'Elena?' I called out to the girl with curly black hair sitting next to me. She looked at me with a wide smile.

'Yeah?'

'I...I don't think I can do this.' I mumbled, my voice shaking with nervousness. This was the first, and possibly last, chance I'd get to achieving my dream of being a singer; and I couldn't mess it up.

'You'll be fine!' She replied cheerfully, grinning. Both of us were here after auditioning for SM through the everysing app. But it just didn't feel right.

'Jeon Ae Sook?' A woman with black hair tied back into a bun and a headset around her head called out. I stood up immediately.

'It's your turn.' She said quickly, before rushing off again.

Already?

I was going to fail this...

'Good luck!' I heard Elena's voice ring out, and I looked down at her.

'Thanks...' I mumbled, passing her a shaky smile and drawing in a deep breath before making my way to the stage.
