"Love you mom for insisting me to attain this wedding" I mumbled under a single heavy breath that I have released after Mom has left.

Few minutes ago

Neela Aunty has taken Aryan to have him the lunch as soon as the ceremony ended along with some other guests to the hall. So I haven't got time to explain him about us but once we'll be back home I'll talk to him. Well this time isn't suitable either to pull out such sensitive talk to have. A proper space is needed to make him understand me without any interruption.

So I was chatting with my cousins sitting there around the corridor attached to Gurudwara. I saw Mom motioned me to come to her.

" Tillu maine bahut socha" Mom dragged me to a corner slightly glancing her gaze around and sat on the concrete fence. Holding my left arm she made me sit next to her.

"She is not much beautiful to make a good pair with Dev I have noticed" she raised her brows and averted her gaze somewhere forward. I saw her expression has changed immediately weirdly good, even I'm confused what that expression exactly meant.

Nice or suspicious or mischievous.

I followed her gaze afar.
I saw Avni wiping Aryan's face carrying him in her arms and Aryan looked sleepy, anytime he would fall asleep on his mom's arm.

"Look at her she looks so clumsy" Mom scrunched her nose showing her disgust towards Avni.

There was a silence. My eyes didn't leave her a single moment.

"She is responsible" I broke the silence.My voice was deep.

"She is not slim" Mom immediately responded.

"She is graceful" I instantly stated.

"She is single mother. She won't be a good girlfriend."

"She is better as a person" I sounded defensive.

"She won't fall in love with a guy ignoring her responsibilities towards Aryan" Mom continued.

"I haven't any rush." My voice sounded determined.

"Even Aryan wouldn't ever accept any other person sharing his Mom."

"Aryan has already accepted me as his Dadda"

"What!!" Mom shouted and I flinched breaking my dwan I was in staring at Avni. And then I realised she has gone and immediately I closed my eyes and my eyes grew bigger opening them instantly and my head snapped in it's own towards my Mom.

Shutting my eyes I ran my fingers through my hair being embarassly nervous.

"See I told you. You never know you shall be meeting your dreamgirl here." Mom shrugged smiling groofily.
"Though I wasn't much sure at that time but partly I had guessed it." and she further added much confidently.

Mom was amused when I had to tell her what Aryan has called me and in a brief I told her the conversations we had shared till now. And now I got to know that it was her plan to give me such palpidition so that I could get irked and throw my heart out being super frustrated.

Woow what a plan.
More disgusting and less defective. I must say. And the worst part is she has succeeded.
Mom said she likes Avni and her every word was for me not Dev.

I'm not that shy type nor meek.
Purposely not wasting much time I spiled out everything to my Mom including some passing details of our past encounters.

"Ooh so she is angry with you still!!!" Mom asked narrowing her eyes at me when I finished.

"Hummm" I sighed averting my gaze blankly.

"Did she like you" Mom asked and I immediately pulled back my gaze at her.

"Ali told me once but..I haven't seen..I mean" I licked my lips noncomprehensively.

"As usual you never noticed"Mom smiled softly and I gave a tight smile before she held my both hands.

"Tillu you really like her" She looked into my eyes.

I raised my eyes up at my Mom's face away our clasped hands.

"It's beyond that, Something very strong" the moment I said this I saw Mom's stunned face. Blinking her eyeslids couple of times she stared at me. My heart started pumping faster.

"I have never felt for any girl, ever, the way I have started feeling for her these days.." I stated in a truthful voice.

"Ttillu" she stammered and I stopped her. Today I would say, there wouldn't be as auspicious place as this I would have keep my heart nude.

"You kept fixing me with so many girls to date them, to get mingle with them, to chat with them over texts, calls.
Aside everything I had always planned how to get over them. I hadn't felt a bit interested to a single damsel you people had introduced to me whilst relationship was far away to build up. I just went to meet them because you and Bebe always insisted me to do so. I was actually stuck between my heart and mind. Sometimes I thought may be you guys are right I should open up more but trust me I tried but always ended up following my heart. It has never patched up with my mind. And I couldn't have directed myself to go with the flow my life takes me anywhere. I couldn't" I held her hand tightly.
"I'm more than sure now Mom, Avni is my destiny. There is no point to sit and think why we felt apart, why we have wasted so much time in past disliking or distancing eachother, or if she had ever liked me.
Because now I can surely say this; we always been made for eachother that's the reason we met again,even we both are still single...
Aren't these enough vibes to get two lost souls together!! " I gulped my dried throat matching my Mom's astound gaze at me.

