~Yoona Point of View~
The eight of us were sat in the living room.
Namjoon, Jin, and Hoseok were seated on the three seater sofa, I was in the single seater, Jimin and Taehyung were huddled on the two seater sofa and Jungkook was sat cross legged on the floor resting against Taehyung's legs.
Whilst everyone else wore a neutral expression, Namjoon and Yoongi wore one of worry - eyebrows furrowed, biting of lips.
"So...?" Jimin started, clearly eager to know the reason behind the little meeting. Namjoon glanced at Yoongi who gave a little nod, and turned to face us. Well, me.
"Yoona."
"Hm?" I sat up straighter in my seat, an uneasy feeling settling in my stomach. This didn't sound like it would be good news...
"Well... I guess it's time for you to know more than you do at present." He stood up from his place, running a hand through his hair.
"The reason you're being trained everyday is because a war is approaching. You know this, correct?"
I gulped but nodded.
"So it's time for you to know who is behind it."
Namjoon's frown became even larger, and I knew this wouldn't be a pleasant story.
"It started exactly 4 years ago. Exactly 4 years ago, a girl came to us at the age of 16. Usually we only train human-borns, but for some reason we were asked to train her even though she was a pure-born-"
Jin must have seen my confused face as he interrupted the boy.
"Hold on Namjoon. A pure-born is what all of us seven are - our parents were 'Angels' and therefore from birth we have been what we are. However a human-born is what you are - an 'angel' with human parents, and human-borns only find out their identity at the age of 18," Jin explained.
"Oh," I nodded understandingly. Made sense.
"So, we accepted her in, and diligently trained her for two years. Within those two years, she learned quickly and rapidly became one of most powerful students we'd ever had. But, something clicked after she turned 18," Namjoon sighed, pacing back and forth as he explained, as if he was giving a presentation.
"She became hungry for power. She wanted more, more bloodshed, more evil, more killing. Punching bags wasn't enough, she wanted to punch people; stabbing dummies wasn't enough, she wanted to stab people. She enjoyed it a little too much."
"So we tried to calm her down, to calm her desire for death. But, as expected, her corrupted mind took over and she ran away from here, taking with her..."
Namjoon looked over at Jungkook, as if asking for permission to continue. The said boy turned his head away to stare out of the window, but subtly nodded, indicating it was okay for the leader to tell the tale.
"...taking with her that blade and the 16 year old Jungkook."
The room seemed to plunge into silence after that. No sounds could be heard, as the majority of people glanced to the youngest male, who refused to meet anyone's eyes.
"How? W-what happened there?" I whispered. No one seemed to want to answer my question, fidgeting with articles of clothing or looking in the opposite direction.
"Physical abuse."
Eyes swivelled to the boy who spoke.
"She drugged me, and kidnapped me while I was unconscious. She injured me as she pleased. Using me as her test subject." Jungkook continued to stare at the ground, refusing to meet my eyes, and my heart went out to the boy. Not that I said anything - Jungkook was not the sort to wallow in self pity, and I didn't plan on pitying him, only supporting him.
"How did you come back?" I asked, a little more loudly than my previous question.
Jungkook just shrugged.
"I'll tell you all the details another time," He smirked but without any humour. Not wanting to push him, I simply nodded, even though my curiosity was burning to ask about his... condition.
"So basically 18 year old Jungkook and the blade came back 2 years later, so only last year." Yoongi picked up the story, and my gaze travelled to the older fluffy haired boy.
"Can you go get the sword, Yoona?" He asked, and Namjoon watched me keenly.
Oh no. No no-
"Yoona?" Namjoon questioned, and I flinched.
"Huh? Y-yeah," I slowly stood up, taking my time as I brushed off imaginary dirt from my jeans and smoothened my hair, before trudging up the stairs with heavy feet.
What do I do, what do I say-
"What the hell?!"
After opening the drawer with trembling fingers, my eyes grew like saucers. My hands picked up the blade which sat comfortably in the drawer as if it had never been moved. Not bothering to question it for now, I sped back downstairs again.
"Here," I handed it to Yoongi, who took it cautiously, his eyes ghosting over the small sword with obvious distaste.
"This belonged to her. When it came back with the... changed Jungkook," The said boy winced at this wording, "We tried our best to dispose of it, but whatever we tried failed - it wouldn't melt when we attempted to burn it; it would always reappear in one of our rooms if we threw it away. Eventually we just hung it up on the weapons wall, untouched... Until you came," He glanced up, his eyes showing an unreadable expression as he observed me.
I honestly didn't know what to say.
What was there to say?
Yoongi joined Namjoon in standing up, after passing the sword back.
"That blade has killed many, Yoona. But now you've chosen it, there's no going back."
I gulped, feeling the cold metal beneath my fingers, the hilt becoming almost too familiar already in my grip. But, rather than make me feel revolted, the blade's story only made me more determined, which Yoongi must have spotted as he chuckled, giving me a knowing look.
Silence enveloped the room again, until it was broken by the leader.
"So down to the main point... She's planning something big. Which means..." Namjoon gave me an apologetic look, and I felt as thought I already knew what he was about to say.
"You'll have to be put into action a lot sooner than we anticipated."
My guess was right.
And it would be a lie to say I wasn't scared.
"No!"
Two voices shouted in unison, as both boys stood up in protest. Jungkook and Jimin looked at each other, before turning back to the leader who was watching with a defeated expression.
"She's only just become one of us! And she's only just started training!" Jimin hissed.
"And it's too dangerous, you know how dangerous it is-" Jungkook seethed.
Namjoon held up a hand.
"I know. By soon, I didn't mean right now. I don't know for sure when you'll have to truly step in with us but for the next few weeks your training will increase heavily; it's for your own safety." He sighed, as if he wasn't too happy with the arrangement but there was nothing to be done about it. All the faces of the others were same, although Jimin's and Jungkook's contained a little more anguish.
My mind was still processing all the information. Never, ever would I have imagined this. Never.
That night, I lay in bed, still thinking about everything, the blade in my hands as I twisted it around and around, the red stone occasionally catching the moonlight and glinting.
There was something more to this, I was convinced.
How and why did this blade disappear like that and reappear?
What does she want exactly?
What happened to Jungkook?
How did Jungkook come back? And that too, with her sword?
And what was her name?
