I fell asleep in my bed.

The next morning, 4:15 a.m.

I got dressed for school and fixed. father breakfast, lunch, and a snack. I did this like my life depended on it.

5:15 a.m

I ran out the door and ran to the local park, which is a few blocks away. I took a jog to Starbucks coffee, then to the donut place, like normal. Instead of going all the way to school, I ran back to the local park. I just sat there, playing Temple Run.

5:30 a.m

Kennedy texted me.

Kennedy- I'm signing you up for a drivers test.

Me- When?

Kennedy- Today, right after school!

Me- Seriously!!! Gee, thanks Kennedy!

Susan- Alli, she signed me up, too!

Wait... This is a group chat? Whatever. I just resumed with the text.

Me- Awesome! How much does it cost?

Kennedy- No money.

Me- What about Ellie?

Ellie- What?

Me- Ellie, did you get signed up for a drivers test like Kennedy, Susan, and I?

Ellie- Of course she did! Isn't this awesome!

Me- Do you want me to pick you guys up?

Ellie- Kennedy's riding a limo, Susan is sick, and I'm riding my bike with my brother to school. Sorry. Just need one day a month of family time.

Me- Of course. Why would I get in the way of family time?

Ellie- I don't know. I better go!

Me- Bye, Ellie! Bye Susan! Bye Kennedy!

I stopped texting. Joe jogged by.
