Ace and Alexis enter a small apartment.

Rei: "This is where you live?"

Ace: "You've got a problem?"

Alexis closes the door behind her before stumbling over to a black sofa toward the far right wall and next to a short hallway.

Samuel: "I'd try not to argue with the person you're stuck with until you die."

Ace: "Until I die?"

Meanwhile...

Sakura and Shoma step into a large living room and A large flatscreen next to the door.

Johnny: "Nice place."

Shoma plops onto the couch, visibly exhausted.

Shoma: "(exhausted) You'd better get used to it."

Sakura: "Get... used to it?"

Meanwhile...

Alexis: "(exhausted) You've activated a special power that can be passed from extended contact with a carrier of it."

Samuel: "It's called soul bonding and it happens when one person with the trait dies and comes in contact with another soul."

Meanwhile...

Lucas: "It's a trait that was created by what most people would call Satan, but his real name was Verse."

Sakura: "Verse?"

Shoma: "(exhausted) Your mother and some others fought him and a few others when we were your age."

Meanwhile...

Samuel: "We kept this trait secret because we thought it wouldn't have to be used ever again."

Ace: "And this Requiem guy tried to kill me as a sort of revenge?"

Alexis: "(exhausted) But the thing is, Requiem shouldn't have been able to come back after our last encounter."

Meanwhile...

Johnny: "You thought you finished him."

Lucas: "And it looks like that was the biggest mistake someone could ever make."

Meanwhile...

Alexis: "(exhausted) But now we simply have lost too much time."

As Ace sits down on a nearby chair, a large malamute hops onto his lap.

Rei: "Then I guess that means you have to leave things to us."

Ace begins to pet the dog.

Ace: "(smirking) Rex..."

Meanwhile...

Johnny: "No sweat. Helps that middle school is a piece of cake."

Shoma: "But you know that you don't have to fight alone."

Meanwhile...

Alexis: "You only need a year or two to pass along the trait."

Ace: "What do you expect me to do? Kill someone like Lloyd?"

Samuel: "We're not saying to murder someone. The enemy will try to kill you and he may end up in the crossfire."

Meanwhile...

Sakura: "Emma..."

Both Shoma and Alexis say the same sentence simultaneously.

Shoma/ Alexis: "It's up to you."

Ace: "I'm not making any promises."

Meanwhile...

Sakura: "I-I'll try..."

Sakura starts walking down a dark hallway.

Meanwhile...

Rex hops off of Ace's lap as he stands up and starts walking towards an open door at the end of the hall with Rex trotting behind him.
