Karma has a fun day at the zoo with quite a few surprise visitors

Oneiro was enraged and did little to hide the fact from anyone. He had been very close to wiping out that insect that had dared to upset his child but he didn't want to waste any time that could be spent on Karma instead. He was sure Nova would sort it out either way.

Speaking of, the other had decided to visit for a bit, of course without alerting anyone else to their presence. He might get along with Sol but he felt no need to share all of his secrets~.

He silently watched as Nova sat with Karma, quietly listening to all they had done, even though he knew Nova had been watching the whole time.

It had been three days since the incident with that child and he had refused to come out of the bedroom in all that time. He had enough food in his inventory and he was not restricted magically like the rest. Sol had even been so kind to 'gently' discourage any visitors.

Just hearing Sans's voice had made him very close to losing control. Oneiro knew the other didn't want them interacting with others, so why did they think it wise to allow a human to come into their space? Especially knowing that not all variants got along with humans.

It really did seem that all Sans were similar, despite the various multiverses. He could never stand them and their moralistic views, even though they would do much worse in the RESETS. He preferred Dreams over them, for at least he knew how their weird upbringing shaped them to what they became.

" I have planned a fun day for you, Godling. You even have some... visitors who really wanted to see you "

Oneiro looked up and immediately knew what they were talking about. He hadn't been against the others suggestion and even thought it was a good idea. Karma needed a break, before they tackled the issue they were having with their Karmic/Judge magic. He had been proud at how special they were to get that but was distressed at the issues it was causing.

He was thankful for Hearts suggestion for calming Karma but had to use the technique far too often for his liking these past few days.

"..it's not Frisk is it?"

"No, little crow. The visitors are waiting at the park so you will see them soon~"

He could tell they weren't that reassured but thankfully Nova picking them up and letting them play with their summoned strings, helped to relax them. They sadly couldn't leave the multiverse, due to how fast it went but bringing others here was an easy task.

Now that they were 'allowed' to go out by Sans, there would be no issues in leaving~.

Creating a portal big enough for the three of them he stepped through, spotting the two monsters standing in the shade. It felt years since he had last seen them and he smirked at how their emotions spiked, when Karma was put down. He stepped closer to Karma and made sure to point out the two monsters.

Karma was unsure who they would be visiting, as he had met many monsters in his travels. He shifted in discomfort and fiddled with his beads, wanting to go back and hide in the room or even visit his brother's shared place. He would definitely make sure to do so later but went back to looking at Oneiro in suspicion.

He didn't like that they were outside, where anything could cause his magic to lash out. He hated that he had lost control and feared he would hurt someone by accident.

He paused when he recognised the two SOULS that were close by and hesitantly stepped closer, looking at Nova and Oneiro for support.

" Go on, Godling. It's safe "

He could hear some strain in their voice but was distracted when a different glitchy voice called out.

" Karma.. "

"Wow. Have you grown since we last saw you? You look much bigger!"

He chirped in confusion, unsure how monsters from his birth multiverse could even be here and why they would want to be. He knew their bonds had snapped ages ago, surely that meant they couldn't like him anymore...right?

" Don't be an idiot, Ink"

"Don't be mean, Error! Karma. Tell Error to be nicer to me!"

" Don't bring them into it, you squid for brains! "

"....Why?"

"Hmm? What's wrong, Karma? Do you need some magic? You are looking a bit pale.."

"Why are you both here? I left. Aren't you angry?"

Karma shivered as they stared at him and focused on Inks eye shapes for help, on figuring out what they were feeling. It didn't help that he still felt so tired, no matter how much he had been sleeping lately, making thoughts much harder to formulate.

"Goth. Come here"

He startled at his birth name but slowly came over to Ink, chirping when he was picked up. He relaxed into the hold of the monster, who had been more of a caregiver then Reaper ever was.

"We love you, Goth. I knew you were getting overwhelmed with everyone trying to help but it was just too much, wasn't it? I gave you full access to the Doodle Sphere, so you could get away"

" We hid your tracks and made sure the new place would be a fresh start for you, no matter what you chose. You can't get rid of us so easily, Gothy "

"B-But i don't have bonds with you anymore"

"That's fine! It was never a one time offer, Goth and even without it we still care"

" You should have seen how much effort it took to keep Palette away. I'm pretty sure Dream had to restrain them at one point "

Karma felt strange hearing how his birth multiverse still cared for him. He leaned into Ink, picking at their scarf and looking at all the stains on it.

He tapped their paint vials in thought, surprised he didn't feel wary at seeing them. He might never have been fully open to them but he had still felt safe enough to bond with them and that had hardly changed even now.

