She opens the top drawer, where she has stored the broken pieces of her remote. Pulling out a small toolkit from beneath the desk, she sets to work.

INT. FLICKER'S BEDROOM - DAY - FLASHBACK

MR. QUINCY, a well-put-together man in casual business attire, is seated at Flicker's desk, working on the remote. Flicker is standing at his shoulder, watching raptly.

MR. QUINCY

(eagerly)
