I got home a little late, I know I shouldn't but I really need to talk with Cameron, he was my ex-boyfriend and we didn't end in good terms. His mother, once she saw me she wanted to know how I was doing so she kindly asked me to stay for dinner like the 'old days', sure I accepted...

I walked upstairs, and went to my room as I was walking through the hallway to my room I heard steps and someone breathing I quickly looked back analyzing the surroundings I watched the black figure come closer to me when she did I took his arm and spin it into the ground but after I do it the figure stopped me and I could feel his breath

"Kara"

Oh, I know this voice. It's Tracie's older hot guy.

"Derek"

"Good moves"

" yeah you too"

"What are you doing here so late ?"

" I got up to grab some food "

"Yeah sure, and that was after or before you dress your uniform"

"Well- I "

"Till 2 a.m! What the fuck were you doing there huh?"

"Taking care of Cameron! "

" How old is he? 8? "

" look I'm not in the mood to this "

"You have to respond to me "

" no, I don't! You're not my father nor my mother! Your just some random guy who protects me of god knows what! Now stop trying to get in my life !" I said walking away letting him in the middle of the hallway but then I sense he didn't move so I looked back and there he was I calm down and I asked: " how did you find me ?"

"I told you I am always on time! Doesn't matter how I get there and how "

"Thanks" I said almost tearing up, I don't know why but this time this fight of ours was more emotional than the others

" breakfast and ... goodnight "

I couldn't finish the sentence I just couldn't thank him for punching my ex-boyfriend. As I opened the door to my room suddenly a hand grabbed my arm and spun me till my back gently hit the wall and I could feel a warm breath that sent a shiver down my spine.

"why can't you just tell me things ?" he whispered really low which made his voice even sexier

"I tell you things "

"not all" he responded "it's better that you keep in your pretty head of yours that I'm gonna protect you always I'm gonna be there always like it or not "

"Ok..." I said after a while like my mouth didn't know how to work anymore

"Good night princess" he said, then he walked leaving me there weak, against the wall.

[Tuesday]

I woke up and got ready for college. I put my daily and cute makeup on I got dressed and went downstairs praying that Johanna was there. SHE WAS.

"Hey Johanna " I said once I entered the kitchen Martin was already eating a bowl of cereals

"Hello, Darling! How are you? " she asked in that sweet tone of hers and I gave her a kiss in the cheek

"I'm good and you Johanna? How was your day out?" I said and then I gave a kiss to my brother in the head while he was eating "hey little bro"

"oh, it was wonderful dear, Robin took me out " Robin was Johanna's husband a very nice man once in a wild he comes
"we had fun"

"I'm happy for you then" I said smiling

"Derek is quite a gentleman dear " Johanna stated

"well sometimes "

" I like him, he's cool" Martin said, and suddenly Derek comes in

"Speak of the Devil " I stated, he came in. Handsome like always, he was wearing a white shirt and beige pants with of course a pair of glasses

"Good morning" he said looking at Martin and then to Johanna...leaving me, I smiled to this attitude

"Morning" Martin said

"Good Morning sweetie " Johanna said happily like he enchanted her or something. Seriously I don't understand everyone's obsession over this man. She looked at me then realizing he didn't say his 'Good Morning's' to me and she simply smiled

"Kara, you ready ?" Charming asked and I nodded

We said our goodbyes and got in the car, the trip was silent. Actually a weird and disturbing silence I must say. After I left the car I looked at him he didn't flinch he stood on looking to the road although the car was parked .

" I'll be here when you leave" he spoke

"I'm not going home after school" I said but before I could finish he interrupted me.

"Why?"

"I'm going to Ben & Susie's for lunch "

"I'll go with you"

"Well you see ... you can't " I said I didn't know what was happening to me but it was very difficult to tell him a simple thing

"Why?" He asked, my voice disappeared and I couldn't form words I didn't know why I was never like this it was like I was doing something wrong and I didn't have the courage to say to him what was

Luckily the school bell saved me

"need to go" I said quickly getting out of the car hearing Derek's callings

"GIRLS " I screamed at my friends, they were discussing who was the prettiest brother Damon or Stefan

"WHAT?" they asked in union

" Both of them are cute. Now stop! Start to discuss interesting things"

"hey Kara" a very very familiar voice said. I looked up to see who this voice belonged to... Cameron

"The date is still on?"

"yeah"

"ok bye K, girls" he said first looking at me and then to my now angry girlfriends

"DON'T YOU GIRL ME YOU GILIPOLLAS" Isabella screamed

"you arsehole" Al commented

"always nice" he said walking away from us

"oh start to discuss interesting things" Al started " I have an idea let's discuss an interesting thing - What the heck was the all date thing about ?" she finished looking at me in disbelief

" Fine " I breathed trying get the courage to tell my friends what happened " Yesterday I was a caught up with the whole Tracie and Derek thing "

"I went home by myself walking and listening to some music, I really needed that and suddenly Cameron appears and starts talking with me "

"Well, what did the cabrón said ?"

" He said he was sorry and he really wanted to try again and show me how much I meant to him"

"Sure" they said at the same time

"Then Derek appeared out of nowhere and they both started to yell at each other "

"Uhh romantic fights it seems like a Spanish novela "

"ok no Bella no" I spoke " long story short, Derek punched Cameron"

" I took Cameron home with Derek help and then Derek left and I stood there. Then his mother asked me to stay for dinner and yeah at the end of the night he asked me on a date "

"ok " Al started "There's just one thing I didn't get. You're going on a date, with your ex-boyfriend, the one who cheated you with Tracie, after 5 years of dating...?!"

"ARE YOU MAD?" Bella said "are you a masochist? He's bad! Why do you don't you get that?"

"Well but everyone deserves a second chance, doesn't it ?" I asked

"not always Kara" Al spoke " Look we are your friends will be here no matter what but we also need to warn you about stupid things you will do and this is one of them "

" I appreciate your concern but it's just one date "

"ok Kara" Bella said " we love you "

"yeah we do "Al said smiling
