Rachel:

"But... but, Cameron wouldn't have done that. I am his best friend..." I wispered in disbelief, a stray, salty tear rolled down my flushed cheek.

"He shot you Rachel, I'm pretty sure that he does-wouldn't have seen you as a 'best friend' anymore Rachel." Although I hate to admit it, Damen is right, Cameron did shoot me, he could've easily killed me if not for Damen.

I look up at Damen with hurt filled eyes but I quickly mask it, I am stronger than this. If I can handle the death of my mother, I can handle the death of a serial killer, as much as it pains me to say of think for that matter.

"Are you okay?" Damen's expression softened as he said this, a look of pity in his eyes.

"I'm fine, just please don't give me pity. I don't need anyone's pity." I shook my head at the end, what I said was true, I don't nor do I want anyone's pity.

"When anyone, especially when women say 'I'm fine' it means that they are deffently not fine or okay for that matter. Rachel, seriously... Are you okay?" Damen rose a brow waiting for my response.

"Honestly... I'm not fine but I will deal with it, I've honestly been through worse than this Alpha," I spat out the last word as if it was poison in my mouth. I am starting to get pissed off with Damen asking questions left, right and centre.

Damen's dark blue eyes turned a even darker shade of black as his anger started to rise, his face beginning to have a red tint to it. He cold, hard stare remains on me as he clenches his jaw.

In a split second, I am being pinned against a wall with the strongest of Alphas standing infuriated in front of me.

"Do not speak to me with that much disrespect!" Damen bellows at me, spit flying everywhere, including my face. He curls his lip up in a snarl, showing off his canine tooth. His eyes flashed dangerously between his wolf's and his own. I tilt my head to the side in submission and he takes a step away from me, his arms still acting like a steel cage on either sides of my arms.

"Apologise," Damen's eyes stayed his own dark blue ones and they lightened from the black they were earlier.

"I'm sorry," I mutter under my breath, keeping my gaze fixated on the floor. I felt Damen's calloused finger tip my head back up by the chin to look at him.

"Louder," Damen wispered, now staring at me with a softened expression.

"I'm sorry," I said confidently. Damen nodded in acceptance and walked out of the room, clicking the door softly closed behind him.

Although I am in his office, I fell to my knees and cried silently. The pain of my mother dying, my best friend trying to kill me, my best friend dying and being kidnapped finally made me snap. Like a worn elastic band, I snapped, falling apart on Damen's office floor.

I kneeled there silently and sobbed for all of my loses, my head in my hands, my salty tears leaking through the gaps in my hands, dripping onto the floor. I sat there for Godess knows how long until I finally pulled myself together enough to stand up and walk out of his office.

With what I could imagine a red, tear stained face and red puffy eyes, I slowly walked down the stairs and to the kitchen. Crying so much has made me hungry, yet again.

"Rachel?" Anthony looked at me with worry filled blue eyes. I give him a weak smile and sniffle.

"Hey, Anthony" he raises a brow at me.

"What's wrong?" He said carefully as he got up and walked slowly over to me as I stood stoic still in the doorway. I didn't know nor think that anybody would be in here, especially not Anthony.

"Nothing," I give him another weak smile as I walk over to the pantry to grab something to eat. I go to open the pantry door but a large hand slams against it, slamming it shut in my face.

"Do you mind?" I growl as I turn and give Anthony a glare to which he instantly lets go of the door.

I turn back around to the pantry and open the door, mindlessly looking through it for no reason, I don't know what I feel like... until my eyes land upon a packet of Pizza shapes.

'Score!' My wolf Annie says to which I chuckle and take out the packet, placing them on the bench as I close the cabnet and head to the fridge for something to drink.

I hear the sound of the chip packet being opened. Slowly I turn around with a deep scowl set on my face. I hear the loud muching of someone feasting on MY chips. I turn fully around to see Damen walking out of the kitchen, chips in hand as he munches happily on them.

I growl and stomp my way over to the pantry yet again, there is no point in chasing a Alpha for a packet of chips. I slam my fist into the bench beside the pantry where the chips were and angrily open the pantry door, again.

Opening the door, I see another packet of chips and I quickly snag them off of the shelf, this time keeping a hold of them as I walk over to the fridge. Yanking the fridge door open, I search for something to drink, only water is in it.

'Damn, they could've at least put some juice or something in here,' Annie and I have never really liked water but if it is the only thing around, we will drink it.

I never knew that Annie was atually a part of me until my sixteenth birthday only two days ago, of course no body knew so they didn't get or give me anything. Annie and I have actually bonded pretty well since then, agreeing in most things.

I place the jug of water and packet of chips onto the counter top and grab a glass from the cupboard. Pouring the water into the cup, I look up to see Anthony staring intently at me.

"What?" I growl out as I place the jug back into the fridge. Grabbing the chips and my glass of water, I walk over to the dining table and sit down.

"Why are you always so damn grumpy?" Anthony mumbles as he walks over to the table, taking a seat across from me. I tear open the chips and start to devour them, no body is going to steal my food this time.

"Jeez, calm down on the chips. I aint gonna clean up when you vomit all over the place." Anthony gives me a smirk to which I almost choke on my chips from. Taking a swig of my water, I finally answer.

"Yeah, well I don't want any body to steal my food once again," I give Anthony a pointed glare. He puts his hands up in surrender smiling at me, I can't help but smile as well, shaking my head in amusement.

