I

Faye Dumbledore.

She was a peculiar girl.

Even from the day she was born, the doctors could sense that there was something magical about her.

She made 'conversation' with animals, and she loved to almost fall off the sofa, but catch herself at the last second.

Faye had light brown tufts of hair since she was one week old. She had dark green eyes that would pierce right through your soul.

She was also very smart for her age. At two months, she was saying mama. No one knew how, or why, they just knew she was a baby genius.

Her father fled when Faye was just three months old.

He was sick of all of the attention his daughter was getting, and he was afraid they would find out secret information about their family.

He wished he could take Faye with, but his life was way too dangerous for her.

It wouldn't be right.

Faye was adopted by a small family, and grew up wondering what had happened to her real father.

She had two half brothers, and an adoptive mother and father.

Faye was happy with her new life, but always up to something out of the ordinary.

Since she was a genius, she was put into a special private school. She had one friend there. A boy named Thomas Holcomb.

He was a year older than she was, and they got along fairly well.

Faye was always nervous when going to her school. She always wondered which kids would ridicule her, and what for.

Faye was bullied relentlessly until she was 8, when she accidentally injured one of her classmates. The boys name was Luke, and he had been thrown across the room. She hadn't done it herself, although she was the only one standing anywhere near him.

He ended up with severe head trauma, and had to stay home and in various hospitals to recover.

Ever since then, everyone was too scared to even approach her. Well, besides Thomas.

Faye loved to read. She read constantly. At the dinner table, on the train, under the sheets in bed, everywhere.

Her favorite book was Anne Of Green Gables, and she loved to reminisce on Annes cleverness.

Her two step-brothers Doug, and Micheal always jokingly made fun of her.

"Mom! Faye's reading! Again! At dinner!" Micheal would say every single night.

Faye would kick his shin under the table, and he would slap her wrist.

Doug would smile at Micheal, and the two would run upstairs after dinner and take care of Micheals bruises.

Faye loved her new family. Her mother Janie was a librarian, and she brought Faye home new, more challenging books every night.

Her dad was a conductor at the local train station, and he would always let her come up, and ring the loud bell.

Fayes life was near perfect.

Until one day when a man with a long white beard, and half moon spectacles appeared at the doorway.
