Chapter 24
*Shiv Pov*
"So, how is it going?" Charlie asked sitting beside me.
"I think I should read each minute otherwise I will fail." I replied to which he laughed.
"I was asking about Riddhi." He explained.
"I know! As I can't see any positive signs and fearing to say that out loud, I changed the topic." I explained to which he nodded.
"How is it with Sailu?" I asked, staring at her sitting alone at another side of the class.
"She is fine now and concentrating on the exams and a few are talking to her. This is college, Shiv. Any event becomes old soon with the entrance of a new one." He explained.
"She is lucky to have you as her friend." I said smiling.
"Then it is a good thing. She need all the luck in the world right now while realizing her mistakes. Even her parents are angry at her as the news passed across their society right." he said and I nodded sighing.
"After the completion of exams, you will not have any chance like this to make her come back to you. So, don't stop at anything but don't forget to respect her wishes." He said and stood up walking towards Sailu like everyday and they both started talking to each other.
"Hey Riddhi!" I asked, walking towards her bench.
"Hi Shiv!" she said, smiling and I smiled back.
At least I got to this point after trying for the past four months at every moment. I tried to go to café everyday just to have a word with her spend time.
She got a little irritated, but got used to this, but still saying that nothing will come out of it which I totally deserve though.
"I just got this doubt." I said, opening the book to which Rose raised her eyebrow.
"I really have this doubt." I added to which she shook her head and moved so that I can sit on their bench.
"Thanks!" I said when she completed her explanation.
"I am glad that you got it and all the best for the exams." She said and I nodded still sitting there itself.
"I know! I am disturbing you during the exams, but why don't we go anywhere?" I asked to which she frowned.
"Sure! Come to café today." She said and I groaned hearing her words.
"You know I really can't bear the glaring looks from those twins and they will join with us completely." I said to which Rose laughed.
"I always told you I love them right?" Rose said and I frowned at her.
"Shiv! You should start listening to me." Riddhi suddenly said in a serious tone.
"And I just wish if you give a little thought about our relation." I said to which she frowned.
"Fine! Our exams will start from day after tomorrow and I will think completely about what if we get back together. If I feel like we should then I will tell you on my own." She finally said after staring at me for a few minutes.
"Thank you so much." I said, getting up and walked towards my bench from where many of them gave me thumbs up.
Everything changed during these four months more than I have ever imagined. Who would have thought that she will be the one who saved me again from being alone forever?
If I hadn't started thinking how to make up with Riddhi and think about the mistakes I have done and thought about my behavior.
Then I wouldn't have known how I behaved with others and how I stayed in my world and wouldn't have changed it because of which I have many friends now.
Yeah! They are not close friends, but they are friends who really care for me. I smiled at them and sat at my place hoping she will only get positive thoughts regarding this.
"Mom! Dad! You both will be here for graduation, right?" I asked when Mom called me after my last exam.
"Of course! We don't want to miss Riddhi's graduation." Mom said still with anger tone.
"Mom! I realized my mistake and wishing to correct it completely. I need your support and not anger." I said, frowning to which she sighed.
"We will be there, but why are you in a hurry for talking?" Dad asked and I smiled at the mirror.
"Today I will make her come out with me somehow." I replied and hung up before taking a deep breath.
"What are you doing here again? Manager asked and I smiled at him.
"I am here for Riddhi." I replied, to which he sighed and called her.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, frowning while walking near to me.
"Will you please come to park with me? Just park and nothing else." I requested to which she frowned more.
"Nothing else?" she asked after a few seconds.
"Nothing!" I replied, nodding to which she nodded back before talking to the Manager and walked outside.
"You wore a suit for going to park?" she asked staring at my attire.
"I just wanted to know whether this is good for graduation." I replied and she nodded before we sat at the bench entering the park.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked after a few minutes of silence.
"What is it?" she asked, turning towards me.
"Do you still hate me?" I asked, to which she chuckled.
"The sad thing was I never hated you. I tried too much, but I just couldn't. Because if I did then it would be me kicking the six years of my life. So, I never hated you." She explained and I felt still hearing her words.
"Don't you think you should have hated me or someone else?" I asked her frowning.
"Oh! I hated someone too much. I never liked Sailu but bared her just for you. I mean I know she never liked me too, so didn't feel guilty for being normal to her even though I didn't want to from inside." She replied and I laughed shaking my head.
After a few minutes she stood up, glancing at her watch. I frowned, following her to which she gave a small smile.
"I really need to go. The customers will be too many at café and they need extra help." She said and I nodded before hugging her which she returned patting my back and walked away.
What will be your decision, Riddhi? I just hope it is not something which I feel at the corner of my head.
*Riddhi Pov*
"I am so happy that you both are here. I need to make you both meet so many people." I said excitedly holding my parents luggage trolley and walked towards the car Café Uncle gave me sending Noah and Jonah with me.
"Aunty! You are looking amazing." Noah said, winking at my Mom.
"But Uncle seems to be more amazing than Aunty." Jonah said making both of them look at these two in shock.
"I will not choose between you just because you both try to butter them." I said glaring at them, for which they sighed and put the luggage inside the car.
"They are great kids, Dad. They would bring smile on anyone's face except on the one whom they target." I said to which he laughed and they made a paining sound immediately hearing the word kids.
"He is café Uncle for me, but their Dad who gave me a great place to live and a job to earn while studying." I said introducing the Uncle.
"And she makes great cakes, Mom." I said smiling at Aunty.
"And here is our modern Grandfather. He is rude, but kind hearted like our coconut." I said, grinning at him to which he glared at me.
"I don't know how to thank any of you for taking care of our daughter." Dad said joining his hands.
"Well, we should thank you both in return." Café Uncle said laughing and hugged Dad.
"So, excited for the graduation?" Dad asked when they all decided that Mom and Dad will stay at Café Uncle's house.
"Totally!" I replied, grinning and I closed my eyes, feeling nervous but excitement too.
"Riddhi!" I heard two people calling me and turned to see Jim and Lisa walking towards me.
"You guys came?" I asked smiling at them.
"Dad! Mom! I want you to meet these two amazing people." I called them and they turned away from talking to Rose and walked towards me.
"Looking great!" Lisa said, gesturing my attire.
"Well, graduation comes once." I said, smiling and watched my parents talking to them.
"Happy that everyone are here?" Rose asked joining me.
"Yeah!" I replied, smiling and then felt someone's hand on my shoulder.
"Riddhi! How are you?" I turned to see Shiv's Mom smiling at me.
"I am fine! How are you, Aunty?" I asked and then glanced to her side to see Uncle and Shiv.
Uncle and Aunty started talking with my parents until we were asked to settle down as the graduation is starting.
After it finished, I rushed to my parents along with the family I have in California and also Jim and Lisa. Along with them even Shiv's parents congratulated me.
"Congrats, Riddhi!" I heard someone saying and turned to see Sailu and Charlie after my parents left with Jim and Lisa to canteen feeling a little hungry.
"Thanks! For you too." I said in a normal tone.
"I am sorry!" she whispered, looking at me and walked away.
"No need to forgive her just forget her." Charlie said, smiling at me and I hugged him for everything he had done.
"Thank you!" I said and he nodded before following Sailu.
"Congrats!" Shiv said, standing before me.
"You too!" I said, giving him a small smile.
"Can we talk?" he asked nervously.
I stared at him and know that I need to do it right now and I nodded before we both walked towards a bench near the wall where no one was there and even not looking at this side.
