Ruhani's POV

'What?' Dad shouted and he was pacing back and forth in the room.

'I mean... yo... how can you... how can you are pregnant?' she stuttered and tears were forming in my eyes looking at his face.

'Yes, Dad,' I said softly and looked at mom to see she was quiet.

'I never expected this princess. I don't even know what to say. You know, I loved you very much and never said no to anything you asked because I wanted my princess to be happy and get everything she wants as you and your mom are my world and I want you both to be happy always. But now, I don't even know what to say. I never expected my princess to go and sleep with someone. I think I failed as a father.'

'I am sorry Dad, you didn't fail as a father but I failed as a daughter, I loved him Dad, I loved him very much,' I said but the question he asked next was not the question I was going to answer

'Who is he?' he asked but I remained quiet.

I can't tell Dad who is he, if I tell he will never allow me to work for him and then Vikram will take over dad's company and I can't let that happen. I can't let him take over Dad's company. Dad worked hard to build it and he sold the company for me.'

No, Ruhani don't think about your past now .

'Where have you lost?' Dad shouted.

'I can't tell,' I said and he was really angry.

'What?' he shouted, again

'I will tell when the time is right.'

I will tell about it when after the contract is over and Vikram will give Dad his company back and go to Bangalore.

Oh my god! What will happen if Dad goes to Bangalore to confront Vikram. Then he will come to know about the baby. After what he said to me, I will never tell him about the baby but if he asks about it I will not lie to him.

Shit! How will I hide the baby bump after few months?

'So fuckinng fantastic,' Dad yelled and I was really afraid as this is the first time he cursed in front of me.

'Now, we will come to know about the baby when you think the time is right. You came and suddenly shocked us by saying you are pregnant and now you are not telling who the guy is and, does he know?' 

'No. He left me,' I whispered.

For the first time, Dad was angry at me and I couldn't take it and again the tears which were stopped for the time being started to flow and then I hugged Dad tightly, as I always used to do when I was sad.

'I loved him Dad. Loved him so much that I couldn't see anyone other than him. Loved him so much that he entered my heart and I allowed him to do so, he touched my body and I didn't stop him and now he crushed my heart into pieces,' I sobbed and he broke our hug .

'Dad, I loved him but now he is not a part of my life. I am sorry, Dad. I failed as a daughter, you trusted me and I broke the trust and the man for whom I broke your trust left me,' I said and I tried to stop my tears but I couldn't.

'Princess, go and take rest. We will talk about this later.'

'I am sorry, Dad. I am not your princess. Princess never hurt their king but I hurt you,' I said and he rubbed my tears with his finger.

'Go, we will talk about this later,' he once again said the same thing and then mom came and hugged me.

'Ru, go in your room. We will talk about this later,' mom said and broke our hug.

'Mom, I am sorry, I don't know how but when I was with him...' I don't know why but I was not able to form a word as I was feeling very tired.

'Go to your room, princess,' Dad ordered and I knew it was a final warning and went to my room.

Ritu's (Ruhani's mother's ) POV

I followed Rahul and saw that he is sitting on the bed and rubbing his forehead.

'Our princess...' he started and as always I understood his unsaid words.

'Yes. I am as shocked as you. When she came home, I didn't expect to hear those words from her.'

'My princess for whom I was her king loves someone more than me,' he said and I was just staring at him as I was surprised as I expected anything but I didn't expect this, but then again I should learn by now I could never expect something from my husband as he will do the most unexpected thing.

'My princess who cried on the first day of school because instead of going to school she wanted to come to office with me is now having a baby and she is alone because that jerk left her.'

'Yes. The man whom our daughter loved so much to give everything to him left her and now she needs us. We are her parents. You know, when a child is happy she shares with everyone but when a child is sad she shares with her parents. You know why? Because a child trusts that their parent will always be with her.'

'But, what will people say?' he asked.

'People? People will say thousand of things. And what people are you talking about? Those people who were with you only when you had money, those people who sold your company to Vikram, those people who were only with you because they took a pity on you?' I asked and he seemed confused.

'What do you mean?' he asked.

'You remember we had gone to Ajay's house few weeks back?' I asked and he nodded.

'I had forgotten my mobile and went back to take it, he wanted to break relation with you as you are of no use to him as we don't have money but he took a pity on you and continued the friendship with you. I never wanted to tell these to you but I had to. These are the people you care about,' I told him and by his expression I knew that he was as surprised as I was when I heard Ajay saying those things.

'Your princess massaged your head after you got home from a long day of work, used to make coffee for you whenever she was free, she was the one who is fighting for your company, she left her house, her coffee shop just to get back your company. The PEOPLE you are talking about never helped us or take care of you but our daughter did,' I made him understood and he hugged me.

'Thank you for coming in my life and thank you for not giving up on us when sometimes I used to be an asss.'

'You were always an asss and, I know you are being all emotional today because you think that your princess loves someone more than you but don't worry she will never love anyone more than you. You will be always her king and let's give her some time and eventually she will share everything with us,' I said and was waiting for him to say something .'

I love you,' he said and today after so many years of marriage those three words still affected me like it did the first time he said it.
