"Hi, you're Bella Swan, right?" I ask the second Bella closes her locker. The human practically leaps to the kitchen causing my smirk to deepen ever so slightly.

"Uh, yeah," Bella nods pressing her lips together. I found her struggle to maintain eye contact amusing. I enjoyed how much I intimidated the human.

"Is this your jacket?" I ask with complete interest. I twirl her drawstring between my fingers. "It's looks very... comfortable" I say slowly lowering my hand.

"Thanks," Bella mutters walking around me. I stay still for a second before spinning on my heels. Taking long strides I easily catch up with her. She glances up at me.

"So, I heard you and Edward are biology partners," I say enthusiastically. Bella, clearly sensing something is off, gives me a suspicious look. "He just wanted me to let you know he'll be back soon. We had a family emergency up in Alaska that he had to go to with our mother, Esme" I completely lie.

"Oh, ok" Bella mutters.

"But when he comes back," I say stopping the two of us. She tenses slightly as I brush my finger knuckles against her cheek. "You're going to keep your distance and remember he's mine," I tell her.

"Got it," Bella nods stepping back. My eyebrows frown slightly as my hand drops back to my side. I stand there dumbfounded as Bella scurries away from me.

"Ok, how is that possible?" Rosalie asks appearing by my side. The both of us watch Bella walk down the hall and turn the corner.

"I'm not sure," I whisper. "I don't like this, Rose" My sister grabs my hand and gives it a comforting squeeze.

"Come on, let's get to class," Rosalie sighs pulling me down a different hallway. I walk beside her still feeling complexed on how that human didn't fall under my spell.

The moment school is over, I climb into my car and go home. While speeding down the road I pick up my phone wanting to indirectly check up on Edward. The phone only rings twice before they answer.

"You're only now calling us to let us in on what's going on?" Kate scoffs through the phone. I smirk offering my apologies as she calls for Tanya and Irina.

"What is going on? Edward isn't spilling shit," Irina says joining the call. I assume Kate put it on speaker.

"How is he doing?" I ask firstly. There's hesitance in their answer which makes me nervous.

"He's..." Kate began but her voice faded.

"Distracted" Tanya finishes. I sigh gripping the wheel.

"What's going on, babe?" Kate asks.

"There's a new human in town," I tell them. None of them needed to talk for me to pick up on their confusions. "She's... interesting,"

"How so?" Irina asks slowly.

"Edward can't read her mind and I can't control her," I tell them.

"She's immune to your voice?" Tanya asks.

"And my touch," I add. "She's also very appetizing. More so than other humans but she affects Edward the most,"

"And not Jasper?" Tanya asks knowing Jasper had the most difficulties with bloodlust.

"Well, everyone affects Jasper but not like this human does to Edward," I tell them.

"And he's just attracted to her blood, right?" Irina asks.

"I hope," I mutter. "I think Edward is drawn to her because she's not an open book like everyone else. He has to work to understand her but I don't know why he has to understand her," I grumble. "I get the appeal, I get the mystery, but-"

"But he's married," Kate states strongly. "So what she's mysterious, who cares? You're his wife and he should only be focused on you. You shouldn't have to worry about this girl, a human nonetheless"

"I just hope that his time with you guys is helping clear his mind," I tell them. "He's going to come back, he's going to be my Edward and this last week will disappear"

"Oh, he's going to be your Edward, don't worry about that," Kate smirks causing me to grin as well. "If he knows what's good for him," She adds.

"Enough about this human," Irina steps in. "When are you coming to visit?"

"When we heard Edward was coming, I thought you were going to come with him," Kate adds.

"I wanted too, I miss Alaska so much," I tell them. "But I was so annoyed with Edward I honestly wanted to be away from him for a little bit. I also wanted to try and ward Bella away but I guess I'm just going to have to use intimidation tactics"

"I'm sure you and Rose will be able to do just that," Tanya teases lightly.

"If you need any help-" Kate begins.

"Just let us know," Irina finishes.

"Don't worry, if I need reinforcements, I know exactly who to call," I say pulling into the driveway. "I love you ladies but I'm home,"

"Oh, really? I don't see you in our driveway" Irina jokes. I smile and let out a small laugh.

"I promise I'll visit!" I tell them.

"If you don't, we know where you live" Kate says sternly.

"You may be a Cullen but you were a Denali first," Tanya reminds me.

"I know," I say softly. "You'll always be my family and I will see you soon, I swear to it"

"Good" They say in unison.

"Give Edward my love,"

"I'll take care of that," Kate says with a hint of mischievousness. I smile and release a small laugh. I say my final goodbyes before hanging up. I climb out of my car around the same time my adoptive siblings pull in.

It wasn't until about three days later did Edward finally return. I was sitting in our room reading a book. I didn't notice him at first but when I looked up I saw him leaning against the doorway. I instantly smile and set the book aside.

"Finally," I whisper speeding into his arms. My legs wrap and lock around his waist. He holds me close to him while locking our lips together. He steps into the room and kicks the door shut. "I missed you," I whisper against his lips.

My hands caress the sides of his face with a gentle smile on my lips. I brush our noses together savoring the feeling of being in his arms. He gazes into my eyes with a hint of longingness.

"I love you," He whispers to me. My smile widens even more. Instead of verbally responding I reconnect our lips. I cling to him tightly as he carries us to our bed, obviously not used for sleeping.

My back is laid on the comforter gently with Edward hovering over me. My hands scramble to rid him of his shirt along with my own. Overpowering him, I straddle his waist. I smirk down while slowly taking off my bra.