"No more sad talk. It's time for the surprise~"

Karma perked up but frowned when Nova was nowhere to be seen.

"He was feeling a tad..under the weather but will start visiting daily~"

He supposed that was fair and giggled, when Error grabbed him with their strings from Inks grip.

"Hey! I was cuddling with them!"

" Tough. It's my turn now "

Oneiro watched the interaction, thrilled at how happy Karma was. They needed a peaceful day and having monsters he could trust to keep them safe also helped him to relax too.

He still remembered these two watching in glee, as he burned down Reapertale. Ideal monsters to keep around his child~.

He had made Nova head back, as he didn't want Karma to notice the predatory way they had been looking at Ink. It could be such a pain having to deal with them but the benefits so far outweighed the negatives. Lately his child had also been asking about why Pale wasn't here and it was getting harder to distract them from the subject.

He did not have many issues with Pale but it was their required 'diet' that added many stresses to any plans he had. Novas' ill hidden disdain for another Destroyer near 'their Godling' didn't help matters. He was bewildered at how he had become the reasonable one out of the lot and prayed Karma didn't attract even more which he sadly knew was a fool's wish.

If only he was the only one to have parental bond with Karma, this would have been so much easier. His smirk formed again when Ink spoke up, making him focus on the present for now.

"Are you looking forward to the Zoo, Karma?"

"Zoo?"

"Yes. This multiverse has a rather large one where the whole AU is one~"

He was amused at Karma's wings flapping in excitement, with them accidently smacking Ink in the face, causing Error to cackle.

He had made sure to show pictures of what changes Karma had undergone to these two, not wanting them to accidentally upset Karma with their staring.

He was glad he had as he had witnessed Ink being captivated by the wings his child had gained for over ten minutes. Creators could be so strange~.

Oneiro had no idea what this AU was called and he didn't care. He was instead fully focused on Karma's awe on their surroundings and their chatter on all the animals they wanted to see.

" Calm down. We have time to see everything "

"That's right! Let's sprint everywhere!"

" Ink. Don't you dar- "

"Too late! Let's go, Karma. They are being way too slow. Perhaps old age is catching up to them"

" YOU ARE OLDER, YOU IDIOT!"

Oneiro chuckled at the scene but glared at anyone who stared too long. Karma was having fun and he was very pleased he hadn't needed to calm them yet. Oneiro refused to let strangers ruin this.

He did get the unexpected surprise of meeting Karmas 'Big brother' though. They had been watching the bears, when suddenly Karma lit up and started to drag him towards the park. He briefly alerted Ink and Error to what was going on and let Karma lead the way.

Just as they entered the park he was soon faced with a monster that looked like a babybones at first glance but their magic was telling a rather different story.

He stilled in front of the rainbow winged being and even though he was taller, he felt like they were towering over him with their gaze alone.

"Brother! I didn't know you would be visiting"

"I just wanted to see you, little nebula. Who is this with you?"

Oneiro had a feeling the other knew very well who he was and going by their feelings, they were not impressed.

"This is Oneiro! He is my main caretaker. Oneiro, this is Traveller, my big brother"

Oneiro refused to move his gaze from the other, feeling his magic spark, at the warning he could see in the other's gaze.

"Why don't you go and grab a treat, Karma? I need a little..chat with your caretaker here"

Oneiro wanted to bristle at them sending his child away but felt a shiver run down his spine, at the sharp edge to their smile. Why were his instincts warning him about this being?

As soon as Karma was out of sight, he felt their magic curl around them both, blocking the sounds from their area.

"I have watched you for a long time, Dream. While I am happy you are giving Karma care, it just isn't good enough. You are going to listen to everything i have to say or there will be consequences"

Oneiro was frozen on the spot, as he was given the most thorough lecture on child care he had ever heard. He also had to listen to everything he had done wrong, in all the time he had Karma, making him shiver at just how much they knew.

He wanted to interrupt at points but the look in their eye sockets, just daring him to try, made him stay silent. This was not a monster he wanted to cross and he was baffled how his child kept attracting these sorts of beings.

He slightly feared who they would bump into next at this rate and was a tad annoyed that he was the only one having to deal with this...maybe he could 'kindly share' this experience he had with others? Hmm, that is a thought.

The magic surrounding them dropped and he realised Karma had come back, holding an obscene amount of chocolate...he was never going to be able to take that away from them was he?

He watched as Traveller switched to a much softer stance and they easily picked up Karma, clearly showing this was a common practice.

"That was super quick, little nebula. Did you have fun?"

"Yeah! I even found a place that has ten different types of chocolate!"

