Chapter 14

Jade's POV

"Hurry up Baka! We need to find him before they do!" I yelled as I ran down the halls. F*ck the rules, I'll run if I want to.

"I am hurrying! I'm not as fast as you remember!?" yells Tori as she struggles to catch up with me.

"Then maybe you should exercise more so you are as fast as me!" I yell back before turning a corner.

A few moments later I hear a crash and a yelp of pain from behind me. I stop and look behind me and burst into a fit of laughter. Tori apparently slipped while turning the corner and now she's trapped underneath a table with flowers on her now soaked face caused by the water that used to be in the vase that is slowly rolling away.

I hear her groan and sit up, and the flowers fall off, leaving bits of leaf and petal stuck in her hair and on her face. She looks over and shoots me a not very intimidating glare that causes me to laugh even harder.

"Shut up," she says, annoyed. She picks herself off the ground and flicks off the table.

Still laughing a bit, I walk over and watch as she pulls leaves and stuff out of her hair and off her clothes. When she finishes she looks at the mess and back at me before speaking.

"Run or clean it up?" She asks, looking back at the mess.

"Run," I reply and we take off running again down the corridor. F*ck the rules.

Tori's POV

'I hate corners' I think to myself as we run down the halls and towards the back doors. We make it outside, but pause for a second to take a breathe. I look over at Jade "Do you remember where that tunnel leads?" I ask her in between breathes.

"I think it leads out to near the east wall that leads to the forest." She replies, looking over at me.

I nod, finally regaining my breath. "Lets go then," I say before sprinting off.

"Wrong way baka!" I hear before turning around.

"I knew that!" I yell back, my face heating up as I turn around and start heading back in the correct direction. Jade rolls her eyes as I pass and takes off running with me and, as usual, getting ahead in only a few seconds.

"Gogdammit," I mutter under my breathe as I race after her.

After a few minutes, I'm struggling to catch my breath as Jade waits impatiently by the East castle wall.

"Took ya long enough," She grumbles, rolling her eyes.

"Not my fault you're faster," I wheeze, using the dark grey brick wall as support.

After I've mostly caught my breathe, I look up at the several metere wall. "D'ya think he climbed it?" I ask, scanning the wall.

"Most likely," I hear Jade reply.

"That idiot," I mutter before pushing slightly on a lighter coloured brick. I step back slightly as a fairly average-sized opening appears.

"Let's go baka," says Jade, grabbing my arm and yanking me through seconds before it closes back up. I rub my shoulder as pain shoots through it because of Jade's yanking 'Gog damn she's strong for a small person, my shoulder hurts like hell now.' I think looking at the towering oaks in front of us.

"Onwards," I say, letting go of my shoulder as we both take a step forwards.
