Chapter 80- (FGOC Multiverse)

Heart was enjoying babysitting. It's a shame that Frisk came along.

FGOC Multiverse

Heart was thrilled at how his days were going. While he still enjoyed the solitude with Ink, he now had a few hours everyday to spend time with Karma. He had no idea where the two winged Dreams went, as he was pretty sure Sans had restricted the more 'dangerous' monsters from leaving. Seeing as he was also banned he took it to mean those who didn't fit his world view.

He hadn't seen Sans' brother at all but he did hear a rather heated argument between them, before Sans forced the other to live somewhere else. Something about 'protecting them from bad influences'. It was wise to just ignore Sans and he made sure to never ask where the other two went, unsure if he would like the answer.

It had been a week since that first babysitting session and he continued to enjoy every time they were dropped off with him after. It had taken a few days but even Ink had started joining him, happily watching over Karma and quietly suggesting what to make.

Play-doh was a massive hit but he was bewildered at how much Ink had. Just what weird items did the other keep in their inventory?

"Are you hungry, Karma? One of us can feed you magic before we go?~"

"I'm good, Oneiro"

"If you are sure. Don't forget that Goth is here and has no issue with feeding you~"

"Ok. Have fun"

"We will~"

Heart cooed at the domestic interaction before taking them to what had become their living room. He wasn't offended that he hadn't been asked to feed them with his magic, as he knew they needed a larger quantity then he could provide. Maybe Ink could but neither had suggested it and Karma had looked worryingly pale, when they overheard him ask Oneiro about it.

The three of them were happily doing their own things, when they heard the slamming of the front door and a loud voice echo.

"Sans! Sans! Mom said I could over as long as you allowed it. Can I stay? Who is staying? Can I meet them?"

Heart grimaced at the voice and he could see Ink tense. He knew that Sans would allow it as they were a massive push over when it came to Toriel. He had never liked most of the fallen children from other AU's he had met and Frisk was no exception. They were so loud and demanding, but he supposed that was some of the reasons they even survived the Underground.

Thankfully his AU had never had the 'luck' to experience some of the worst things a human could do but just hearing about the Genocide routes made him shiver in fear. He knew humans could be dangerous but it was even more terrifying hearing that a child could be capable of so much violence.

The door to the room they were in slammed open and he glared as the human child came in.

"Hey! My name is Frisk! What's yours? What are you doing? Fancy exploring the place?"

Heart moved between the two and eventually managed to push the human out the room. When he turned back to Karma he could see how wide their eyelight had gotten and the slight shaking of their form.

He silently cursed that neither of the winged Dreams were back yet and glancing at the clock realised it would be a good few hours still.

"Hey sweetheart. She is gone, it's fine. Why don't you show Ink the drawing you were doing? I am sure he would love to see it"

He gently lifted Karma to sit beside Ink, glad Ink was still here with him. He was unsure if he would have been able to deal with this by himself.

Heart scowled at hearing Frisks voice ring out yet again, feeling a headache build up in annoyance.

"Sans? Will you introduce me to some others?"

Heart was displeased Frisk would be staying but hoped that after that clear dismissal they would not come back.

Sadly that didn't happen and he kept having to fend Frisk off the next hours, using other monsters in the house as a distraction. He was unsure if Frisk was oblivious or truly uncaring for Karma's discomfort but either way he was unhappy. He could easily tell it was stressing Karma, as they constantly fiddled with their scarf and ripping random threads off of it. He had even seen Ink grab their hand before they had gone for their feathers.

He was tempted to grab Goth but felt slightly guilty at thought of subjecting the relatively young monster to the human.

It came to a breaking point when they snuck into the living room, just as he had been grabbing some snacks. He could see Ink giving a truly fearsome glare at the human but he was more appalled by what he saw about to happen.

"Your wings are so cool! Can I touch them? They look so soft"

They didn't even wait for a reply before touching both of Karma's wings and ruffling their feathers. Before he could even pull them off a dark pressure suffused the room.

......... You feel your sins crawling on your backYou feel your sins crawling on your backYou feel your sins crawling on your backYou feel your sins crawling on your backYou feel your sins crawling on your backYou feel your sins crawling on your back ......

Heart heaved a breath when the pressure left, feeling his eyelights close to extinguishing from the magical pressure. Looking up from where he had fallen, he saw Frisk cowering in the corner with a cut on their face and multiple yellow bones very close to stabbing them.

One of the winged Dreams was towering over them and snarling, whispering words he was too far to hear but from the child's expression, would rather not.

Looking away he saw Karma being held by the other winged Dream and gently rocked.

