Subject J stood in the corner, watching his fellow subjects as they slept. He had been up for hours, not really doing anything in particular. Suddenly, he moved. He crossed his arms, hunching in slightly on himself. “This is stupid.” He growled, scowling at nothing. “I’m not doing this.” His expression became fiercer, yet somehow more terrified. “Tell me where Roman and Remus are! I know you’ve done something with them!”

His expression quickly became neutral again, he straightened his posture. A second later, he grinned widely and giggled. “Aww, kiddo! Don’t be sad! I’m sure we’ll get out of here eventually!” He smiled dopily. He then coughed, and began crying. “I’m sorry, Dr. Berry! I didn’t mean to!” He sighed, returning to a neutral expression.

Then, he laughed strangely. “Dr. Berry told me that I can have a roommate when I get out of here!” He giggled. “That could be us!” Then he shifted, making his expression oddly hollow. “I know how to read now, Jan-Jan. Soon, I’ll catch up to you.” He laughed emptily. Subject J paused, before sighing heavily. He straightened himself out, making his posture perfect. 

“I assure you, Subjects R-E and R-O are perfectly fine.” He cleared his throat, pushing up imaginary glasses. “Good job, Subject J.” He smiled stiffly. “You show great potential.”

Subject J turned, staring directly at the security camera.
