Taehyung's POV

"Kim Taehyung!" I hear Soros scream, the tone making me tense up tightly and freeze in my tracks. Uh oh. He turns around the corner, darkness floating off of his body, the power felt from beneath my feet. The ground shakes and the walls rumble. Uh oh.

"What have you done?!" This time, I cower. There's a whine that escapes me and I feel small, like a child being scolded for their wrongdoing. "What did I do..?" I ask quietly, afraid that if I speak louder, something bad will happen. He storms over to me, tendrils firing at me.

They're fast, and for the first time ever, I scream when one almost hits me. However, my ice and water counter the attack, freezing the tendril mid-air and forming a barrier around me. "How dare you?!" I gulp, my eyes scanning over the very angry Soros. I've never seen him this mad before.

"Soros! Hey! We can talk about this!" The power multiplies and pieces of the ceiling come falling down. I'm shaking, glancing around the palace. Fuck, this isn't good. "I can't believe you!" He roars, voice lowering several octaves, so much so that he sounds demonic.

That's it.

I'm being a bitch and I'm running.

And so I take off, sprinting away from him, ice covering the ground allowing me to slide. "You cannot run from me!" He roars again, sending more tendrils towards me. My magic fights them off as my mind races. What now? What do I do? Do I fight Soros?

"At least tell me what I did!" I shout, sliding on the ice and spinning around to face the pissed off God of Darkness. "I don't even know what I did, Soros!" I scream, watching as his eyes darken and more darkness encases him. Shit, this isn't good at all.

The whole palace shakes and begins to break apart, a void of darkness appearing underneath me. "That doesn't look promising," I whisper to myself, wings forming as I levitate above the shattering ground. My ice magic forms a thick wall around me, protecting me from the attacks Soros is continuing to launch.

I'm flying around the palace, just trying to get away from Soros and his dark magic. However, when one tendril finally strikes my side, anger boils within me. I'm done with this. I face him, feet planting themselves on a patch of ground that's broken off from the rest of the floor, my eyes turning black.

"Smoldris and Jungkook, lend me your power," I whisper under my breath, feeling the warmth of the fire reach my heart and burn within me. My fingertips turn orange and soon enough, the glow of the fire illuminates off of me as I stare ahead at Soros.

His eyes widen and I scream, unleashing my magic power as I push myself off the ground. The walls break and so does the floor, the darkness void shattering as my magic power grows stronger by the second. "I'm done playing these fucking games, Soros!" I scream, extending my hand and letting out the fire magic.

Then, as if the battle between us never existed, the palace was back, untouched, and looking brand new. What the fuck? My feet are on the ground and I'm breathing heavy, staring at Soros who let his magic power disappear.

I do the same.

"So it's true," He says, arms crossing over his chest as his eyes narrow into a glare. "You actually did it." I clench my fists, glaring daggers at the God before me. "Tell me what I fucking did, damn it!" He doesn't listen to me, turning away from my figure and walking down the hall.

Why this mother-

I follow him, stomping loudly with anger, like a child throwing a tantrum. He reaches his throne room and takes a seat, eyes meeting mine. "There's a rule amongst the gods, one we didn't think we needed to inform you seven about. But considering that you've done it, now we must." My teeth grit and I'm about ready to scream again.

"The rule goes like this. Elementals must not pour their magic powers into their fellow teammates." My anger vanishes and I feel my eyes widen, jaw-dropping open. Oh. "Why?" He scoffs, turning his head away from me and crossing his arms.

"The result is fatal, Kim! You can kill your teammate by giving them your element!" Shock hits me and I freeze in my tracks, staring at Soros who barely turns his head to look at me. "So, tell me, how exactly did you acquire Jungkook's element?" I gulp, putting my hands behind my back.

"Well, you see, that's a long story..." He cocks an eyebrow and slams his fist down on his throne. "We have plenty of time." My lips form a thin line and I glance around the throne room, a little stuck. Well, shit. This is fantastic. "Okay, maybe it's not that long-" He clears his throat and I nod.

"It was Jungkook's idea, alright? He wanted to give me a part of him and in return have a part of me. It seemed risky, but we took things slow, alright? He just hit me with his magic and it seeped into my veins and hit my heart." Soros' eyes narrowed and he shot a tendril at me.

Fire danced around my feet, burning the tendril before it could even think of getting closer to me. "And what happened to Jungkook?" I extended my hands, looking up at Soros with honest eyes. "I gave him a part of me: my ice and water elements. I only gave him a little bit because I didn't want something happening!"

"And then?" Soros asked. "And then it worked. He could use my ice magic as well as my water magic. His fire magic was still there and nothing truly changed besides the fact that he had two new elements." The reaction I received wasn't one I was expecting at all.

His eyes grew wide, wider than I had ever seen them before and his jaw fell open. "What?" He asked breathlessly, features written with shock. I nodded, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Yeah, it worked. He's fine. He can move, talk, use the magic powers just fine. What's the big deal?"

"The big deal?!" He screamed, startling me and causing me to fall backward. "The big deal is that he shouldn't be okay! When two humans share elements with one another, the result is fatal. That's why the magic powers aren't passed down from generation to generation, instead, Gods hand-pick humans!"

