"So, how can I see them?" Yoona asked, as Jimin lead her out of the house and onto the street.
"With your eyes, obviously," He snickered, causing her to roll her eyes but smile none the less.
"Same as how you can see every human," Jimin gestured with his unoccupied hand to the few people walking out on the street. It was then that Yoona became conscious of the fact that Jimin was still holding her hand.
She let go abruptly, and both of them blushed; Jimin scratched the back of his neck whilst Yoona looked elsewhere.
"Ah, sorry-" He started.
"-Don't worry it's nothing," Yoona nervously giggled, missing Jimin's very quiet whisper of "To you."
"So they can't see us or hear us then, is that right?" Yoona questioned, and Jimin nodded. To test this, she quickly walked over to a group of girls stood at the corner of the street, and waved her hands in front of their faces.
"Hellloooooo?" She sang, and Jimin cutely chuckled, covering his mouth with his hand as he grabbed her and dragged her away.
"Now that you've confirmed, shall we head over?" He smiled, and Yoona grinned. "Yes!"
The pair of them stood in front of a medium sized detached house, with a slanted roof and a little front lawn. And in that front lawn was a petite women, kneeling in the freshly cut grass as she planted little marigolds around the edge of the lawn, those of the same gingery orange colour that Jimin's hair used to be.
"Is that your mother?" Jimin whispered, and Yoona nodded, unable to say anything in case she choked on her words; she could already feel the lump forming in her throat.
Suddenly the front door opened, and out scampered a little boy, about 13 or 14 years old, handing the women a glass of water. The women chuckled lightly, ruffling the boy's hair as he knelt beside her, helping her to plant the rest of the flowers.
"My little brother," She smiled, watching as a tall man stood at the doorway, fondly watching his wife and son. "A-and my father."
Jimin smiled. "They look like a wonderful family."
Yoona nodded. "They...they don't remember me do they?" She muttered, already knowing the answer but waiting for the boy to speak. He didn't, instead he simply shook his head.
Yoona stepped forward, kneeling down to the level of her mother and her brother, lovingly observing as they continued to garden oblivious to their ex-daughter who was sat in front of them.
"I love you," She mumbled, looking at all three of them before standing up again, wiping away a few stray tears and standing beside Jimin again, who had stepped back respectfully to allow Yoona some space.
"Thank you Jimin," She muttered, and he didn't say again, he just took her hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. She had to admit the warmth of his hand in hers was comforting, to say the least. Although, there was still that little nagging feeling.
So she gently let go.
"Let's go?" She smiled up at him, and he smiled back with nod.
The pair of them were soaring through the air, something Yoona was now familiar with but at the same time not. It was a surreal feeling, to be able to glide through the air and actually 'touch the clouds', something a kid would only dream of. She smiled, glancing back at her silvery grey wings behind, admiring how aesthetically pleasing they were.
But, Jimin was the real beauty.
His pale cream aura radiated in the most pleasing of ways, and his dark hair whipped backwards due to the force of the wind, exposing his forehead. His wings flapped gracefully above him, covered in layers of cream and brown feathers, each one embellished with a gold tip.
Park Jimin really was stunning.
"Yah, be careful Yoona," Jimin suddenly grabbed her arm to pull her to to the side as she almost collided with someone else who was flying in the opposite direction.
"You know, rather than look at my handsome face, if you faced forwards you could help to avoid accidents," He smirked, and Yoona laughed.
"Sorry, it's just difficult not to," She played along, but turned back to the front. She missed the very faint colour that brushed over Jimin's cheeks.
They arrived back at the house within fifteen minutes, landing safely on the ground (she'd perfected it by now) and walking back into the house.
"Thank you Jimin," She smiled and said softly, and he gave a smile back and tugged on her ponytail gently.
"Anytime."
The two of them slipped off their shoes and headed for the kitchen, pausing after spotting all the members seated around the table with serious faces.
"There you are! Hurry, sit down," Namjoon commanded, and the two obeyed. Yoona slipped into the seat beside Jungkook, who gave her a brief pointed look before breaking eye contact.
She frowned; she was going to have to talk to him about it later. No doubt it was because she went out with Jimin.
"Okay so, I was just saying that I've spoken to manager hyung and he has given us a break from schedule until we get Yoongi hyung back. Which is good because now we can spend more time-"
Namjoon's voice was cut off by a loud ringing coming from Taehyung's phone.
With a confused frown, Taehyung grabbed it from his pocket.
"Unknown number," He muttered, before pressing accept and putting it on speaker.
"Hello."
That one word was enough to make every member stiffen in their seat, and even though the menacing voice was unfamiliar, Yoona could take an educated guess by looking at the expressions on all of their faces.
"Isn't it good to hear my voice again?"
There was a sugary giggle, underlying with sickly venom.
"Do you want to speak to your friend?"
"Yoongi hyung..." Hoseok whispered, leaning forward slightly, as the others waited with bated breath.
"I'll take that as a yes," Melantha cackled, before there was a loud slapping sound and a sudden yelp that was extremely familiar.
"Yoongi!" Jin stood up, fuming. The others were gasping and shouting down the phone in protest, telling her to stop whatever she was doing.
"Aw look, they're worried for you, Suga," They could easily envisage the smirk that would be covering her face at this moment in time.
"Don't touch him," Jungkook snarled, and they heard a pause and then a soft giggle.
"Hello, Jungkookie, it's nice to hear from you again!"
Yoona turned to face her boyfriend and grabbed his hand, giving it a squeeze.
They didn't need another episode like last time, and so she kept checking his eyes to make sure they weren't darkening or they'd be in trouble. Luckily, he seemed okay, giving Yoona a gentle squeeze back as he closed his eyes, taking a deep breathe and exhaling.
"Here, let's have a word from Yoongi, shall we?"
They all went silent, holding their breath for the sound of Yoongi's voice, when suddenly there was a crackle and then a deep strangled voice.
"Guys! Don't trust-"
"Oops! That's three words, didn't I only say one word?"
"Don't hurt him!" Jimin stood up, banging his fists on the table as angry tears pooled in his dark eyes. Namjoon gently grabbed his shoulder and told him to sit, before turning back to the phone.
"What do you want?"
There was a short laugh, before it died out.
"Me? I just want you to prepare for what's coming," She was smiling, they could tell by the tone of voice.
"And what is coming?" Namjoon continued, trying not to allow his voice to waver.
There was a sinister laugh, before one single word was spoken before she cut the phone.
"Hell."
"Shit." Hoseok slumped in his chair, running his hands through his hair. Jimin and Taehyung had their heads in their hands whilst leaning on the table, and Namjoon and Jin were looking at each other worriedly. Jungkook was simply staring at the table top with no expression, and Yoona sat biting her lip.
They were all thinking the very same thing.
Who was it that they couldn't trust?
