Taehyung's POV
Jungkook's and I's powers hit the giant dead on, sending him flying back as we came to a stop and readied ourselves for the next attack. A loud grunt was heard, shaking the buildings, pieces of the building coming apart, and tumbling down.
I pulled Jungkook back, my magic shielding us as the building slowly fell apart. "This is the plan," I said, doubling up my magic so that we wouldn't get hit by the falling rubble. "Find that fuel that ignites your fire and defeat this monster for good." His eyes widened, lips parting open.
"What about you?" He whispered just loud enough for me to hear. I smiled, kissing his lips and letting my magic pour from my fingertips. "Providing your backup, cupcake." My magic shield disappeared, water and ice shooting from my palms and aiming straight up for the falling buildings.
"Defeat this giant, Jungkook! I believe in you!" I shouted, turning the ground into ice and watching as Jungkook nodded and took off running. Fire surrounded his whole body, pouring from his hands as the dragon began to form again. A roar was heard, but my back was turned to Jungkook.
He can do it, I believe in him.
My focus remained on the torn down buildings that began to fall piece by piece. A roar, much louder than the fire dragon's, was heard, my head snapping around and landing on the giant. He was bigger now, eyes glowing a mixture between red and orange.
His foot raised up, slamming right back down on the ground. The city shook, a growl seeming to form in my throat. My wings were back before I knew it, feet pushing me off the ground as I flew towards Jungkook, grabbing him before the floor could split open.
"Drop me on the giant!" He shouted over the rumbles, a smirk already placing itself on my face. "That's the plan, sweetheart." I flew upwards, spiraling, and planting a quick kiss to his forehead. "Now go! I believe in you!" I shouted, fire shooting from his palms upwards.
I smirked even wider, shooting ice-cold water from my left palm and fingertips, hearing the sizzle and watching the smoke cover the area. I was flying in the air, levitating a good thirty feet off the ground. Ice formed at the base of the buildings, creating support beams to hold up the ruins.
Water shot from my hands, pushing up the massive bricks, keeping them in the air before they could fully fall to the ground. I could make out the orange glow from within the thick layer of smoke, like a flashing light over and over. It was Jungkook.
"Look out!" He shouted, a beam of fire sent straight up and almost hitting me. I cursed, dodging it, the smoke layer disappearing. The giant was badly beaten up, fire burning his legs, the dragon was long gone. Jungkook was breathing heavy, eyes bright red, lava dripping from his curled fingertips.
"Defeat him!" I roared, letting my dark magic fly, hitting the buildings, and standing them upright. He nodded, charging at the giant with a yell, dodging the attack sent at him and jumping up, the fire used as boosters to send him flying. I watched his every move, lava pouring from his palms like a volcano, hitting the giant right in the eyes.
A scream echoed throughout the ruined city, Jungkook's lava never seeming to stop. The giant shook and screamed, finally just bursting into nothing but ashes. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, slowly lowering myself to the ground, my darkness magic disappearing as well as the water evaporating.
The fire burned at the street, Jungkook's body coming down from his position in the air. I raced forward, catching him, the two of us falling to the ground with a thud. I groaned, holding him tightly, hearing him giggle. "I don't know how you do it, but this shit is exhausting."
I laughed, planting a kiss to his forehead, hearing him giggle once more. "Come on, we can't lay here forever. The portal is open and we have to get going." He nodded, standing up on shaky legs, his hands gripping onto my shirt for support. I let my wings appear again, grabbing hold of Jungkook and flying towards the center.
Then, we fell in, both Jungkook and I teleported into another city, similar to the ones we came from. We fell from the sky, the two of us spinning as we fell. "Make wings out of your fire, I'm sure you can do it!" I shouted over the wind around us, seeing his eyebrows shoot up in shock. "Just think of what you want! It'll come true! Let your magic connect with you!"
My wings returned, wrapping around my body as I watched Jungkook. His eyes closed shut, eyebrows furrowed in concentration. We were plummeting towards the ground faster each second, my heart racing in my chest. Come on, Jungkook. You can do this.
Then, heat appeared next to me, wings as giant as mine forming from his back and wrapping around him as well. His eyes were open, his wings twitching with anticipation to fly. I laughed, my mouth open in shock but almost excitement. I opened my wings, diving straight down towards the street, getting ready to fly.
I grabbed Jungkook's hand, looking him in the eyes as we both readied ourselves to soar. "Follow my lead." He nodded in an understanding, our bodies coming a good ten feet off the ground before we bottomed out, flapping our wings to make us fly. A breathless laugh escaped Jungkook's lips, the two of us speeding through the streets with torn down buildings.
"Let's find our friends!" He nodded again, letting his wings take him forward, the two of us searching the city for our friends. My eyes finally landed on someone, two giants nearby and following him. Yoongi. I could barely make out the smirk that painted his features, his body turning invisible as he ran down the streets.