"So, what does this mean?" A hand ran down Soros' face, my heart racing quickly in my chest. Soros looked frustrated, but most importantly he looked like he didn't even have the answer for me. "How are you standing?" His tone is cold but there's still a tinge of care behind it. I glanced down at my feet and shrugged.

"I'm not sure what you mean." He stood, pointing to my figure as a whole. "What I mean is that putting two magic powers inside one human was dangerous enough. When you were able to take that, we figured it was pushing it. Yet, when you were able to possess my darkness magic, things changed."

"Three magic elements is a new record, one that no human could ever have. Three was the limit, Taehyung." I frowned, watching as he took one giant step towards me, standing directly in front of my frame. "Yet, within a day's worth of time, you return to my palace with four!"

"Do you understand what this means?" I shake my head because I don't. "No human can usually withstand three elemental powers. Pouring two into someone can make them dissipate into thin air. Yet here you are, standing before me and possessing four! Four, Taehyung!"

"So, what does that mean for me, Soros?" He sat back down on his throne, darkness swirling around him. "I don't know, Kim. There's never been a human who has been able to possess more than one power. Everyone who has tried has died on the spot." I gulped.

"Am I in danger?" His eyes met mine and I watched them soften from their angered look to a caring one. "Do you feel strained? Like, the magic inside of you is too much for you to handle?" I shook my head. Not at all. "Do you feel weak? Dizzy? Sick?" Again, no.

"Am I supposed to?" He laughs, shaking his head. "Probably, Taehyung. You shouldn't even be standing before me right now yet you are. You can control all four of them, but how?" I carefully walked towards his throne, using my water magic to push me up onto the armrest.

"What's going to happen to Jungkook?" He looked at me, sighing. "Is he really okay? There's nothing wrong with him and he's not in pain?" I shook my head. He's not. He's perfectly fine. "And you said he could use the elements you gave him? Both of them?" I nodded, sitting down on the armrest with my legs crossed.

"That's impossible. He shouldn't be able to. You two shouldn't have been able to transfer elements over to one another just like that! And even if you could, one of you were supposed to die." I tensed up, thinking back to when we exchanged our magics.

"Obviously that didn't happen, so what does that mean for us? Does this have anything to do with me being an Infinite?" He hummed, chin resting on his palm as he stared at the palace floor, clearly lost in thought. "It could possibly-" He stopped, eyes widening in realization.

"No way. That's impossible! It can't be!" He shouted, startling me again. "What?" I asked, a little breathless as my hands shook from the scare. "The myth..." He whispered, my head tilting. The myth? What? "No, it can't be. That's just some myth that was never even proven correct! How can that be it?!"

"What's this myth thing?" I ask, looking at Soros with confusion and curiosity. "It's..." He trails off, zoning out a bit as his eyes stare at the ground. "It's been around for centuries. Passed down century after century to the new gods that join the team, if you will." I nodded, watching him closely.

"The myth is about a Forbidden power. It's said to be unleashed only once something occurs, but the myth has never been proven true, despite it being around for centuries. No one has been able to prove that this myth is accurate, and because of that, us gods believe it won't ever be proven true." I frowned, tilting my head again.

"Forbidden magic? What's the magic?" There's a worry that fills Soros' eyes, something that wasn't there five minutes ago. Uh oh. That can't be good, right? "I don't think I should say." I shook my head, reaching out for him. "Please, I want to know, Soros." He took a deep breath, eyes meeting mine.

"We call it Demolition."

My eyes widened and I tensed up again, back straight and features contorted in shock. Demolition...? "It's a very powerful magic that's never been unleashed before, but according to the legends, it's no joke. It has the ability to wipe out millions, billions even. It's uncontrollable."

"Yet, according to the myth, whoever is granted access to that forbidden magic has it within them to control it. It banishes all evil if used correctly." Soros bit his lip, fiddling with his fingers while I just stared, too shocked to reply. Silence fell between us until I finally spoke.

"Who is it granted to?" His eyes scanned over me, a hand running over his face again. "The myth says two humans, which was why the gods never believed it in the first place. How could humans control power so strong? Especially when gods couldn't even control it themselves."

"Humans?" I asked quietly, seeing him nod. "The myth says that two humans will be granted the Forbidden magic named Demolition, and it'll be shared between them. When activated together, it can wipe out millions, good and evil, depending on how it's used." I nodded, listening. "The myth doesn't say when, or even how it'll be gifted to these two humans, but it says it'll happen."

"What made you even consider this an option? How does this have anything to do with Jungkook and I?" This is when he looked at me, his gaze so intense it scared me. "Humans don't have the ability to share elemental magics, yet you and Jungkook did. And it worked. There's something that doesn't add up, and I think I've figured out why."

"Which means that this myth, the one that we gods believed to be bullshit, is true." I cocked an eyebrow. "How do you know that?" Soros looked at me, his eyes filled with certainty. "Because there are only specific types of humans that are given abilities regular humans aren't."

"And what might these humans be, Soros?" He snickered, arms crossed over his chest.

"Soulmates."

There's more to the story now, haha! What does this mean for both Jungkook and Taehyung? How will they react to the title of Soulmates?

And what about the Forbidden magic? Will they have access to Demolition?

I purple you 💜
