Never regret yesterday. Life is in you today, and you make your tomorrow.

– L. Ron Hubbard

The sun flooded the room with bright light, waking Ella and I up.

"Did we fall asleep on the couch?" Ella yawned.

"We definitely did. The movie is still on and ice cream tub is still open. Just like old times," I chuckled, hoping I didn't go too far.

"I'll go make some breakfast. The restroom is down the hall, and there should be extra toothbrushes in one of the drawers," Ella informed me.

"Alright thanks," I replied.

I went to the restroom and started to freshen up. While washing my face, I realized what I had done yesterday. I would have actually kissed Ella if Valerie didn't interrupt us. I don't know whether kissing Ella would be the right thing to do, but I sure as hell really wanted to do it.

Once I was done getting ready, I joined Ella in the kitchen. Her back was turned away from me, so I slowly walked over to her and gave her a hug from behind, "Hey."

"Hey," She whispered.

"Are those scrambled eggs I see?" I asked.

"Yup, just the way you like your eggs, am I right?" She turned around to face me.

I had a strong urge to kiss her, but I held back. I only kissed her on the cheek and whispered in her ear, "You would know."

Even though she turned back around to check on the eggs, I could tell that she was blushing.

I know that I probably shouldn't be flirting with her right now, especially since we just got on good terms, but I know we both like each other, and I know we're meant to be together, so it's difficult for me to not flirt.

"Are you staying here after breakfast or are you going to go back to where you're staying right now?" Ella questioned while putting our breakfast on the table.

"If you want me to stay, I'll stay. I don't really have anything I need to do until I leave," I answered.

"Oh right, I forgot you were leaving in a couple of days," She commented.

"I can leave later if you want me to," I suggested.

"No, it's okay. I don't want to keep you from anything," She said quietly. I could tell she wanted me to stay. Since I didn't really have anything to do back at college, and there was still a couple of weeks left before classes would start up again, I told her I'd stay for an extra week.

After we finished breakfast, we caught each other up on each of our lives. In between catching each other up, we had a lot of snacks, and we went to Julie's for lunch. Quite frankly, Julie's is the best place to eat.

Once we got back from Julie's, we went to the movies. We literally did everything we haven't done in the past two years with each other.

It was a rapid, entertainment filled day. It was probably one of the best days ever. I was so grateful for the time I spent with Ella.

After we got back to Ella's place, we plopped down on the couch because of how tired we were from all the roaming around.

"So, do you have any other plans?" I laughed quietly.

"Oh gosh, no. I am so exhausted. We fit a whole two years worth of hanging out into today," She exhaled.

"Yea you're absolutely right, but it was a lot of fun," I responded.

"Yes it was. Alright, I'm gonna take a nap. Wake me up when Valeria gets here," She laid down on me.

"How long has she been asleep?" Valerie asked.

"About an hour. She told me to wake her up when you got here, but look at how soundly she's sleeping," I replied.

"Yea, it's fine. You don't need to wake her up," Valerie acknowledged.

I had not talked Valerie that often, so this was a bit awkward.

"So, I'm assuming everything's back to normal between you guys," She commented.

"Well I'm not sure whether it's completely back to normal, but I think she's okay with me being friends with her. The reason I say completely back to normal is because my actions don't justify why I wasn't there for her when she really needed me. Do you know what I mean?" I explained.

"Yea, I guess that makes sense. I'm just pulling bits and pieces together, but do you guys like each other?" Valerie questioned.

"I think we do. You don't have any reason to believe this, but I've been in love with her ever since I met her," I told her.

"Why haven't you done anything about it?" She questioned further.

"I thought I had a good reason not to, but now I don't know," I responded truthfully.

"Ella, how much did you hear?" Valerie asked, noticing that Ella was starting to stir.

"Uhm not much?" Ella responded sheepishly, while getting off of me.

"Ella, how much did you hear?" I asked her the same question.

"I basically heard everything. Were you ever planning on telling me that you loved me? I told you I had loved you before and you said nothing. Nothing at all," She got up and went upstairs.

Great, I messed up again.

"Well, that went well," I said sarcastically.

"It's your fault," Valerie replied.

"I know. Do you think I should I go talk to her right now?" I asked.

"No, I'll go talk to her. It's getting late anyways. You can get going," Valerie responded.

I feel like I should stay, but I just agreed with Valerie because I don't want mess things up even more.

"Okay. Please let her know that I'm extremely sorry. I guess I'll see you later," I left Ella's place just to crash my brother's house.

"Hey, why are you here?" James asked.

"I didn't feel like driving all the way to my place. Your house is much closer to Ella's place." I answered.

"Ella's place? You were at Ella's?" James sounded shocked.

"Oh yea, Valerie, Ella's friend, forced Ella and I to figure everything out between us, and now we're friends," I caught him up.

"So, why didn't you just stay there?" He questioned.

"Because I messed up again. I told Valerie that I've loved Ella ever since I met her, and Ella heard that. The problem is that she told me she loved me when we were talking about why we stopped talking to each other, and I didn't say anything. Yea, I know I'm really stupid," I replied, noticing the change in expression on James' face.

"You actually are dumber than I thought you were," James laughed.

"Whatever, can I get a room to sleep in? I'm beyond exhausted," I asked.

"Yea, take the room next to mine," He answered.

"Alright, good night," I went to the room.

I hope everything will turn out fine tomorrow.