My confidence grows as his eyes darken. He sits up and engulfs me in his arms. My nails dig into the back of his neck and drag to his front going down his chest. He growls kissing me in a more rushed manner. I match his pace and push him back against the bed.

I grind my hips into his enjoying how his finger grip my sides. My senses follow his hands as they caress my stomach and make their way to the top of my trousers. I grin grinding into his hand.

"What're you waiting for?" I whisper into his ear. "I'm all yours," He turns his head towards mine and kisses my lips lightly. With a simple kiss the mood changed to something slower and more passionate.

Rolling me onto my back he hovers over me again. I smile caressing his cheek. I pull him back to me tangling our legs together. For a moment, neither of us tried to advance on the other. We simply just wanted to be together in the moment.

His hands caress my body with a tenderness that drew me in even more. I lift my hips as he pulls my pants and undergarments off my body tossing them to the floor. My eyes soak in his body. I watch his muscles move as he undresses himself before slowly looking up to his face.

I lean up and grab his shoulders. In a flash his back is against the bed and I'm straddling his waist once again. I felt this need to prove myself to him. I wanted to remind him how good I could make him feel, how happy I can make him.

Slowly, I sink down on him. I moan throwing my head back. My moans grow as I rotate my hips into his. His sits back up and twists us back over. His hands pin me to the bed.

I capture his lips with mine as he thrusts into me. I smile into the kiss as I feel his fingers intertwine with my own. I detach my lips from his and kiss down his neck, nipping at his marble skin.

"I love you," I whisper to him. "I love you so much," I kiss under his ear. I grip his hands tightly as I find my release a few moments later. Edward rests his body on top of mine and I hold onto him tightly. "How was your visit with my sisters, Carmen and Eleazar?" I ask running my fingers through his hair.

Edward groans causing me to smile widely. His head nuzzles into my neck, his lips gently kissing my skin. I sigh contently while rubbing his back slowly.

Without giving me a verbal answer, he withdraws. I frown my eyebrows slightly as I watch him stand up and pull some clothes on. I sit up not bothering to cover my chest.

"So, I guess there's no round two?" I tease with a small smile. Edward doesn't respond as he buttons up his shirt. "Baby?" I ask standing up. "What's on your mind? Is something wrong?" Edward doesn't acknowledge me until I gently turn his head towards me. "Talk to me," I whisper rubbing his chest.

"I'm fine," He reassures me. I give him a look knowing he was lying. He kisses my lips lightly. "I'm going for a hunt before school tomorrow," He says before practically racing out of the room.

Within a couple of seconds my body is re-clothed and I find myself marching to Rosalie's room. It was obvious that Rosalie and Emmett had just finished with activities similar to Edward and I.

"No," Emmett groaned as I barged into the room. "Oh, come on" He whines knowing sexy time was over.

Ever since Rosalie joined the family, we have been very good friends. She's interrupted Edward and I just as much as I have interrupted her and Emmett. Sisters before misters, right?

"Edward trouble?" Rosalie asks and I nod with a small pout. Rosalie turns her head and gives Emmett a look. Emmett pouts but Rosalie doesn't cave.

"Fine," He grumbles sitting up. "Look away or you're going to get more than you bargained for," Emmett says climbing out of the bed. I roll my eyes with a small smile but turns my back to him. "Want me to kick his ass?" Emmett whispers coming up beside me.

"I can handle him, don't worry" I promise before giving him a friendly kiss on the cheek. "Thank you, though" Emmett smiles sending me a wink before walking out of the room. I turn towards Rosalie, who's not dressed as well.

"What did the son of a bitch do now?" Rosalie asks sitting in one of her chairs.

"He comes into my room and we go to get intimate but as we go on I feel like one minute he's with me and the next he's stuck in his head," I tell her. "Then when it's over I try to talk to him but he doesn't respond, he hardly listens. He just gets up, gets dressed and goes hunting."

"What is up with him?" Rosalie groans rolling his eyes. "He spent a week in Alaska, his head should be cleared out by now"

"I think we both know where his head is," I mutter crossing my arms.

"No," Rosalie whispers shaking her head. "You don't think he's still thinking about that bitch do you?" I shrug a bit.

"It's hard not to think that," I mutter.

"He is being such an idiot" Rosalie scoffs shaking her head. "You're his wife," She stresses and I just nod. "You're so much prettier than she is, you have personality. She's a plain billboard that can barely walk on her two feet. You're the obvious choice and there shouldn't even be a choice!"

"If you're looking for someone to disagree with you, go talk to Alice" I tell her. Rosalie raises an eyebrow.

"You talked to Alice about this? What did she say?" She asks readjusting in the seat.

"Well, I didn't actually talk about it," I mumble glancing towards her. "But you know how close Alice and Edward are. Beside, Alice saw something in her vision but she has yet to tell anybody but Edward. Whatever she saw, it has to do with him and Bella"

"Hopefully it's Edward losing his shit and ripping her throat out and that's why he left," Rosalie says hopefully.

"That's best case scenario" I smile towards her. "I don't know what's going to happen but I don't think I'm the one with the happily ever after,"

"Nillie" Rosalie sighs reaching for my hand. I grab hers and give it a tight squeeze. "How about we leave our husbands and marry each other?" Rosalie asks. I begin to smile while she begins to smirk. "I don't know if you've ever noticed," She whispers seductively. "But you're the true love of my life. I'd choose you over Emmett any day," She winks.

"You will always have my heart, Rosalie Hale" I whisper kissing her hand before giving her a wink. The two of us grin before we fall into fits of laughter.