"It's ok, little raven. I'm here. There is no need to panic. We can have a nice cuddle with some hot chocolate. How does that sound?~"

"You know something, Onioro? That probably tired, little aster out and i know that human SOULS have a lot of energy~"

That was the point Heart pushed himself up, as he did not want to deal with Sans' complaining about this later. He knew the other would find some way to blame him and as the other was sadly the one proving the housing, he would need to intervene. He gave a brief look of worry to Ink, who was lying way too still for his liking but he knew they had bigger issues.

When he heard Karma whine and start to hiccup, he wobbly made his way over. He temporarily stopped when the blazing eyelights of both enraged winged monsters landed on him but he soldiered on. He was glad he did when he realised the babybones was still expelling more Judge magic then he was sure was safe for them.

"You need to circle your magic around them and slowly infuse it in their body. Then you use it to help guide their magic"

"Wha-"

"They are letting out too much magic, Oneiro. This process will help calm their magic and realise that there is no danger nearby"

Heart could see the suspicion but the other thankfully did what he said and he calmly instructed them to next gently tug Karmas magic, to flow much slower in their body. He was unsurprised they were clueless about this but it had been very common in his AU, especially after the...forced magical changes they all underwent.

A lot of monsters didn't survive the process and died from stress, due to their magic lashing out in confusion. This technique was a calming exercise, that was very common to occur between family members and one he was very familiar with.

He relaxed when Karma seemed to fully focus on their surroundings, before looking at him and chirping in confusion.

"It's ok sweetheart. Your parents are right here. They are holding you so you can rest now"

Heart was pretty sure both winged monsters thought themselves as this and it seemed the assurance helped Karma relax, as they soon fell asleep.

His relief soon left when the other two intensely stared at him.

"What happened, Heart? We want to hear everything~"

-

"They can't be that dangerous. Dream is a wimp and i doubt its different for any of his variants"

Wine looked at Red in disbelief, at the pure stupidity they were spewing.

"You are wrong, as usual. Do you even use your mind? It hardly seems like it"

"Look Wine. You might be a Fell but you are also a Swap and Blue is just as pathetic as the rest of the lot"

Wine merely stared at Red, unwillingly impressed at how such stupidity had survived for so long. He knew Red had been punched by Heart not so long ago, for their rather vulgar comments and for trying to haze the babybones.

He looked away in disgust, unwilling to try and educate the waste of space. He had no time or patience to put such a stupid dog in their place. He only cared for his brother in this place, that they had been unwillingly dragged to.

He had known Sol was a dangerous monster as soon as he had first spotted them, unlike the rest of these idiots. Their walk alone was one of a top predator who had nothing to fear and he got to see how much worse it got when Oneiro came.

Having a babybones with them had instantly set him on edge and he had made sure to tread carefully around them both. He barely even looked at the child, knowing that could easily set either of them off. The others' protective instincts were truly a fearsome thing to behold.

He was not a moron like the majority of the inhabitants here. Especially Dream who kept wanting to separate the child from their caretaker, due to how 'unsuited' the other apparently was for child care. He should probably prepare something to put their dust in at this rate, if Oneiro would even leave that much.

When the magic of two possessive monsters suffused the house Wine smirked at seeing Red pale. He pushed past them and peeked into the room that the babybones mostly went to. He easily spotted a very tired babybones and a rather pale human cowering in the corner, who he was surprised was still alive.

Which idiot had let them in?

Wine huffed as Sans pushed past him to get to the human and was unsurpised it was this one. The other was truly spineless which just wouldn't do, as they had made themself the 'leader' of this residence.

He could sympathise with why Sans had allowed it, as the human child's power could be truly fearsome but the way the two winged Dreams were looking at them, he doubted they would survive if they ever visited again...he wasn't even sure if Sans would live to see the end of the day at this rate.

Wine was glad he had kept out of this mess and was sure this could have been much worse, if the two hadn't gone out for several hours everyday.

Sans had early on tried to order him to follow them but he had refused. Wherever they went helped them to relax, as they came back much less tense than when they left. He was not getting in the way of something that helped to leash their violence.

If Sans wanted to know so badly they could do it themselves! They were far too lazy for his tastes.

Stepping away he left the scene, wanting to check in on his brother, knowing he would have to be even more careful the next few days.

Wine had been very protective when his brother was young and he doubted that Oneiro and Sol were not far worse than him, especially with such a fragile babybones.

*Sol and Oneiro looking close to murdering Frisk*

Heart: Stop! Don't do this...they will dirty the floor!

Frisk: 😨That's the only reason to keep me alive?!
-
*Red mocking the SwapDreams*

Wine: Fascinating. I never knew stupidity could reach this level