"I have never been this much opened did I!!" I chuckled nervously looking at her state.

Breaking her speechless mode Mom had just opened her mouth to speak but we were interrupted by Papa.

"Tum Maa bete ka hogaya ho to chaley!!!everyone has left for lunch" Papa called us coming few steps closer. listening to him we both roamed our eyes around and saw all the guests have just passed before us towards the hallway where lunch has been organised.

"What were you talking about?
It looked quite serious from back there." I heard Papa asked Mom heading forward.

It's not any compitition I'm on with Avni that I need Aryan's help to let her down or loose. The bond between me and Aryan was instant. We got along with eachother purely without any pretention and planning.It just something clicked between us and we continued looking for eachother in the process. I like talking and playing with him and I have seen him excited always seeing me around.

And now over everything it's confirmed that he is wanting me as someone very special in his life.

I was thinking all this hovering on the balcony fence standing just outside my room door. Facing the lawn I was exhaling the smokes through my nose holding a cigarette between my two fingers supported my arms on the railing. I heard a clicking sound of a door open and my head immediately snapped at the direction. And I looked over my shoulder, someone opening the door very swiftly.

I expected Avni to show up and undoubtedly my eyes paused upward when I heard her room door opening sounds but instead my gaze travelled downwards when a little face peeping was seen outside and smiled looking at me ear to ear.

"Aryan" I sighed and darted the half burnt cigarette inside the trash in corner straightening my body forward. He ambled towards me.

"Don't you know!! smoking is injurious to health!!!." he raised and leaned his head to his right slightly and crossed his arms across his chest, he asked me narrowing his eyes.
The sunset hue is falling on his skin leaving his face in yellowish orange shine.

"Sorry" inhaling deeply I held my ears and next moment pulled him in my arms.

"If Mom would have seen you smoking she must have scolded you by now" he said putting his left arm around my neck.

"That's what I want" I pulled his nose gently and smiled.

Rubbing his nose he said "you want to get scolded by my Mom!!" He looked surprised.

"Come let's go I need to say you something very important" I carried him inside my room.
He looked suspicious staring at me when I bring him down and keep Aryan sit on the bed and knelt in front of him.

"About!!" He asked looking at me questionably, our face was in same level.

"About us" I held his hand saying calmly.

"Us!!" he knitted his brows.

"Me and your Mom" I bit my bottom lip sighing deeply. I was bit nervous being tensed, would I be able to make him understand or will end up creating something very complex.

Avni

Returning back into Khanna Mansion everyone got into their room to freshen up and had some rest.
Then around 8pm night we need to leave for reception party at the groom's place.

I had dozed off.

When!!

I didn't remember.
I opened my eyes flipping to clear my blurry vision, I whirled my back and saw there was no sign of Arya beside me.
I sighed shutting my eyes in dissatisfaction.

None could keep him laid down on the bed once he open his eyes. He would jumped off the mattress the second he will wake up..

He must have gone downstairs.

I pulled my back up and sat leaning against the headboard.

Before I have come upstairs inside my room here carrying sleeping Arya in my arms, Mom told me to lay him in her room but I knew the moment I would keep him on the bed mattress and leave him he would get up and start his naughty stuffs running around the whole house. So I had brought him here and lying beside him I went into a deep nap.

I unlocked my ph taking it from the bedside table and went to my gallery. I have started swiping right on the screen to see the photos we have clicked today.
While swiping all the pics my finger again stopped on that particular selfie that I have seen almost more than thrice till now zooming a specific part. Me and Arya took this click when we were outside the parking lot before we got into the car leaving for gurudwara.

He quickly stood up on a plastic chair and called me when I was about to get into the car Juhi was inside along with Bubbly Aunty and some of her cousins. I went to him and stood closer to Arya our height levels matched perfectly.
I pouted looking at the cam. Arya wrapped his right arm around my neck and with another one he made the horn sign🤘and pouted cutely.

And he was there few steps away behind us with his family getting inside another car. Before he could have opened the door our timing matched and unplanningly he got into our selfie screen not much from afar.
On back his face displayed slight flush letting his cheeks burn red is quite visible staring at me through the screen.

I had seen it scrolling the gallery when Arya left me walking towards him whilst we have assembled inside the prayer hall for the ceremony.

And unknowingly blush grown on my face looking at him when he wrapped his both arms around Arya and then Neil's gaze fell on me.

I couldn't control myself not to blush recalling the way he stared at me at the parking lot.
Though I was so irked on him for the morning incident but he has still this effect on me after so many years now.

I'm still irritatingly blushing and rubbing my forehead.
