Chapter 8

"Hi, Alli!" Joe yelled to me.

"Hi!" I yelled back at him, "What's up!"

"You know, the sky." Joe replied, looking up at the sky.

I laughed.

"What's in that cup?" Joe asked, pointing to my large Starbucks.

"It's a large vanilla bean frappechino." I replied.

Joe nodded. I walked to Joe.

"Would you like to walk with me?" Joe asked.

"Of course." I replied.

We walked the rest of the way to school. Once we arrived at school, we saw everyone staring at us.

"Alli and Joe, sitting..." The school shouted.

"No, we're not!" Joe yelled.

"We're just friends!" I yelled!

The school out their arms up in surrender, making a moment of silence. I laughed just so that there would be no more silence. The bell rang. We all walked to our lockers. We have block schedule. Today we have Reading. Our Reading teacher is obsessed with the dictionary. Reading is right after lunch. Mrs. Novak must be ashamed of her reputation as the strictest teacher. Periods one through six, the periods before lunch, flew by quickly. The bell rang for lunch. I ran out into the hallway. Cassidy Stewart walked into the hallway and shoved Joe into his locker. Cassidy beat up Kennedy, and threw Ellie out the window.

"No, you can't do this! You will regret it!" I yelled.

Cassidy replied, "That doesn't matter to me."

"Cassidy, run before I throw you out the window." I warned.
I ran outside the school and helped Ellie up.

"Ellie, are you okay?" I asked.

She nodded. We walked back to the cafeteria. On the way, we let Joe out of the locker, and Helped Kennedy up. I walked Kennedy and Ellie to the school nurse. She looked horrified.

"Who did this?" She asked.

"Cassidy Stewart." I replied.

She nodded and sent me back to lunch. I bought a salad and sat next to Joe.

"I feel so bad for Ellie and Kennedy. Are they alright?" Joe asked.

"I hope so." I replied.

Lunch flied by so quickly. Now it's time for Reading.

Cassidy, it's not over yet. It will never be, no matter how hard you try. I will win this.
