(Emerald)

It was afternoon. The sun would be setting soon. all the colors on the horizon were beautiful. Blue, yellow, orange-red. But Emerald was not looking at the sunset. He was looking at Diamond her scales were a slight fiery orange in the sunset light. They had briefly been friends in their childhood until one day when she was 11, Diamond's mom had caught her sneaking out to hang out with him. Then fourth, she had not been allowed to make any more friends. Emerald had been so sad, he flew out of the sky wall to live a life of solitude. Just after he left, he had realized that he had had a crush on her. But that crush had been long forgotten 2 years ago. Looking at her he realized that's probably a good thing considering how she looks at Crimson now.

Though it kind of made a weird feeling well up inside him, as if he wanted her all to himself. He shook his head to clear it. I forgot those feelings a long time ago. If she wants to be with Crimson, I should be happy for her. Though it still stings.

(Diamond)

Diamond was to busy staring at the sunset to notice Emerald staring at her. Ever since they had found Emerald, some forgotten feelings had started to well up in her. She glanced at him and shook her head. No, she thought. Those feelings had been long since berried ever since he was proclaimed to be dead by Diamond's mother. And someone else already has my heart. Her mind insisted.

she couldn't help but feel torn. Since she had met Crimson she had felt something, but now Emerald was here, and she just... could not decide.

She was distracted by her thoughts when she heard Violet say "Oof, it's night time. We gotta find someplace to sleep."

To convenience, there happened to be an island right below them. "Wow," said Rissa. "Coincidence much?"

(the next day)

The next day, they came across a very odd air current. The current circled like a tube, and they feared that if they flew too near it, it would suck them in. they were about to fly away when they heard

Propeller beats. Diamond looked behind her to see those flying machines that had taken her. A loud voice began to speak from one of them. "Dragons surrender or we will be forced to hurt you."

"not like you weren't going to do that in the first place" Diamond growled.

She opened her mouth wide, and shot ice at the helicopters. One by one fell to the ground, but where one fell, two more took its place. "We have no choice! We must go inside the whirlwind!"

Diamond wheeled around and dove into the changing winds. by the sound of it, the others had followed. The wind currents were so powerful, Diamond did not even have to have her wings spread to stay afloat. The wind spun her around so much she had to squeeze her eyes shut and her mouth closed so she wouldn't throw up. Eventually though, they came to clear airspace. Diamond slowly opened her eyes. And spread out before her, were floating islands.
