The boy grabs for her again and she turns to run, only to find that the exit has been blocked by the boy's two friends. She searches their faces, terror displayed on hers, before turning back and attempting to run past the boy.

No such luck. He grabs her and pins her to his chest.

Flicker struggles as much as she can, but seeing as she is so much smaller than the boy, there is little she can do.

The boy reaches into her sweatshirt pocket and pulls out the money along with the remote. He shoves the money in his pocket before releasing Flicker, holding the remote above her head so she is forced to jump to try to reach it, to no avail.
