Tutorial 1: Cover (from basics)
Thank you for the great support to this book. There are total 25 names dropped in the previous chapter (as I'm writing this) and it has been just one day. I'm really glad for this.
Our first tutorial is here.
As this is the first tutorial, the basics of cover making will be in detail.
However, I will not provide the basics (like dimension and app narration) in the next tutorials. The other details will be there.
The cover we are going to make today (which I just posted in Crowned; it was an order) is :-

App I use for cover making : Canva
(If you are proficient in any other app, then you can use it. But I'm proficient in this one and I'll be using this.)
Step 1 : Open Canva and tap on the '+' icon to create a design.
Step 2 : A page will open where you have to click on "Custom Size"
Step 3 : Another page will open where you have to fill in the dimension measurements. You gotta fill 512 & 800 respectively. Then click on "Create new design" and a page will open.
(Steps 1, 2 & 3)↷

Step 4 : Click on the "Gallery" option given below.
Step 5 : Select the picture you want to use and tap on "add picture" to insert it on the cover page.
Step 6 : Expand the picture on the frame by using its corner handles.
(Steps 4, 5 & 6)↷

Step 7 : Click on the "text" option given below. Choose your font and write your title, subtitle, author's name, etc. Reminder : Choice of font really matters for the overall look of the cover. So, choose wisely.
(The title for this cover was "Illusion of Love." So, I wanted to add an elegant font. For the words "Illusion" & "Love" I used Huova font. For the word "Of" I used The Nautigal font. For the Author name I used League Sparton font. You can search them in "text" option.)

Here, people think the cover is done. But, no, it's not. It lacks something. It lacks the enhancement of title and other texts. If you observe the cover, the text is not standing out much. The cover credit and author's name is almost blending in the background. It's a negative point for the cover. Let's change this.
This is my trick to enhance the text and make it stand out from the cover. I don't know if anybody will tell you their tricks and secrets of the covers, but I'm here.
Step 1 : Click on the text you want to make it look like standing out (or want to prevent it from blending with the background).
Step 2 : Click on the duplicate sign, i.e. the third sign you see in the sequence when you tap on that particular text. This is done to make a copy of that text.

Step 3 : Now, again tap on the previous text and then tap on the "Effects" option given below. Scroll right until you see the "neon" option and click on it.↷

Step 4 : Click on the "×" sign on the right hand side of effects to exit the "effects" option. Then, click on the "Colour" option (the text should stay selected) and tap on the black colour.

Step 5 : You can see that the previous text is now "Neon black" giving it a shady look. Now, tap on the copied text and place it on the edited text.

Step 6 : Here, you will see the difference. How the text is now standing out from the background. Repeat the steps on all the texts you want to edit like this. Now, see the improvement.↷
(I did the steps on the title, author's name as well as credit)

(It might not be that much visible because of the blurry pictures, thanks to wattpad, but you will be able to see the difference when you do that yourself.)
We are done with the cover.
It was a basic cover because it was your first tutorial.
Now, you can also change the background picture and make various designs. Like these :-

Thank you for checking this book out!
I'll be back with another tutorial. Till then....... PRACTICE PLEASE!
Buh-bye!
