Ace and his mother are locked into traffic.

Samuel: "Ouch."

Alexis slams her face into the steering wheel.

Alexis: "(drained) Why today?"

Ace: "(sighing) I'm going to sleep."

Ace takes a nap.

Samuel: "Good to know that Requiem can take advantage of this."

Cars continue to honk away.

Alexis: "Yeah, but-"

Screams of agony are heard behind them.

Samuel: "What's going on?!"

They can see a moving truck dash it's way through the cars and heading straight for them.

Ace: "What the hell is going on?"

Ace looks at the truck.

Alexis: "N-No!"

Alexis manages to get out of the car in time, but Ace wasn't so lucky.

Ace: "I'm stuck!"

Samuel: "Who the hell does something like that?!"

Her car explodes with Ace being caught inside.

Alexis: "No... Requiem?"

Samuel: "Are you telling me that I jinxed it?!"

Time slows down around Alexis as the truck continues to mow down helpless civilians.

Alexis: "But why now?"

Alexis reappears in a twisted realm filled to the brim filled with soldiers covered in grey, somewhat rusted armor.

Samuel: "Now I'm just confused."

A green spear appears in Alexis's hands.

Alexis: "Maybe Max has an idea."

Samuel: "He'd better!"

However...

Ace: "(drowsy) Where... the hell am I?"

Ace is floating in a realm of pure grey.

Ace: "Just what the hell that driver think he was?!"

A purple light surrounds the area as two soldiers holding a young girl hostage rush towards Ace.

Girl: "(struggling) Let me go! H-Hey!"

One of the soldiers lets go of the girl and grabs Ace.

Ace: "(struggling) Hey!"

The soldier moves to join the other.

Girl: "If this is what death is like, then I'd rather relive my death on repeat!"

Ace: "Same."

The soldier holding Ace bumps into the one with the girl, causing both to make contact, forming a yellow light.

Soldiers: "A soul bonding?!"

The light envelopes the two.

Ace: "Say what now?"

The two are gone.

Meanwhile...

Alexis: "(exhausted) I guess time never affects Soldiers."

Alexis is drained from dealing with dozens of Soldiers.

Samuel: "Everyone else is who knows where."

Alexis: "(I wish I told Ace and Sakura."

However...

Ace: "(shaking head) What kind of dream was that?"

Ace awakens next to his mom's car in flames.

???: "Where am I?!"

The ghost of the girl is floating to Ace's side.

Ace: "Wait, that wasn't a dream?!"

Girl: "Am I in your body?!"

Time is beginning to slow down.

Ace: "What's really going on here?!"

Ace appears in a place to find more Soldiers fighting his mother.

Girl: "Who's that woman?"

Ace: "My-"

A katana giving off electricity forms in Ace's hands.

Ace: "Wh-Whoa!"

He can see his mother on the verge of death.

Ace: "I'm gonna try something!"

Ace charges forward.

Girl: "W-Wait! I don't even know your name!"

Ace: "Ace, you?"

Rei: "Rei..."

Ace: "Alright then."

Ace heads forward.

However...

Samuel: "Well, we had a good life."

Alexis: "I guess we did..."

A Soldier is about to finish off Alexis.

Ace: "Surprise!"

Ace decapitates the Soldier about to end Alexis.

Samuel: "Whoa!"

Alexis looks towards her son with his new weapon.

Alexis: "Ace, you've-"

Ace: "Now just what have you been hiding from me mom?"

The remaining soldiers focus on Ace.

Rei: "Can you just finish these guys off?!"

Electricity begins to cackle.

Ace: "I'm on it."

Ace swings the blade before lightning strikes down from above.

Samuel: "It's like... Marcel and Sho-"

Alexis: "(darkly) Don't finish that name."

Ace proceeds to decapitate the enemies.

Ace: "This is the most fun I've had in years!"

Ace leaps into the air before crashing into another enemy, leaving one left.

Rei: "Last one!"

Ace holds his blade behind him.

Samuel: "Anyways, Ace and his partner are going ballistic!"

Ace makes a final dash towards the enemy as i t defends in vain.

Ace: "It's over!"

Ace finishes the enemy off in one shocking slash.

Alexis: "But why is Requiem back?"

They begin to return to the normal world.

Samuel: "Guess those last words were something we should've taken seriously."

Ace: "So who's this guy?"

Ace walks over to his mother.

Samuel: "Uh..."

Rei: "This... isn't a dream, is it?"

Alexis: "It isn't."

The police are dealing with the insane driver.

Samuel: "We'd better explain when we get home."

Ace: "(shrugging) Can't wait to see what you've been hiding."

They begin walking away...
