As Dixie and I ran home, the storm kept increasing. Our clothes and hair we soaked with rain and our shoes we muddy from all of the puddles. We didn't care though because all that we were focusing on was being safe.
We tried to stay away from trees and tried to stay in the middle of the road for we didn't want tree limbs and pieces of buildings falling on us.
"Bye Maggie!" Dixie says, "Please stay safe" she says as she runs into her house. I continue to run home. When I get home, I realize that it might be the last time that I'd ever be in my house again.
    When I go inside, I run up into my room, grab my water proof bag, put some clothes, my phone, some food, and some money in it. Then I went downstairs.
    "Honey, get Champ and Paris and go into the car as fast as you can!" My mom yells at me as I can hear the wind screaming outside.
    I do as my mom tells me and take Champ and Paris into the car. About a minute later, my whole family is in the car. My dad started to drive but it was hard. He had to avoid fallen trees, parts of houses and plants that were on the road.
    After 10 minutes of driving, we finally reach the bay. As my dad drives across the huge bridge, an even bigger wave crashes over it. Part of the wave hits our car.
    "Get as many things as you can and get out!" My mom instructs my brother and I. Andrew grabs Paris and Champ while I grab 2 bags. When I get out of the car, the wind nearly blows me over. But what happens next, terrifies me.