Jungkook tugged on my shirt, the two of us landing on a building, staring at the ground below. He pointed to the street, my eye catching the sight of Hoseok, sparks flying from his fingertips and clouds forming from above him. I smirked, staring up at the clouds that circled the surrounding area.
"Let's make it storm," I whispered more to myself than anyone, seeing Jungkook's eyes widen. I aimed my palm in the air, the clouds beginning to darken, turning a dark grey. Jungkook caught on, lightning shooting down from the sky, thunder heard from above.
"The sooner we get these giants killed, the sooner we can finish our training. The time is running out and we still need to find Jimin, Namjoon, and Jin. Let's hurry." Jungkook nodded, opening up his wings. "I'll help Yoongi, you help Hoseok." With a nod, the two of us jumped from the edge of the roof and took off flying.
I let my water magic turn from ice cold to boiling hot, watching the clouds above circle and change from white to dark grey. I dove down towards Hoseok, a giant appearing from around the corner. Ice formed from the ground up, encasing the giant's feet and pinning his hands behind his back.
Then I landed, shaking the ground with the force I held, snickering as my eyes met Hoseok's. "I thought you could use some backup, my dear friend," I spoke, my arm turning to ice once more, waves of water forming behind me, circling around my body. He laughed, lightning sparks wrapping around his legs and arms.
"I could use the help, my friend." I snickered, my waves of water sent at the giant, drenching it. Hoseok caught on, snickering as his lightning shot from his body, some flying down from the clouds above. "Hope you like being electrocuted!" Hoseok shouted, the lightning hitting the giant.
He screamed, the ice keeping him from moving. His body jolted, shaking as the lightning pierced its skin and ran through him. Then, just as the giant had did with Jungkook, it burst into ashes, both Hoseok and I smiling. We high fived, sharing a quick hug then turning to the other two giants following Jungkook and Yoongi.
"You up for another challenge?" I teased, darkness circling around my legs and arms, riding up my face and painting the right side of my face black. Hoseok nodded, smirking as the two of us ran forward. I slid on my ice, skating towards Jungkook, blocking him from the giant's attack with an ice shield.
"Need some cover?" I teased, watching his smirk return to his face. Fire shot up into the air, my waves hitting it and creating more smoke. Ice covered the ground, the four of us skating over it, planning our attacks on the enemy. There were two giants and four of us, meaning teams of two would be our best bet.
"Yoongi and Jungkook, think you can take out the left one?" I asked, sliding to a stop, darkness dancing around my fingertips. They nodded, their movements barely able to be seen through the thick layer of smoke that clouded our vision. I smirked, my eyes turning darker with a tinge of blue.
"Let's end this!" I roared, darkness shooting off my body. They shouted in return, taking off in a different direction from Hoseok and I. I smirked wider, meeting Hoseok's glowing eyes, the two of us getting ready to attack. I skated on the ice, heading for the giant's feet, encasing them in my unbreakable ice.
Then, I jumped up, letting my flesh change to ice, wings returning. I flew right up to the giant's jaw, punching him hard, watching his head get knocked back. Hoseok jumped from the building, lightning bolts raining down from his body, shaking the city.
Screams were heard again, the giant let out roars of anger and pain. My ice traveled upwards, preventing his legs from moving. Tendrils of darkness pinned his hands, digging deep into the ruined streets, preventing him from getting loose.
Hoseok continued to shock him, water pouring from my hands onto the giant, sizzles heard. The smoke began to vanish, granting us the sight of the other giant. Jungkook was on fire, literally. The fire was on his arms and legs, encasing him completely. Yoongi was invisible, his movements barely able to be seen if you concentrated hard enough.
Our giant vanished, ashes falling from the sky, my rain finally pouring down. The ice didn't melt but my tendrils of darkness seeped back into my body, my wings keeping me in the air. I aimed my hand over at Jungkook, whispering under my breath. "Shield him from the rain."
Yoongi worked his magic, spirits rising from the depths, an army forming behind him. I watched with wide eyes, finally able to see his true power. Then, the spirits charged forward, rushing through the giant's body and attacking him. Jungkook poured lava at its feet, more screams heard.
When the ashes appeared again and the rain finally ended, we raced towards the middle, the portal open once more. Jungkook and I grabbed onto Hoseok and Yoongi, jumping through the portal and falling from the air again. We spotted Namjoon, Jin, and Jimin, the three of them working together.
"He's using his blinding light," I muttered, holding onto Hoseok as we flew throughout the city. The light began to shine, my eyes forced into a squint. I followed Jungkook's orange glow as best as I could, my darkness magic shielding me as we flew.
When we landed, the seven of us reunited, more giants spawning in the streets. There was one of each magic, seven different magic giants. I snickered, pressing my back to Jungkook's, reaching out to grab my friend's hands.
"We work together!" I shouted, the giant's charging right at us, the seven of us getting ready to attack, "This is our last fight, so let's make it count, Elementals!" Namjoon shouted, his light blinding all of us, the stomps of the giant's heard close by.
"Let's finish this!"
