Chapter 35
Feather After // Chapter 35 // Get Even With Juice Cans
Aria's POV
I couldn't believe that he was there it was almost like seeing a pondthein a middle of a vast and a long desert. I smiled and almost jumped. Yes! He was finally back.
"Manchurian!" I screamed on top of my lungs and leaped into the air. I ran towards him and I'm pretty sure everyone around me thought that I was crazy or had bi polar syndrome.
I jumped into him and he caught me in the air. He twirled around and I giggled still hanging down his shoulder and in his arms. "What the hell are you doing here?" I looked at him and I put my hand on his shoulder. This was impossible. This couldn't happen. I mean when I shifted I never thought I would see him again.
"Oh my god, what are you doing here?" his figure towered over mine. He was a well built man with muscles bulging out oh his shirt. He was a real life Johnny Bravo. He was wearing his black shirt and black pants. I knew he had two three guns tucked here and there.
"Well, what can I say? Your dad recruited me again," he smiled and looked at me, "I missed you kiddo," he ruffled my hair and smiled at me.
Manchurian was my body guard or my escort who was there with me from the very starting. As far as I know, when I was born and when I used to be with my parents, he took care of me beside Nanna. He took me every where or moreover where I went, he went.
I don't know, something happened that my father kicked him out. He was asked to pack his bags and leave while I was asked to move to Seattle. Half of the time I didn't know what was happening in the family so yeah, I didn't really have the slightest clue.
"So when are you starting?" I stepped back and smiled. Well, I had my family now who cares what happened, next.
"Well, I'm supposed to pick you from school, so I just came a little early to meet you. I'll be waiting for you outside. Don't get detention today, your detention record have been quite impressive."
"How do you even know about it?" I asked him, he was not there with me. And I had made sure no one knew about it. I mean, I didn't want to get a lecture from my father about discipline.
"Rule number one sweetheart never underestimate anyone's desperation, obsession and fear. Remember I was a FBI agent, the very first to move out from my small village in South Africa and got recruited by your father, to take care of you."
How could I forget that? I looked around and to my surprise, students were looking at me, very strangely. Well, I'll just say that it wasn't exactly their fault. I mean how often do you see a quite and almost depressed looking girl scream and shout and hug a total stranger, who looked like Johnny Bravo?
I opened my locker and pulled my physics book out. I took out my notebook and smiled seeing them Shawn Mendes was my new addition, well next to Niall Horan, the hot babe obviously.
I moved my hand through them and pulled my physics book out. Well, I knew one thing for sure that physics just couldn't be physics without me ending up in detention or with me ending up in tears. I think that the physics sir came for me. Like I think he missed scolding me or sending my sorry ass to detention or humiliating me in front of the whole class, again and again.
I walked into the physics room, and silently thanked god that Mr. Harrison hadn't arrived yet. I sat at one corner of the room. I moved my head in different directions to see if I would be visible to him from any side or corner of the seat.
I huffed in silence when my view was clear. He couldn't see me in any direction from all around them room. I waited for him to arrive while I looked in front of me.
"That's her, isn't she?" Some one said and I looked in the direction of the voice and to my surprise, I saw them looking at him. Once, they looked at me they turned their heads around as if they were trying to hide the fact that they were looking at me.
I turned my head back and tried to hear what they were saying without trying to look at them. Before I could eavesdrop anymore, Mr. Harrison came inside the class and sat on his chair. He picked up a chalk from the wooden desk and stood up again. In bold letters, he wrote manners.
"Student,s I know you are not ready for physics today, I mean who would be ready? Let's have some value education class today because I have noticed something, that your generation lacks some serious values,' he smugly looked at the class and then sat down in his seat again.
I looked at everyone around me, and I saw everyone looking here and there, but they did not look in the eye of Mr. Harrison. Everyone was scared, everyone.
"So tell me class, tell me. What do you do if you find someone lying on the road dying? Will you help them or you let them be there just like the driver who hit him?" He stood up and started walking towards the other end of the class.
He touched the pin board which was hung on the back of the room, and then suddenly yelled, "tell me!" I shuddered.
What could have I done? I mean, I was not really used to loud amplitude and frequency of sound. Nobody said anything and they all kept quite. He walked back in front of the class and his eyes reflected fear, anger and helplessness.
"We have been taught about honesty from the time when we are kids, but right now nobody believes in it. All people care about is money. People can erase and create god damn evidences, just because they have money," he huffed as if he was trying to hold his tears at bay.
What he said was totally true. In today's world, if one had money, he or she could possibly do anything in the world, anything. Mr. Harrison may have physically recovered but one thing was very clear he hadn't recovered mentally at all.
