Shapeshifting Witch (part 2)

I still sat down on my bathroom floor since last night, but I shakily got up and got dressed weakly and then I grabbed a piece of parchment paper and wrote a note to Theodore before I grabbed a cigarette smoked it and then turned into a bird flying out of my room but as I left I took down the barrier spell. Leaving the note on the table in case he tried again to get inside. Theodore was still sulking over his coffee when he heard a soft fluttering sound. He looked up just in time to see a small bird fly into his view and then disappear around a corner.

I kept flying not many people knew about my shifting forms or that I had the ability so it gave me an advantage as I flew through the castle and out towards the court heard before i reached the forbidden forest walking deeper into it after shifting back, I then sat down by this waterfall I'd found earlier last year and cried. He finished his coffee, still lost in thought about your note and the bird he saw. After a while, he decided to head back to your dorm to see if the bird had left anything behind. When he entered your room, he spotted the note on the table. He picked it up and read it aloud to his friends, who had followed him back.

"congratulations you've actually tried to get inside, not strong enough magic tho, but it's ok because you won't find me anytime soon, by the time you see this I'll probably be far away, not that you cared much, I just wanted to say I'm sorry for whatever I did that made you hate me so much for whatever I did to make you think I'm the enemy but if you really want to know who did this then you'll have to figure it out alone" it said

Theodore read the note silently, his expression unreadable. He crumpled the paper in his fist and tossed it onto the table.

"Fucking hell," he muttered under his breath

His friends exchanged glances, sensing that something was seriously off with him.

I knew no one would find me not for some time, so I left the forest making my way through a secret pathway and followed it out to the road where no one often went, following said road down paths until I reached the destination which was a small town where I had a friend that lived there whom might be helpful in making me get back home without trouble.

Days turned into weeks, and still no sign of you. Theodore was moody and irritable, his usual calm demeanor replaced with a constant scowl. He avoided his friends, preferring to keep to himself. He knew something was off about that note, something didn't add up.

I took a deep breath after having talked with my friend she informed me to return to Hogwarts instead of going home but I stayed a couple weeks with her before I decided on returning, once I was on school grounds I shifted back into my bird form and flew towards my dorm, I wasn't crying anymore I wasn't down on myself anymore, the bruises still lingered but I felt bitter I felt more closed off than before, but when I reached more dorm pansy and Daphne were there looking around sadly, I sat in my bird form watching them, they knew it was me but didn't speak much just smiled sadly.

Theodore had been avoiding your dorm, not wanting to face the reality that you were truly gone. He was still in a foul mood when he walked into the common room and saw Daphne and Pansy standing there, looking sad.

"What are you two doing?" He asked

I still in bird form sat behind pansy and Daphne hiding and refusing to shift back but Theodore didn't know about my shifting side so the girls sat there and said nothing.

Daphne sighed heavily, running a hand through her hair.

"We were just hoping she'd come back."

Pansy added quietly, "It's been three weeks, Theodore. No one's heard from her."

Something about their quiet sadness made his stomach twist uncomfortably.

I then flew to the other side of the room, perching on top of the stack of my untouched books for the term. Theodore's gaze followed the sudden movement of the bird, his eyes narrowing as he tried to place why the sight of it made him feel... off. He turned back to Pansy and Daphne, his voice coming out gruffer than intended.

"She's probably just off somewhere sulking."

good to know he still doesnt actually care about me, but honestly why was he in my dorm if he didn't care. Without thinking, Theodore walked over to the stack of books, his hand reaching out to gently tap the bird.

"Come here, you stupid thing." He expected the bird to fly away, but instead, it stayed put. Something about the creature's stillness made his heart race.

"Fuck..."

I didn't move right away just tilted my head before moving aside onto the desk nearest to the books. Theodore watched the bird's movement carefully. Something was wrong. He could feel it in his bones. He stepped closer to the desk, his voice dropping to a whisper.

"Have you seen Trinity?" Pansy and Daphne exchanged a glance, both shaking their heads.

"No..."

I Trinity evergreen was not going to speak to him or shift back.

*Theodore's hand reached out slowly, hesitantly, towards the bird perched on the desk. His fingers brushed against its feathers gently. Suddenly, he grabbed it firmly but carefully, holding it close to his face.

"Shift back right now," *he growled quietly,

"Or so help me..."

I pecked at him, angrily before wiggling out of his grasp and flying to the bathroom where I locked myself inside, shifting back panting as he had truly knocked the wind out of me.

Theodore stared at the closed bathroom door, the bird's angry peck still stinging his finger.

"Fucking hell," he muttered, realizing what had just happened.

He turned back to Pansy and Daphne, who were watching him with shocked expressions.

they knew that the bird was me but Theodore seemed to not know until he put the pieces of the puzzle together, I took deep breaths before unlocking the bathroom door but didn't make a move to leave it.

Theodore ran a hand through his hair, trying to process what had just happened.

"That's... that was her, wasn't it?" He looked back at the bathroom door, his voice dropping to a whisper.

"She's been here this whole time?" Pansy nodded slowly

I had been in bird form for a few days so when I shifted back just now it felt weird at first but I sighed softly and sat back on the ground of the bathroom. I said nothing just hummed sadly. Theodore's hand hovered over the doorknob, his mind racing. He could feel the anger and frustration building inside him, but also something else—worry.

"Trinity, open the fucking door," he demanded, his voice low but urgent.

"It's not locked" I said coldly

Theodore pushed the door open abruptly, his eyes scanning the bathroom until they landed on you sitting on the floor. He saw your messy hair, your sad humming, and your cold expression. Something snapped inside him. He stepped inside and slammed the door shut behind him.

"Look at me," he ordered roughly.

I flinched back at the sudden demand.
