Chapter 59- (Momma CQ Multiverse)
Karma is sent back to Asy. Nova meets Oneiro and a plan is hatched

Momma CQ Multiverse
Time passed and Oneiro finally felt comfortable in taking Karma back to that universe. He had chosen the perfect gift to get them and had used that SwapDreams circlet as a base for his idea. He had decided he needed to kill his variant, as they had spotted his child by accident and he hadn't liked the gleam that had entered their eyelights.
Thankfully the circlet stayed behind after their 'tragic' demise, as he had fed his magic, to replace the others' magic. Looking over their child he knew they wouldn't like anything too bulky and decided to simply shrink the circlet, making it perfect to be put on their ankle. He could sense their wariness at the item but thanks to his magic the item weighed nothing and even when he put it on them, it shouldn't feel like it was even there.
Karmas chirps of delight at how it felt it on and the gold shimmer it had, won them over. His child was so cute. Maybe he should call them his little magpie instead~.
He would have loved to keep them with him forever but he has a good feeling about this place and where it would lead his child. He would let his child explore more as they were both immortal, so there was no time limit. The best thing that had happened after the many months with Karma, was the parental bond he had formed with them. He hadn't even been trying when it had just snapped into place.
This would hopefully keep others of his type away...or encourage them even more. It was a 50-50 either way as he acknowledged, he himself was a hard being to predict. A surprising change was how he felt different when thinking about his darling~. He no longer felt as desperate to be near them or stalk them . Thinking about it longer he preferred directing his affection to Karma, who allowed it willingly, without even being forced!
The more serious reason for letting Karma go was needing to find someone to fix the issue he could sense in Karma. Their journey had led them to many powerful figures, so perhaps they would find a useful one on the way.
He would keep watch while searching himself, fearing how this could turn out otherwise. This place at least came with a powerful babysitter, while he could make sure to get stronger.

Asy was terrified when Buddy ran towards him, without Karma anywhere in sight. Just what had happened to fluffy?! The child might be a gremlin at points but they had never gone against the simple rule he had given them. Running in the direction he had last seen them he spotted Karma but was alarmed at seeing a cloaked figure near them.
The stranger must have seen him as they turned towards him, grinning creepily before vanishing into thin air. Ignoring that for now he kneeled in front of Karma, patting over their body making sure they were ok. They were shockingly healthier then he last saw them minutes ago and he was baffled at what the stranger had done.
"Karma....who was that?"
"I think they are my new parent"
Asy wheezed at the news, hoping Nova didn't take this badly. He was sure that the stranger was a Multiversal traveller, as their magic had been barely hidden and did not hide the sadistic amusement at his fear. He was surrounded by ass- UNRAD DUDES....he hated the child lock that had been placed over him.
It made him sound too much like the Parasite for this liking. His Nightmare might have said Fresh didn't feel emotions but that didn't stop them from 'playing' with him. There had been so many close calls of him nearly losing his SOUL and he never wanted the 'honour' of witnessing their true form ever again.
He had almost dusted mini Fresh out of self preservation, when he had first seen them. His need to hide his magic and watching how differently they acted, was the only reason he was now comfortable around them.
As soon as he had arrived home with Karma, he turned around and screamed, as Nova suddenly appeared sitting on his couch. He was getting too many shocks for his liking lately. He hadn't bothered replacing the couch, as he knew the ba-BRO would break the next one as well. He just attracted sadists to him. He wanted to cry at his fate but was pretty sure this was karma. It had all gone wrong when he first agreed with the demon child to dust all the monsters in his AU.
" Bit jumpy aren't you, kitty kat? "
His eye socket twitched at the nickname and he knew Nova loved pushing his buttons. He was too scared to snark back, especially with their LOVE pushing down on his body. He just had to endure it, as they literally could control him whenever they liked. He took a deep breath and admitted to what had happened at the park.
" It was to be expected. I thought there would be others interested in Karma. The trap didn't activate, so there was no danger to them "
"I would have liked to know! What if someone dangerous came?!"
Asy was feeling a tad hysterical at who he could have encountered. He did not consider himself weak but compared to Nova, he wasn't even on the scale of power. He might as well have been a bug on their shoe and they clearly knew it, with the condescending look on their skull.
" I thought about that. My magic on your SOUL would have been a beacon to attract the more 'violent types'. If you were dusted i would be alerted, so i could know to go and grab Karma "
Asy did not feel any better at their words and was horrified he was equated to a crappy alarm system. He could feel his eyelights threaten to extinguish, at the emotional turmoil he was under. He leaned against the door, holding in the urge to cry at how his life was going.
He had just realised that Karma had gotten out of his grip and was now sitting on Nova's lap, telling them all about what had happened. He didn't dare to get closer but did hear Nova mutter about meeting the 'bright Dream' to show them what SOULS 'taste good'.
His horror just kept growing and he felt faint when Nova started lecturing Karma on which SOULS were the most 'beneficial' for them. Apparently Nova could tell Karma had recently eaten a 'sub standard' one.
He kept forgetting he was housing a being of Death magic but this talk was making him remember and making him feel rather queasy. There were certain lines he wouldn't cross and this was firmly one of them...Maybe he should start drinking again. The sharp pain in his SOUL and the glare from Nova, clearly vetoed that option.
When Asy felt wetness on his face he was unsurprised to realise he was leaking liquid hatred. He was too numb to care but knew it was going to be a pain to clean.
...He should have stayed with Boss. At least he knew what to expect there.

Nova was content to leave Karma alone for longer periods of time, now that he had updated the shield surrounding this multiverse. He was amused how on edge Killer felt through the bond since they last met, wondering when they would finally snap. He was impressed at their self control but it was getting a bit dull.
He did manage to find that bright Dream and got on surprisingly well with the other Destroyer. Their magic was intense and their whole personality entertained him, when directed towards others of course. Whenever they tried to provoke him he was thrilled in the fights that resulted in and was impressed how they both managed to destroy multiple multiverses in their battles.
No wonder Karma was so calm around him, they were used to dealing with another insane Destroyer. He knew the AntiVoid had stolen some of his sanity in his unwilling stay and could see his insanity reflected in Onerios eyelights.
He could tolerate their attention on the Godling but grimaced when Oneiro told him of others. He would have to test them, as his standards were rather high.
His planning for the downfall, of all who dared think they were worthy of Karma's attention was derailed, when Oneiro shared some worries they had about the Godling. He had wanted to deny the harsh reality but he had seen it himself. It was the main reason he had kept them near Killer but he had sadly overestimated the other.
Killer was too weak to be more than a temporary food source for Karma and they both agreed they needed a more unique monster, that could withstand Karma's hunger. Nova had to order Killer to feed the Godling more as even the SOULS were not filling the hunger, he could feel Karmas magic demanded. Even Oneiro admitted he didn't think his magic was the correct type for what was needed.
That is when they split up and searched for the perfect monster for the job. Months passed and Oneiro led him towards a multiverse that had several desirable attributes. Nova was better at Code then Oneiro, so he spotted that this multiverse was set to self-destruct, without outside interference. He smirked at the fun he was going to have and heard Oneioro cackle at the monster he picked.
He could see this going well and he was excited at seeing an AU that he knew the Godling would enjoy.

Nova: You make good bait Asy
Asy: *twitching sockets* That is not a compliment!

*Oneiro laughing while collapsing multiverses*
Nova: My kind of monster!