"Really? Tell me more"

Oneiro lowered his wings, not realising how stiff he had been holding them and analysed the interaction between the two. He was slightly annoyed that he would be unable to do anything about this 'brother' but he was glad that his child enjoyed the company of the other at least.

"That's sounds wonderful but i sadly need to go now"

Oneiro hid his relief and happily accepted Karma back into his arms. He was unsure how much more his nerves could take being near this being.

"Bye, little brother. Have fun at the zoo"

"Bye!"

Oneiro relaxed when they left and headed back to where he left the others.

"Your brother is...interesting, little crow"

"I know. Isn't he great?"

...that was one word for it. Terrifying was another excellent choice.

"Yes... great "

Oneiro nuzzled his child's skull in fond amusement, at how clueless they were about the truth. Hopefully he won't meet 'brother' again anytime soon.

The rest of the day went much better in Oneiros opinion, with Karma managing to just stay awake before he insisted they have a nap.

"But i'm not ti—red"

"I would be more convinced if you didn't yawn while saying that, little crow~"

"..i don't want to nap!"

Oneiro was a tad confused by this denial but before he could insist, they quietly mumbled.

"I don't want to miss being with Ink or Error.."

He shared a glance between the other two before heading off to a quiet spot, carrying a rather tired Karma along. He sat on the grass, with the other adults sitting opposite with a small gap between them. Error pulled Karma towards them to lay in between them, while Ink started humming to them.

It didn't take long for them to fall asleep and he was soon stared at by the other two.

" We might not have met for long but we aren't idiots. Why did you bring us here? "

"Dont lie, Oneiro. While taking us to see Karma was a surprise, that isn't what you only wanted"

Oneiro knew there was a reason he kept in contact with these two. Leaning closer he explained the many problems Karma had been having and what they had been through.

"Nova and I have no clue how to solve this but I was hoping you both might? If you also wouldn't mind donating more magic to help feed them, as well? They never seem to have enough lately~"

"I see. I had hoped sending them away would have prevented this. They must be leaking a lot of magic due to their cracked SOUL"

Oneiro politely ignored how a tree was instantly destroyed by Errors magic, in their rage, as well as Inks bullseye filled sockets.

" Stupid Reaper. I should have dusted him when Goth was born "

"Have you looked at their SOUL yet?"

Oneiro froze at Ink's question but looked at Karma in distress.

"I haven't. Nova said their Code is glitching too much to read it clearly. I'm worried how damaged it truly is and if they will even survive it being taken out"

" They did inherit the majority of their Code from me and you know how fragmented my SOUL is...are they in pain? "

Oneiro dearly wanted to lie but knew it was pointless.

"It's always there in their emotions. I'm worried if they even notice it anymore or have just gotten used to it"

Before the conversation could continue Karma started grumbling and glared at Ink.

"What wrong, Kar- oof"

Oneiro snorted as Karma lay on top of Ink, looking rather pleased with themselves, before demanding to be fed. At least their appetite was still there~.

The rest of the day was much more relaxed and they even grabbed some ice-cream on the way out, after seeing Karma stare at the three types of chocolate scoop in greed.

Oneiro was impressed how they ate it without being sick but felt rather disgusted at the quantity Error had gotten.

" What? Who do you think they got it from? "

Oneiro watched as Karma started wobbling more, as they walked and knew it was time to call it a day. He picked them up, amused at their whining, insisting that they could walk fine.

"It's getting late, little raven. Say goodbye~"

"Bye bye. Visit again?"

" Of course we will. You are stuck with us, Karma...sadly Ink as well "

"Erroooor. Why don't you love me?!"

" Get off you idiot! Give that affection to your mate, Dream. I certainly don't want it "

"I'm sure Dream would be happy to share-"

" Don't even joke about that! I'm getting nightmares already "

"So cruel! I'm not that bad"

" You're right. You are so much worse. How Dream can stand you is a mystery. I should give my condolences to them when we get back "

"Error!"

Oneiro nodded to the monsters, deciding to take his time to head back with Karma.

"I had fun today"

"I'm glad~"

"I really liked seeing the tigers. They were so cool"

Oneiro listened as the whole day was retold by a sleepy babybones, who was soon slurring all their words. He was impressed they lasted this long. They must be getting better he was terrified it was just getting worse.

"I love you, dad.."

Oneiro shuddered at the words, shocked but happy they had been said, even though Karma had fallen asleep straight after.

"I love you too, Karma"

He would make sure that Karma survived and lived happily as possible, for the rest of their days. Any who got in the way of this would be swiftly dealt with~.

*Oneiro lifting up a picture of a Creator, which Nova instantly destroys*

Nova: That doesn't count! Everyone knows that trash should be dealt with!
