Rebecca took up Lana's duties for the meantime. Liam visited Lana everyday to keep a check on her health.

The housemaid Mary took regular care of Lana as she regained back her health. She soon shifted back to David's house. With a goodbye, Ethan as both the girls entered the cab.

As the car turned around the corner, Mr. Q fixed his hidden view on them.

Liam hurried towards Jennifer 's office as he banged open the door. He walked towards her office desk and punched his fist on the table. Jennifer looked up at him with a scared look.

"MS. JENNIFER, WHY IS THERE NO INFORMATION.....SIMPLY NO  INFORMATION ABOUT THE JOB I GAVE YOU TO FIND ABOUT A WEEK AGO?!"

"I...umm....I'm....I'm so sorry Sir. I'll send the details to you within five minutes...I'm really very sorry sir." Jennifer stuttered. She has never seen her boss so angry.

"I want it within three minutes or you're fired, Ms. Jennifer. Your time starts NOW."
Everyone in the office knew about how strict Liam is when it comes to work.
Liam turned around and left. She typed the details as soon as she could as she pressed the 'print' button on the computer. She ran with the sheet to Liam's office and opened the door. Keeping it on the table, she panted looking at him hopefully.  He told her to leave without having a second glance at her. He went through the names and expiry dates.

David had prepared corn soup to boost up Lana. Hailey went to sleep, having not slept soundly for two days due to Lana's illness. Lana sat on the kitchen island eating the soup and watching David make dinner. After gossiping for a while, she hopped down and went to the terrace for some fresh air. The city of Ucambo was visible with the dim lights around the city which seemed like stars in the night sky. She inhaled deeply as she heard a 'meow' behind her.

A black cat with dark purple eyes stared up at her. With her frail cold hands, she caressed the little creature, putting it on her lap. The cat played with its tail, looking back at her again. The cat jumped off her lap as it walked away towards the darkness, away from Lana's view. She stood up as she looked back at the bright city.

The cat transformed into its human form. He pulled over his dark hoodie over his head as he watched Lana's every move cautiously. He jumped off the roof silently on the deserted street, fading into the dark and empty pathway of the Ridge Valley Street.

Lana turned around and locked the terrace door and returned back to her room. Hailey has just woken up as she yawned, glancing at the clock. Realising that she slept for four hours straight, she smiled sheepishly at her. Lana could not hold back as she smiled at her. Arranging the documents for their next working day, they sat on their bed. The clock in the room struck ten as the door bell rang up.
