Chapter 2 - Angelo
Elijah spent his archangel coronation partying, eating, and drinking some of the finest wine yet. Hours later, as everyone began to leave, he too decided to settle down for the night.
After heading to the palace Elijah took a shortcut to his room down the hall. Before he could take the right corner, he saw what appeared to be a red gleam of light.
The curious, he strolled down the corner to where the source of the mysterious light came from. Finally, Elijah met with a room that had an open door, and inside of it, stored shelves of books like a small cosy library. There was also a small fireplace, a tall wooden book stand, and lovely ash-grey couch.
Elijah rose an eyebrow to the strange feminine angel that stood near the book stand. He found that there was something unusual about this angel, due to her wings that was more of an emotionless grey, than a cloudy white.
Deciding to mind his own business and carry on, Elijah suddenly heard the words "what is the issue," utter to his ears.
Sticking his head back into the room, he watched as the grey winged angel turn his way, allowing both their eyes to connect.
The stranger gazed hard at Elijah, with her slim arms crossed and her eyebrows furrowed. The angel's eyes were a magnificent silver, with a few strands of her pitch black hair running down her shoulders, and the rest down her back.
"Is there something you want?" She questioned in a serious tone.
"Not this moment." Elijah calmly replied.
"Then why were you eavesdropping on me?" The angel spoke.
"Why were you absent during the ceremony?" Elijah shot back.
"Because I simply chose to be." the angel said with spite, leaving a short moment of silence between them.
"Okay then so what is your name?" Elijah asked, now crossing his arms as well, this time leaning his figure against the doorframe.
"Angelo." She said firmly.
"I was next in line to become the eight archangel of heaven until" He rolled his eyes as he spoke the last word.
"Until what?" Asked Elijah, awaiting Angelo's answer.
"Well until the day the archs found you, saw a blessing, took you in as a student, thought you basically everything you need to know about heaven, gave you a mission, you broke the rules and yet succeeded, they forgot about me and focused on your future position." Angelo stated, and shifted the corner of her lips.
"Well–"
"Elijah." Interrupted Haniel, who was heading his way.
"Elijah, weren't you heading to you're room?" She asked, setting her hands upon her waist.
"I was until I crossed Angelo's path." he explained.
"Well it's getting late, and a young archangel like you shouldn't be up this hour." Haniel told him.
"Of course." Elijah quickly agreed with a nod.
"Until then, Angelo." he added, but was met with a slammed door instead.
Haniel then sighed.
"Listen Elijah. To be honest, me, nor any of the other archangels, don't really want anything to do with Angelo okay? So for your own good, I want you to keep your distance from him, okay?" Haniel requested.
"Understood." Elijah assured.
