Jade's first day at school had been good. She did have some homework but she wasn't going to do it. She didn't care about the consequences. Kat called her and asked her about her first day at school.
"It was good. I made friends with the devil himself."
"You mean James?"
"Yeah. Isn't he handsome?"
"Jade, he's not a good guy."
"Am I a good girl, Kat?"
"Well, it's upto you. Do whatever you want to."
Jade hung up after talking for ten more minutes. She got up to make coffee but her phone rang again. This time it was James.
"Hey beautiful."
James was flirting with her so Jade decided to play along with him.
"Hey handsome."
"Oooooh, nice change. Someone's started getting frank."
"What is it James?"
"What do you mean?"
"Why have you called?"
"Oh right. I was going out to the movies so I thought I'll call you and ask if you wanted to come along?"
"Yeah sure. Just give me ten minutes."
"Ok, I'll pick you up after fifteen minutes."
"Yeah sure. Bye."
"Bye babe."
And they hung up.
It took Jade more than ten minutes to get ready. James had to keep waiting for her.
He had his back to Jade's door.
"Hey, sorry I'm late."
James turned around saying:
"What took you s..........woah! You look amazing."
"Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself."
He winked at her and they got into the car.
Jade enjoyed the company of James. They made really good friends. This was only their first outing together but they had known everything about each other in two hours. They had even told their secrets to each other though Jade hadn't told him the incident that had changed her life and attitude.
On the way back home, James said: "Jade, can I say something?"
"Yeah what is it?"
"I love you."
"That's such a lame proposal James."
"Really?" And he stopped the car in the middle of the road. All the traffic stopped. He got off the car, taking Jade out too. Once, they were out of the car, James got on his knee and took out a beautiful ring out of his pocket.
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
"James this is beautiful but this is not the right place. Get up."
"Just say yes."
"James we've only just met."
"I'm not getting up until you say yes."
"Ok fine, yes."

     The next morning, Jade greeted Kat with half open eyes. They headed to school together. Everyone was talking about Jade and James. "Did you prepare for your test?" Asked Kat.
"Nope and I don't give a danm if I fail. So stop worrying about me."
"Hmm I thought so. Umm Jade, is it true?"
"Is what true?"
"That you and James......"
"Yeah it is. And you should be happy for me. You're my friend."
"I would only if James was good for you. But he's not."
"Kat, stop complaining if you can't be happy. I like him. He may not be a good guy but he's good with me."
"Well, it's your life. I won't interfare."
"Thank you very much."

    As they entered the ground, they saw that James was bullying some nerd. That guy looked so uncomfortable. At first Jade didn't care, but when she took a closer look at the nerd, she realised that it was Mike.
"James, what the hell do you think you're doing?"
Jade stomped upto James.
"Babe, why are you talking like that to me?"
"Oh no, don't you dare babe me. You have no right to bully anyone especially not my friends."
"This is your friend?"
"Yeah so?"
"I didn't know your taste was this bad."
"James, if you insult Mike one m......"
Jade had to stop cuz James had crashed his lips onto hers. Jade was dumb-struck when James pulled away.
She was not expecting this.
"I can quiet you down, darling."
She stared at James as he walked away. Kat came around and said: "And that is your boyfriend? Seriously Jade. You could do much better than that."
And Kat went away looking cross.
