minutes.

Then I saw him entering the class with his friends and I waved at him smiling, which he returned before walking near to me where he sits everyday.

"Shiv! Let's sit at last today. And you should join." Sam said, tugging him.

"But..." Shiv started saying looking at me.

"Well, she seems to be into classes so she can't come with us right and we are not going to hear the classes by the way." Sailu said shaking her head.

"Do you want to sit there?" I asked, looking at Shiv, who seems to be in complete confusion.

"Yeah! It will be fun too." He replies shrugging.

"Then go and it is just for a day right." I said, smiling and he waited for a few seconds before nodding.

"See, even your girlfriend has given the green signal." Sailu said, dragging him away while smirking at me.

What did she think? That I will stop him from doing that? Why would I stop him from doing something at all?

"Ok sir! Thanks for this." I said, nodding at the lecturer after getting my doubt cleared and walked towards the canteen for the lunch.

They four seemed to be in deep discussion, laughing to themselves and Shiv just seemed to be like a person whom we couldn't stay without looking at.

"Hi!" I said, walking near them and stopped in my tracks when I saw them all becoming silent.

"Is something wrong?" I asked them nervously.

"No! There is nothing wrong." Shiv said, smiling and looked around only to frown to see that there is no empty seat.

"Looks like we occupied all when you were busy studying." Sam said shrugging.

"I will get another chair for you." Charlie said, getting up and got one from another table.

"Thanks." I said, smiling at him and sat beside Shiv.

"You got your doubt cleared?" he asked and I nodded smiling.

"We all are thinking about go to a ice-cream parlor today." Sailu said laughing.

"I can't believe that I let it out without knowing. I know you all will tease and that was why I didn't share." Shiv said groaning.

"Why would they tease?" I asked him frowning.

"Why wouldn't we? I mean working in a parlor? What are you guys even thinking?" Sam said laughing along with Sailu.

"We were thinking about part-time jobs without wasting time so that we can see to our necessities." I said, staring at both of them with a blank look after which they both stopped laughing.

"Well, we thought we were your friends and joking with you. I am sorry if I thought wrong." Sailu said, getting up along with Sam and Charlie before walking away.

"I just replied." I mumbled, turning towards Shiv only to see him frowning at me.

"Why were you rude, Riddhi? They were just joking, right?" he asked, shaking his head.

"But..." I started saying to which he stood up, glancing at his friends sitting at another table.

"I will go and apologize. You do not worry." He said, nodding at me and walked away while I sat alone on that table making me feel scared suddenly which seemed to be silly.

After a few minutes he waved to me and I walked near them before sitting beside Shiv while everyone nearly ignored me.

They all started talking to each other, but not a word left my mouth and not a word left for me. This seems to be the most awkward lunch I ever had.

"Are you ok?" Shiv asked when I stood in silence near the parlor counter.

"Yeah!" I replied, smiling at the customer.

"Why are you not talking to me then?" he asked when the customer left.

"Did you talk during the lunch?" I asked back turning towards him.

"I was busy with coolling them down, Riddhi. We will need time to adjust to their teasing and I even invited them here for some ice-cream." He replied making my mouth wide open.

"Did you forgot that the owner will be here today?" I asked him in a whisper.

"So what? Don't worry about small things, Riddhi." He said squeezing my cheek and walked away.

"Nice place!" I heard a shrill of a comment and turned to see Sailu and Sam walking inside the parlor.

"Oh my god!" they both suddenly said and started laughing staring at Shiv.

"Are you joining even in a circus?" Sam asked, to which Shiv grumbled before opening the menu for them.

"Where is Charlie?" Shiv asked them when they both were busy with the menu.

"Today is his girlfriend's birthday, which he forgot and you can expect the remaining drama." Sailu said and they three started laughing.

"What is happening here?" I groaned and turned to see the owner standing near us.

"Nothing, Sir! I will call the main head." I replied and walked inside the storage room to see him checking the containers.

"I will not spare it the second time. You are here to work and not waste time." I heard the words when I walked outside.

"Ok sir!" Shiv said and he walked away.

"Looks like he is similar to that manager in super market. Why don't you leave this job?" Sailu suddenly said.

"There is nothing wrong here and don't give such suggestions. It is not good to leave the jobs just for a small reason." I said rushing near to them.

"He was insulting your boyfriend and that it is a small one? I would have slapped that owner if he said the same things for my boyfriend." Sailu said shrugging and walked away.

"Shiv! Why don't we go? Our shift is over." I said, placing my hand over his.

"That was not a small thing, Riddhi." That's all he said when we walked inside the flat and walked inside the room.

Why is everything rushing and going in wrong decision? I thought holding my face and walked inside the room to see him sleeping.

"You are the best for me, Shiv." I whispered and he immediately opened his eyes.

"Really?" he asked, smiling and I smiled back nodding.

He pulled me to him and hugged me tightly before we both drifted off into sleep immediately with still a headache lingering in my head for today's events.
