Ch 3

"You don't know?" The kids questioned, tilting their heads to the side.

"No... I don't remember..." the zombie ponders again, trying to rake his brain for his name. 'What was it?'

"Well I'm Bakugou Katsuki! I'm gonna be the next no. 1 hero! I'll be the best damn hero you've ever seen! And don't you forget it!" The ash-blonde bragged, a proud and smug look forming into his face.

"Oh? Who's the current no. 1?"

"You don't know?! It's All Might! Only the best hero ever!" Katsuki and the blackette both exclaimed, shock present on their faces at the zombie's question.

"All Might, huh? He must of became no. 1 sometime this decade or last." The greenette muttered to himself, placing a finger to his chin.

The blackette stopped his train of thought. "I-I should introduce m-myself too. I-I'm Kirishima Ejirou," He then asked a question. "How long have you been dead for?"

"I think around 8 decades. I might be wrong, but, the place I died was worse then when I did die." The zombie replied, though his tone wasn't completely sure.

He started to mumble, pondering on all the things that had changed and happened. The two kids stared at the zombie, trying to decipher what he was saying. He finally came to a halt, glancing down at the kids with a sheepish grin and closed eyes, muttering "sorry, bad habit I picked up". The kids exchanged looks.

"Enough of that. What's it like to live in this current time? I'm guessing it's way different to how it was in my time alive." The zombie said, a tone of curiosity in his voice.

"Well..." the boys exchanged looks. "A lot of crime rate has gone down in the years as heroes rise, such as All Might or Endevour."

"Hmm...? That's good. I'd like to explore this new city. I'd like to know how much has changed," the zombie pondered a bit, muttering a bit more before stopping again. "I need to find out what happened with mum. Maybe if I can find an old newspaper, I'll find out what happened. Pretty sure that earthquake will be recorded, as well as deaths recorded also."

The kids just continued to stare as the zombie continued to rant his thoughts. Katsuki caught his attention again with a fake cough, causing the greenette to tilt his head back down.

"Why not explore the city now? We can show you around." He said, pointing to himself and Ejirou,

"Really? Are you fine with that?" The zombie asked, voice laced with joy and curiosity.

"Of course!" The boys exclaimed, large smiles spread across their faces.

They grabbed the zombie's hands and pulled him over the fence, the greenette faceplanting into the grass as his feet got caught in the fence. He tilted his head up, dirt staining his deathly face as he glared softly at the two boys, both wearing cheeky grins. He pushed himself up, wiping the dirt off his face as he stood up. The boys grabbed a hand each, pulling him along with them down the grassy hillside. They ran down, reaching the city edge in no time. They slowed down to a walk, guiding the zombie along the street and past many, many shops and buildings. The zombie stared around in awe, stopping a few times to look through store windows.

"Come on! We can't stand by shops all day." Katsuki groaned as he tugged on the greenette's shirt as he stared at hero costumes through the window.

"A-alright..." The zombie murmured, still staring through the window.

They continued through the city, passing more stores, the zombie continuing to stare through many, many windows. The awe forming as stars in his eyes continued to shine as he passed all the stores. The kids continued to drag him around, Katsuki deciding to take him to his house. As they walked, they passed UA, the giant building catching the attention of the zombie. The light shining off the large windows shone down on the trio. A "woah" escaped the zombie's lips as he stared awestruck.

"This is UA. The high school heroes graduate from. Even All Might himself went here!" Ejirou explained, Katsuki nodding enthusiastically next to him.

"It's huge..." the zombie murmured, stary eyes taking in the gigantic building.

"I'm gonna go there and become the best damn heroes you've ever seen!" Katsuki exclaimed, a smug grin printed on his face as he pointed to himself. "But, enough about UA. Let's go! I'm taking you to my house."

The boys grabbed hold of the greenette's hands again, dragging him off as they ventured down the streets of Tokyo. The boys pointed out many different things to the zombie, varying from their favourite shops, hero merchandise and restaurants. As they walked, they eventually landed on Katsuki's front doorstep. Said blonde kicked the door open, announcing he was home and dragging both Ejirou and zombie up into his room, ignoring the yelling from his mother. Slamming his bedroom door close, Katsuki turned to the two, watching as Ejirou plopped down on the bed and the zombie gazing around at the All Might posters and merch.

"Ok, zombie. What do you know about yourself?" He asked, jumping up on his bed and turning to the s zombie.

"What do I know about myself..." the zombie started to ponder, mumbled words escaping his lips. "Well... I've been dead for quite some time, I love katsudon, I was a photographer, I was born 19XX..." placing a finger to his chin, he raked his memory for things he still remembers. "I was 15 before I died... uhh... I..." his eyes scrunched up, his hand scratching furiously at his head. "That all I remember! I can't think of anything else," He plopped down on the ground in defeat, arms laying flat in his lap as he sighed. "I just want to know what happened that day. That earthquake must've killed thousands."

"Earthquake?" The kids turned to each other.

"You mean the one that happened back in 19XX?" Ejirou asked, curiosity in his voice.

"Yeah! That one! I need to find an article or something on it. I have to know what happened." The zombie replied, a bolt of hope flashing in his eyes.

"We can check the computer." Katsuki said, pointing to the computer laying on his desk in the corner of the room.

He jumped up, rushing to the desk and turned it on, watching as it powered up. Ejirou and zombie walked over, the computer turning on to the home screen. Katsuki opened up the internet, searching up, 'earthquake in 19XX'. Many results came up, an article being the first to appear. Clicking on the link, they waited as the page loaded up. The zombie took the mouse, scrolling through the lines of text till he reached the destruction part.

'The scale 10 earthquake ripped through the cities of Tokyo, Kyoto, Nagoya and more. Thousands of lives were lost due to the cities crumbling apart, killing almost all residents within the area.'

"Where is it..." he murmured, scrolling some more till his eyes landed on a particular paragraph.

'The government has reconstructed the cities, putting this earthquake behind them. Many apart of the government in the listed cities were found dead, crushed by falling buildings or falling to their deaths. Government executive and co-executive XXXXXX XXXXXXX and Inko Mido...'

"...riya were 2 of many government members to be found within the building that crumbled under its own weight," The zombie muttered, eyes wide as he read the rest of the paragraph. "...Inko Midoriya..."

"Do you know her?" Katsuki asked, curiosity evident in his gaze, as well as Ejirou's.

"I think so... my memory is still really hazy though. I feel like I know her. Arg! I wish I could remember!" The zombie exclaimed, scratching at his head again in anger and frustration.

"Maybe it'll come to you later." Ejirou suggested.

"Maybe." The zombie sighed in defeat, collapsing on the ground. 'I hope it does.'
