Kara looked around the cafeteria. Alex wasn't visible around the mob of students. Sighing she began to move to an empty table when she heard a call.

"Kara! Over here!"

Kara turned. Alex was sitting at a table with another girl. Her short dark brown hair was pulled into two pigtails on the side of her head. Kara began moving through the mob over to the table, and sat down.

"Abigail, this is Kara, Kara, this is Abigail." Alex said.

"Hi, Im Abigail." Said Abigail.

"Hi." Kara said, pulling up her best defensive skills.

"So, Kara, how did you get to Willowdale?" Abigail asked.

"I got expelled from every other school." Kara said bluntly.

Abigail laughed.

"I like her. She's a sarcastic type." She said.

Stung, that she didn't believe her, she said, 

"Im serious."

Abigail looked surprised.

"Really?" Alex gasped.

"Yep. It wasn't my fault of course, strange things happened to multiple people I knew, specifically my bullies." Kara said, sighing inwardly.

Abigail narrowed her eyes.

"What kind of happenings?" She asked, making eye contact with Alex.

"Attacks, almost supernatural. One time they caught on fire, another, couldn't get air into their lungs, though they weren't choking. And one nearly drowned, surrounded by a block of water stuck to their heads." Kara explained.

"Well," Alex started.

"We know why and how these 'incidents' happened." Abigail finished.

"How?" Kara asked.

"You are an Elemental."
