"Wow this place is alot crappier than I thought it would be."
I let out ragged breath, gagging as I step over a pile of trash. My hand instantly flies to my nose, blocking the horrid smell as I pinch it shut.
"Hey, you!"
I jump for what feels like the millionth time today, turning on my heel to be greeted by a strangely familiar face. My brows raise at the woman, my body unvoluntarily cringing at her wicked smile.
"You aren't from here," she observes, stepping closer to me.
I take a step back, wondering to myself if this lady knows what personal space is or if she just doesn't care that she's invading my personal bubble.
"You're an Auradon girl, aren't you?" She accuses, pointing a boney finger at me.
"No," I lie cooly, shaking my head, "why would you think that?"
The woman squints her eyes at me, letting out an annoying cackle, "You lie, your dress was made in Auradon. We don't have the fabric to make such a thing here."
"Oh this ugly thing?" I look down at my dress, faking disgust as I wave her off. "I stole it."
The woman narrows her eyes, studying my face before nodding. She doesn't say anything else, she simply stares at me for what feels like an eternity before turning and walking away.
"Weirdo." I scoff to myself, turning to continue down the alley only to walk right into another person. "Seriously, people! Personal space, back it up!" I push the person back, snorting when they stumble to the ground.
"Hey, do you know who my mother is?! I'll have you be-headed right here!" The boy rambles, quickly hopping back up to his feet.
"I'm sure you will," I sneer sarcastically, "let me guess, you're Quincy. Son of the Queen of Hearts."
"Is it that obvious?" the boy avoids eye contact with me, staring at his shoes as if they're the most interesting thing in this alley.
"Kinda." I shrug, pointing at his heart covered clothing. "Plus you mentioned cutting my head off, so there is that too."
"True," he nods, his eyes locking with mine before widening. "I know you!"
"Nope, don't know you either." I shake my head, taking a step away from him.
"Yes, I do!" He insists, "you're Princess Beverly."
"No, I'm not!" I lie, "I guess I just have one of those faces." I shrug, taking another step away from the boy but he grabs my arm, roughly pulling me into him. "What did I say about personal space?! Let me go!"
The boy sends a wicked grin my way before pulling me down the alley. I plant my heels into the ground, trying my best to pull myself from his steel grasp.
"Hey!" A familiar voice shouts from the other end of the alley.
"Mal!" I cheer, my smile dropping as I realize I'm not supposed to be here. I frown, my eyes darting around the alley to avoid eye contact with the clearly angry girl.
"M-Mal," Quincy stutters, letting me go instantly. I let out a laugh, clapping my hands at the realization that he's afraid of Mal.
"Wow, you're scared of Mal? What a wimp!" I taunt, gasping when the girl grabs my shoulder to pull me behind her.
"Enough, Beverly."
I frown, crossing my arms over my chest as I watch Mal chase the boy off.
"Are you insane?!"
I squeal, jumping at Mal's outburst.
You really need to stop being so jumpy.
"No, I'm Beverly." I joke, dropping my grin when Mal doesn't laugh along.
"You can't be here," Mal grabs my arm, pulling me out of the alley. "You're going back to Auradon right now!"
"Um, wrong." I pull my arm from her grasp, narrowing my eyes at the blonde. "I'm here for a reason and I'm not leaving until I do what I came here to do."
"And what is it that you're planning, huh? A confrontation with Gaston?" Mal sarcastically shouts, rolling her eyes at my stubborness.
I don't reply, letting out a fake laugh as my eyes fall to my shoes.
"Are you kidding me? Not happening." My friend shakes her head, her eyes slightly widening as she speaks.
"Sorry to burst your little bubble, but you can't tell me what to do. Either you help me or I carry on alone."
Mal sighs, staying quiet for a moment before nodding, "Come on then, you can't keep walking around in those clothes."
I let out an excited squeal, clapping my hands before running to catch up with the blonde.
"For the record, I'm only letting this slide so easily because I don't feel like dealing with your tantrums right now."
-
"Curl Up & Dye, HA!" I shout, staring at the sign.
"It isn't that funny," Mal replies blandly before walking into the shop.
"Yes it is!"
"No, it's really not!"
I ignore her negativity, laughing as I follow her into the shop.
"Mal! Is Evie back too?" A girl shouts excitedly, smiling widely at the blonde. "Oh my gosh! Is that Princess Beverly?!" the girl squeals, running over to where I stand before dragging me into the shop. "You're so much prettier in person! What's Auradon like? Is there actually a whole garden named after you? Can I hug you?" She doesn't wait for an answer, she simply wraps her arms around my waist, nearly squeezing the life out of me. "You smell good."
I chuckle at the girl's rambling, patting her on the back, "you're a little cutie!" I compliment, smiling as she pulls away with a grin planted on her face.
"Oh my gosh, Princess Beverly called me cute!" the girl squeals before turning to Mal. "Wait, you aren't here to introduce me to Auradon royalty, are you?"
Mal simply shakes her head, an annoyed expression plastered on her face.
"My bad! How can I help you guys?"
"Well first off, we need to get rid of Bev's outfit. Got anything?" the blonde begins, "and after that, I need a fixer upper." she sighs, gesturing to her blonde hair.
