I left the lake and stood still for a moment. I wanted to try something, if I was basically a wolf, would I have wolfish abilities? I straightened my ears and concentrated. It took me awhile, but I finally heard the faint sound of the town. I speedily ran back to the town and just before I walked out of the forest, I morphed back into a human. It felt a little strange going back into this form.

I stretched and walked into the orphanage. I started walking up the stairs to my room but stopped when I saw Ms. Maple sitting in a chair. Ms. Maple was the woman that apparently found me in the first place, but nobody had ever taken the time to tell me where, when, or how they found me, and I never bothered to ask.

"Ms. Maple?" I said and walked over to her. She looked up at me.

"Yes?"

"I was wondering if you could tell me when, where, and how you found me. I just really want to know, everything." She thought for a moment.

"Well I actually found you in the forest. You were all alone deep in the forest and so I brought you here."

"Why were you in the forest?" I interrupted.

"My friend who is part of the police received a distress call from the area and I and my friends went with him to have a look. Turns out there was nothing there when we got there and on our way back we found you."

"How did you find me?"

"We heard you crying. You know, it's really weird, but I could've sworn there was a red flash when we heard you crying, heh. I guess I was just my eyes playing tricks on me." She finished and chuckled for a moment then stopped.

"Why so many questions?" She asked before I walked off.

"No reason. I was just interested." I said and went up to my room.

The forest? Why had I been in the forest? A red flash? A distress call? What did all this mean?! I needed answers. But I also needed to try and not die, or kill anybody. Speaking of which, I turned on the TV. I switched it to the news and it showed a news reporter woman outside the front of the school. She said:

"You join me here, in a school that has just been attacked by the monster. Luckily there were no serious injuries, however the area is currently under search for any signs or clues from it. We urge everyone in the area to be wary, and it would probably be a good idea to stay indoors after dark. I turned off the TV.

What?! No serious injuries! What's that supposed to mean?! I didn't hurt anybody! All I did was run around a bit! Geez. You'd think they were talking about the apocalypse! Grr. I'm tired now.