Who so ever did whatever with him, he or she had mentally hurt him. Maybe it was the remorse that he didn't know what to do about. He couldn't do anything to help himself because he didn't have that kind of money. Was Ignatius the reason why all of this had happened? I mean, as far as I heard he was very rich, and that his parents had a lot of things and advantages which an average American did not have. So after losing himself Mr. Harrison stopped. He sat on his chair while he held on to his head like it was going to fall and he for the first time mumbled the students to do whatever they could do with their mouth closed and without moving their legs.
The period soon ended and everyone started leaving the class. When I stepped outside the class I saw Rachael standing there leaning to the wall and quietly examined her nails. I coughed and she looked at me.
"Its lunch time," before I could say anything, she dragged me towards the cafeteria. While we were walking, or let me say, while Rachael was walking and dragging me I told her to wait for me at the entrance of the cafeteria. I walked back hurriedly to my locker to fetch my lunch.
When I was closing my locker I heard someone snicker. I turned to look who it was and to my surprise Ignatius and his three friends were walking by.
"That's the new girl you have been talking about, isn't it?" I turned back around trying my best to not look tense. I shrugged it off, because I knew one thing boys loved gossip as much as girls loved it. I walked towards the cafeteria and s strange feeling came over me. I knew something was going to happen, maybe it was just anxiety, I mean I was going to meet some new people today who I would call my friends for the next two years hopefully.
When Rachael saw me approaching her, she smiled, and sarcastically exclaimed, "took you long enough. I though you had run away or something."
"I really want to run away now, I really did. Meeting new people is not exactly my forte. I mumble things I shouldn't say and do things that is not expected of any individual," she rolled her eyes, and started walking into the cafeteria, I followed her and when we approached her friends table, they looked at me and I gulped.
Dear god, help me.
"Well, everybody this is Aria, and Aria this is everyone, I know," she gestured at the people sitting in front of me. The table was at one end of the room and it was kind of away from the rest of the noises and shouting. If it wasn't for so many unknown people in front of me, I would have loved it here.
"Aria," Rachael's elbow collided with my tummy and I groaned. I used my right arm to rub the place where she elbowed me while I glared at her.
"Hmm, my name is Aria, it's nice to meet you all."
"Come on, have a seat," Xavier said and he shifted to his right to make some place for me. I smiled at him because for the first time in my life I was very happy because of his presence.
I sat down next to him and mumbled a thanks while Rachael sat in front of me. I looked straight and I saw Ignatius staring at me. When he saw me staring at him, he smirked and I rolled my eyes. Then I saw him say something to his friends and they all looked at me. Some of them just smirked while one rolled his eyes
.
When I saw them looking at me, I averted my eyes. This was strange, "Don't give a crap about them, they are trouble. Stay away from them," I looked to my left and saw a girl sitting next to me, who I hadn't noticed because I was too busy being less crazy.
She had beautiful and long silver hair, and she wore a camisole with white shorts and plane flats. She definitely had a great style in fashion, whatever she wore was far better than me.
"My name is Claudia, I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself before, I'm in your Physics class. I sit in front of you." she bit on to her apple while she looked at the others.
"I haven't noticed you! Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I'm not that great at introducing my self either," I smiled at her she seemed to be a genuinely nice person and by far the friendliest of the all. Or maybe she was talking to me because she was sitting next to me and all.
"So, you are babysitting her now?" I heard someone say. I looked at the guy and I recognized him in a second, he was the same guy from the physics class, who was talking about me to his friend or who so ever he was and I guess one of the members of the Ignatius's gang.
"Are you done playing with your dick because it won't be there, if you don't leave in the next five seconds," Rachael said and looked at me, as if she was saying that she had got it, and I needn't put my feet in the puddle.
"Doesn't she have a nanny or something, I mean this is a school for thirteen to seventeen years old not three to seven years old," he said again.
"Quite it Romeo, go give your shit to someone who cares," Rachael butted again.
Who told him about Nanna? I had only told Ignatius and Rachael about her. Ignatius, he did not just do that!
I don't know what happened to me suddenly, I got up from my seat, grabbed the fruit can Nanna had sent me, and went up to the table where Ignatius and his minions were sitting. When he looked at me, his smirked widened. He smiled at me wickedly and his eyes almost twinkled. He knew he had hit the nerve and when I realized he was enjoying it, my anger intensified.
For all that he had done to me, the proposal, the fake promises, the times I had cried for him and that he had no absolutely no remorse for it.
"Why are you here, girl?" he said and slid towards me.
"To get even," with that I poured the orange juice on his head, shocking myself, the jerk who thought he would get away after insulting my family and everyone else present there.