"You know I do! Follow me, I'll show you the wardrobe and you can pick whatever you want while I do Mal's hair." the girl excitedly grabs my wrist, pulling me through the shop.
"Thanks, uh.."
"Dizzy." the girl grins, "my name is Dizzy."
"Nice name, Dizzy." I nod, my eyes widening and my jaw dropping as we enter a room filled to the brim with clothes and shoes.
"Todo, I don't think we're on the Isle anymore." I mutter in absolute awe of the room.
"What?" Dizzy eyes me but I shake my head.
"Nothing."
"Alright, have fun!"
And with that it's just me and a crazy amount clothes.
-
"Eh? Eh?" I step out into the main room, striking several poses for the girls.
Dizzy squeals, clapping her hands in excitement, "You look so pretty!"
Mal, on the other hand, simply nods, "Lookin' good, Bev."
"I know," I joke, flipping my hair over my shoulder. "that room was my dream!"
"You grew up in a castle." Mal laughs.
"So?" I inquire, taking a seat beside her as her hair dries.
"You grew up in luxury and some smelly room full of clothes excites you?"
"Yeah." I deadpan, "so?"
"You're so weird." the girl shakes her head, frowning when Dizzy scolds her for moving.
"Done!" Dizzy suddenly shouts, spinning Mal's chair around.
Mal stands up, studying herself in the broken mirror, "Hey, there I am."
"Go best friend, that's my best friend, that's my best friend!" I sing, standing up to touch her new purple hair. "Oh my God, I am living for the bangs!"
"Stop touching me," Mal swats my hands away before turning to Dizzy. "Here."
I grin at the girl's smile as she looks at the money, "for me?"
"Duh, you're incredible. If I had any money on me I'd give you more." I reply, my smile not falling until a boy saunters in with his hand outstretched for the money.
"Fork it over, young runt."
I gasp as Dizzy willingly hands over the money without even the smallest fight.
"And the rest of it."
"That's it!" I mutter, groaning quietly as Mal holds me back.
"I'm gonna give you a second to think about what you're about to do."
I roll my eyes, tapping my foot against the floor. "Thought about, gonna do it. Probably gonna regret it. Still gonna do it."
I step away from Mal, taking a stand infront of Dizzy as she opens the cash register, "Yeah, I don't think so, young runt."
"And who might you be?" The boy eyes me causing my face to burn, my cheeks definitely about 50 shades of pink.
Dammit, he's attractive up close.
"It doesn't matter who I might be. I might be a villain, I might be a princess, you might be gorgeous." I quickly cover my mouth, blushing even harder as he chuckles. "I might be your worst nightmare, guess we'll never know because I gotta go before I embarrass myself anymore."
I turn back to Mal, making a face as I mouth the words 'kill me' to my friend. "I regret it. I knew I would, why'd you let me do that?" I whine only for her to hear.
"Still running errands for Uma? Or do you get to keep what you steal?" Mal smuggly questions, ignoring me as a smirk plants itself on her lips as she speaks to the retreating boy.
"Well, well, well, What a nice suprise." the boy smoothly speaks, his accent making me unvoluntarily weak.
"Hi, Harry."
Harry. Harry. You know that name. Think, think.
"Just wait until Uma hears you're back," the boy, who I now identify as Harry, approaches Mal and I. "She's never gonna give you back your old territory."
I snort, "yeah, cause Mal's gonna ask for it back." I roll my eyes, shooting the boy a sarcastic smile. "And what's with the hook, are you seriously that extra- hook. Harry Hook! Captain Hook's kid! Oh, I gotchu." I nod, ignoring the dirty look Mal sends me the whole time I speak.
"You're cute." the boy eyes me, looking me up and down, "you aren't from here, are you?"
"What gave it away?" I tilt my head to the side, "my good looks or the fact that you don't scare me?"
Harry laughs, turning to Mal, "Where'd you find this one, eh?"
"I didn't find her, she found me. Unfortunately."
"Hey!" I shout, slightly offended. "She loves me."
"Shut up, Beverl-" Mal stops herself, her eyes widening as she realizes her mistake.
"Beverly, aye? Princess Beverly Anne of Auradon. I thought you looked familiar. Oh, Uma is gonna love this." Harry runs his hook through my hair, only pausing when Mal pulls it away. She sticks her gum to the tip causing me to grimace.
"Uma isn't going to find out about Beverly."
"Sure she won't," the brunette sarcastically bows, "good day, lady royal. And you too, Mal."
I mock curtsey, "good day, man pirate."
He laughs before turning on his heel smoothly and exiting the shop.
"Well," I sigh, "he was cute."
Author's Note:
Wooooo
THEY MET , THEY MET
IT HAPPENED
Real quick, I'm probably gonna end up saying this every chapter, but this isn't editted very well. Please ignore grammer and spelling errors, it's summer so I don't even know what grammer is.
Thoughts so far? I feel like it's slightly rushed but it follows D2's timeline pretty well so idk what else to do.
Hope you enjoyed! See you Monday!
(I might update over the weekend depending on how I'm feeling (; )
