*Riddhi Pov*

"Riddhi! Come to my cabin." I heard the manager's voice from the speaker and frowned, thinking why he is calling me.

"What is it, Sir?" I asked, closing the door still frowning.

"Your college starts from tomorrow." He replied and I held the chair needing a little support hearing those words.

I completely forgot about the college re-opening and that I have to go there. To top of all these things I have to see both of them together.

"Ok!" I mumbled, coming out of my thoughts, but still didn't understand why did he call me here.

"You can't work full-time, right?" he asked and I groaned realizing another thing.

"Don't worry, Riddhi! You can do part time here after college, but only for a few hours and not until night." He added and I immediately nodded.

"Ok, sir!" I said, feeling relief that at least I will not lose this job.

"You will go to college right?" he suddenly asked, staring at my face.

"I need to!" I whispered and left the room feeling dreadful inside even thinking about all this.

"I know you will not move from your place." Rose muttered when I opened the door hearing some loud knocks.

"What are you doing here? I mean it is just six." I said, frowning at her.

"Well, you are in need of a makeover for today's entrance and I am here to provide it. They must never know that you are hurt and must see how happy you are." She said opening her bag and I smiled at her.

"You should look so amazing that he will regret ever leaving you." She added smiling at me.

"Sit down!" I mumbled, making her sit on the single chair present in my room.

"Why should I portray something I am not and also something which I am not feeling? I have never acted showing something out while something else was inside. Then why should I start it now?" I asked her smiling.

"I always thought and wanted him to like me for me but not for the way I look and the things I wear." I mumbled and immediately shook my head coming out of my thoughts.

"And what is the need for makeover? Am I not looking good everyday?" I asked frowning.

"No! I just wish you find some guy and show them you moved on." She said sighing.

"I will move on, Rose. And I will find someone, but when I know I can be in another relation. For now I am in need of thinking about my life. It is not good for the guy too, if I start being with him still with the feelings I have for Shiv in my heart." I said staring at her.

"When will you forget him, then?" she asked frowning.

"It was not a simple attraction or crush or even likeness, Rose. It was everything for me and it will take time." I replied to which she nodded.

"Fine! But still we will go to college together and don't throw me out of your room." She said, settling herself properly and I nodded smiling before started getting ready to go to college.

"Are you nervous?" Rose asked when we started walking towards our classroom.

"Yeah!" I mumbled when I saw that she is staring at my shaking hands.

"Don't be! I am here." She said, assuring me and I nodded before entering the room.

Everyone immediately stopped talking to each other and stared at me making me feel confused. How did they know about everything?

It is not like they both are even here right now. I thought, frowning, but settled in my place along with Rose.

"How did they know?" I asked her frowning.

"He... he changed his relationship status and they all posted their close pics on a social site." She whispered reluctantly and I stilled in my place.

"Breathe!" she added and I nodded, taking long breaths, hoping the tears doesn't visit me in front for everyone.

I really released my breath when our lecturer entered the class, but the people whom I was not looking forward to see didn't come at all.

"Come on! Let's go for lunch." Rose said, bringing me out of my thoughts and I nodded, standing up feeling their eyes as usual like from the morning.

"How are you feeling, Riddhi?" one of my classmate asked, walking near us when we moved towards the door.

"Fine!" I mumbled frowning at him and walked away.

"Don't worry! They will forget about this soon finding something else to mind." Rose assured me and I nodded wishing even I can forget it the same way.

"What shall we eat?" she asked when we stood before the counter.

"I don't want to eat anything." I replied, not feeling any hungry today with all the thinking and the looks.

"Don't be like that and eat something." She forced and made me buy some lunch before we walked near to a table and sat down.

"I am so glad that they are not here today." She said, sighing and we started having our food.

She is feeling glad while I am wishing to slap myself for thinking regarding why he skipped college today.

Why am I even thinking about the things he does and not does? He is not mine anymore, right? I thought, shaking my head.

"It's fine, Shiv. Don't worry at all." I heard the words in Sailu's voice making me still in my seat but I couldn't look up at all.

"We should have stayed back at home without coming here, even for afternoon classes for today." I heard Sam's voice.

"What do you say, Shiv? Shall we stay or leave?" Sailu asked and this time I glanced up only to meet his eyes staring at me with a frown.

"We will stay!" he replied to her and I glanced at their hands joining together.

Oh god! I thought gulping down the food and held my hands together under the table tightly, hoping I will not do anything stupid and not cry before them.

"Why didn't you take the money?" he asked walking near to me and groaned looking at everyone who are in return looking at us.

"That is not mine." I simply whispered not even able to get the words out.

"But I gave them to you." He insisted and I glanced at Rose with a pleading look.

"Let's go!" she said, standing up and I followed her.

"What? She is your best friend now?" He asked when I started walking away.

