Squid's POV

(Rewind to after he gives Sky the notebook)

After he left I walked over to the bed. I sat down facing the wall, and proceeded to kick the stone bricks that the wall was made of. After about a minute I was bored of that. I lay down on the bed and put my legs on the wall, and my head hanging off the side of the bed. This bored state continued for several painful hours.

At one point I literally fell face first into the bed, my face buried in the musty sheets and my legs tucked in, my butt in the air.

When I had been in that position for a few more minutes, I heard footsteps.

"What did you do?" Asked a feminine voice. I sat up and looked towards the front of the cell. On the other side of the bars stood a girl, she had short black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a red tank top, black leggings and boots.

"Nothing," I reply.

She raised her eyebrow at me.

"It's true," I say, "I brought some kids back home and then....Jerome, the bacca dude, smelled that I was squid. Which I am but...."

"Yeah, I get what you mean by that." She says.

"I ran away from the squids, but I was captured by the sky army, since I had been part of the squid army. One of my friends came with me, but about six months ago we were freed. And now we're both high ranking, I'm a knight and she's one of the guards."

I nod, "sounds fun, but why exactly are you telling me your life story?"

She glares at me a little bit, "because Baka, I'm gonna try to get you out! Whenever we capture someone we have a meeting on whether or not we should free them, and if the captured person tell us useful info they are given the chance to join us, if they don't we usually execute them." She shrugs, "that's how it goes around here."

I scoot back up against the wall, trying to make it look casual. "O-kaaaayyy?" I say.

"Anyways, I think I hear someone coming, see ya later!" And she walks off. I roll my eyes and resume my earlier position.

I hear someone talking a few moments later, and I assumed one of the voices was jade, tho I couldn't be sure. And I can't identify the other persons voice.

I hear footsteps, and then they stop, I hear someone chuckling slightly before they speak. "Nice booty dude!" Says the one and only, Sky.

My face heats up to about a million degrees. I sit up quickly and look at him, glaring a bit. I bare my teeth a little and mentally shoot daggers into his skull. I was mostly acting ticked off to hide my blushing.

I walked over to him and held my hand out, signaling for him to hand me the notebook. He places it in my hand, and after a few moments I spoke, "did ya get the info you need?"

He looks startled for a second, and his face turns a light shade of pink, I have to keep from smirking. 'Heh, he's blushing, I wonder....' I think before my thoughts are cut off By him speaking.

"O-oh yeah," he says, stuttering a bit. "I'm gonna go over the info with some of the other commanding officers around here and we'll decide if we should free you or not."

I give him a small nod, and turn around, walking over to the bed. I flop face first on to the bed and I hear his footsteps, walking away. I grab one of the pillows and hug it, curling up a little bit.

My thoughts wander for a little bit and they eventually land on sky. My face heats up a little bit. 'What is he doing to me?' I ask myself as I fall asleep.

I hope y'alls enjoyed that chapter! HardcoreFangirl15 has been bugging me to update since yesterday. I had to go to the orthodontist today so while I was waiting I finished the chapter....I'm still waiting tbh. But, we're getting closer to the skyuid though!!! Wee woo!!! Anywho...