"I don't care whether I am her best friend or not. I am glad even to be her just a classmate like many in this college." Rose replied while I stared at him in disbelief.

Why is he behaving like this? Was leaving me not enough? Did I ever know him at all or was just in some illusion?

I shook my head, knowing well that all these thoughts are useless to even think now and walked away still feeling the same hurt and thinking when will it even start reducing.

"That jerk!" Rose mumbled, shaking her head and we walked inside our classroom.

"You are my closest friend, Rose. You assured me I am not alone and I can say you are my first close friend I have made in this college. They were never my friends." I said when I saw her thinking about something.

"I am really glad then." She said smiling and we both sat in silence.

I just hope this year finishes fast and I need not feel the piercing inside the heart while looking at both of them together.

*Shiv Pov*

"What the hell?" I shouted glancing at the money on my bed after searching her room to see whether she is there or already left like my friends said.

"What happened?" Sailu asked entering the room.

"She didn't take the money. How was she managing?" I thought picking up and then saw some extra notes other than the ones I gave her.

"Why did she give extra money?" I mumbled and glanced at the small paper present with them.

'This was for the work you have done in the ice cream parlor, which I kept with me, but I shouldn't anymore' I read the words again and again.

"What is she thinking? Does she feel you even need this little money or care for it?" Sailu asked laughing.

"How is she managing?" I asked myself and walked out of the room looking at Charlie who is frowning at his phone.

"Were you not checking your social networking site?" he asked glancing at me.

"No! I just changed the status before you and didn't open it again." I replied frowning at his question.

"No one liked you breaking up with Riddhi but a few did." He said and started reading the messages which are nothing but bashing.

"I never knew she would fall so low, making all of them do this." Sam said shaking his head.

"Where is she staying and how is she managing?" I asked Charlie.

"She is working at a supermarket and no one knows where she is staying. Must be with her friend Rose." He replied, shrugging reading the messages.

"She has a friend?" I asked him with shock.

"Let's go to college! We already missed the morning classes." He said and we all left my house to reach the college.

"Did you really left her, Shiv?" some guy asked walking near to me when we walked towards the canteen.

"Why wouldn't he? When Sailu wants something she gets which we already know." Another commented and they walked away laughing.

"Wow! Your ex did some really good damage to me and we are not even dating." Sailu said shaking her head in sadness.

"Congrats, Sailu." Someone else said when we entered the canteen.

"Get lost!" I said glaring at him.

"It's fine, Shiv! Don't worry at all." Sailu said holding my hand and I nodded before looking around and saw her sitting on a table with some girl.

My friends started talking something while I just stared at her and mumbled something when they asked my opinion.

"Why didn't you take the money?" I asked walking near to her.

"That is not mine." She whispered making me frown more.

"But I gave them to you." I insisted while she looked at her friend ignoring me.

"Let's go!" Her friend said, standing up and she followed her.

"What? She is your best friend now?" I asked when they started walking away.

"I don't care whether I am her best friend or not. I am glad even to be her just a classmate like many in this college." That girl replied while Riddhi stared at me with disbelief but walked away shaking her head.

"What is it, Shiv? You wanted to break up with her which you did. Why do you care whether she took the money or not? You live your life and she will live hers." Charlie said frowning at me.

"Everyone will say that I was heartless basterd for living her without any measures to help." I said glaring at her back.

"So? Just leave her alone and think about your future girlfriend who seems to be sad." He said shaking his head and walked away.

After having our lunch we walked into the class and saw everyone staring at me and then at Riddhi who is looking down at some book.

"Did she forget that today is the starting day?" Sailu asked me in a whisper but I know she is not at all moving from the moment I stared at her.

She always knows when I am looking at her and that's how we even communication during intermediate and engineering classes.

"Let's go, Shiv!" Sam said breaking into my thoughts and I nodded before walking toward sour bench at the back.

But I glanced at her again while walking beside her and saw her holding the bench tightly. I just sat during the all classes either staring at her back or lost in my thoughts until Sailu started complaining.

"Everyone is saying that I am bitch who broke you both and here you are staring at her. Why don't you go and date her again and leave me to peace?" Sailu asked staring at me and I can see tears forming in her eyes.

"I am sorry!" I mumbled knowing well what she is saying is true and I am not doing anything correct.

"Let's start dating then. Nearly two months is more than enough gap between two relations." She said while I stared at her in shock.

"I like you and you like me. What is the problem? Otherwise everyone will think you both are still together and just taking break." She added staring at me when is at in silence.

"Fine! Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked when the lecturer walked out at the end of the last class.

"Oh my god! Yes! I will be your girlfriend." She shouted before hugging me and I glanced to my side to see everyone looking at us and I caught her eyes but I looked away immediately.

This has to happen someday then why not today! I thought telling myself again and again before hugging her back.