"Yeah, sorry about that," Anthony chuckles and I chuckle with him, eating more of my chips.

"Hey," Anthony looks up at me and I nod for him to continue "hold old are you? I know this may sound weird but I don't think I have ever asked you- crap, that sounds even worse. I don't-"I cut off his blabbering.

"I'm sixteen," Anthony raise a brow at me to which I cock my head to the side in confusion.

"When was your birthday?" To this my face instantly drops and my gaze drops down to my fiddling finger on the tabletop.

"Two days ago," I look up at Anthony and gauge his reaction.

"Shit! I'm so sorry! I had no idea, I would've gotten you something if I had known!" Anthony's expression is horrified, it is as if he has seen a murder play out right in front of his eyes. I chuckle and smile at him, this seemed to calm him down because his frown turns into a slight smile.

"It's all good. No body else remembered so you're not alone." I chuckle lightly and continue eating my chips. A large, warm hand slaps onto my shoulder, I jump at the sudden contact.

I turn around to see Damen standing behind me with the packet of chips in his hand. He places the chips onto the table and grabs my glass of water, throwing down the rest of the water. I sit there gaping at him.

'Did he seriously just drink all of our water?!' Annie hoes off like a bomb in my head to which I flinch.

"Umm, that was mine," I say lowly and point at the empty glass in Damen's hand. He wipes his mouth with the back of his other hand.

"And this-" he gestures with both arms to around him "is my pack." I smirks at me before rurning around and walking into the kitchen. I growl and turn around to my chips, stuffing them into my mouth. I glance up at Anthony who has a terrified look in his eyes as he looks past me.

"What..." I slowly follow his gaze and turn around to be met with a very angry, black eyed Alpha Damen standing metres behind me. I instantly jump out of my seat and turn fully around, staring at Damen also. He growls lowly to me, demanding for my submission. I tilt my head to the side, angling my neck towards him.

I look back up at Damen and he nods, satisfied and shoves past me, walking out of the back door. I stare at his disappearing form then turn my gaze to Anthony who seems to be staring mortified at me.

"Alright, why are you looking at me like I'm some kind of six eyed monster with red eyes?" I sit back down in the chair and wait for Anthony to answer. I raise a eyebrow at him becuase he won't answer, I clear my throat which seems to snap Anthony out of the mortified state that he was in.

"N-nothing," Anthony stutters as he glances back down at the table. I raise my brow even further and clear my throat once again which had his stare brought back upto me.

"Sorry, I just... I suddenly remebered what Damen used to do to me. Treat me like the crap on his shoe, he doesn't anymore though." Anthony's face lights up and his plasters a fake smile on his lips as he looks at me.

"Right..." I drift of, going back to eating my chips.

'He's weird,' Annie says and I inwardly chuckle at her.

Once finished my chips, I take them to the kitchen where the bin is. The smell of copper suddenly fills my nostrils, the smell coming from the backyard. Running out of the kitchen, I glance at Anthony who instantly gets up from his seat and sprints to the backdoor with me hot on his trail.

Running into the backyard, the coppery smell only got heavier, as if it was raining blood. I scrunch my nose up in distaste as I catch up to Anthony who has come to a sudden halt in front of me. Idling beside Anthony, I look at what he was staring at.

In front of us is a scene from a horror movie, there is a young wolf, still in human form laying on the ground with blood oozing from the large gashes on his stomach. Standing over him is Damen with black eyes and a glare set on his face, staring dead at the guy laying on the ground. Gagging, I turn to the side with my hand over my mouth and nose.

"What the hell Damen?!" Anthony starts to yell at Damen who growls in response but Anthony does not back down. I turn back to face Damen and keep my eyes focused on him and not what is below him. Damen snaps his stare to me, his dangerous, threatening stare that had me whimpering in fear. I honestly though that Damen was a better man than Cameron, I have been proved wrong.

"This is your fault!" Damen bellows at me and points an accusing finger at me, one that is covered in blood too. I whimper again, how is this my fault?

"H-how is th-this my fault?" I stutter out, shaking in fear as Damen's stare only gets harsher and harsher with every passing second.

"YOU MADE ME LIKE THIS! I WAS JUST FINE BEFORE YOU CAME HERE!" I was stunned for a second at his accusation before anger filled every millimeter in me. With my face turning red with anger and my teeth clenched I started to scream at Damen.

"YOU KIDNAPPED ME YOU IDIOT! NONE OF THIS IS MY FUCKING FAULT!" I screamed at the top of my lungs at him, my spit flying everywhere. Anthony is still standing beside me, glaring harshly at Damen.

Suddenly, I was being thrown across the backyard and I felt side slam into a tree trunk. Groaning I fell to the ground, grinding my teeth in attempt to not cry out in pain.

Looking up from the ground below me, I can see a blurred figure striding towards me, anger written all over his face. I whimper as I realize that it is Damen who is striding over to me.

'He's going to kill us' Annie whimpers in the back of my mind. I realize then that she is right, I should not have said anything to him, now I am done for. I try to stand up but end up being kicked extremely harshly in the ribcage, sending me flying to the other side of the backyard. With a yelp, I fall to the ground, rolling a couple of feet before fianlly coming to a stop.

I look up again only to feel a stabbing pain in my side but I grit through it and look at Damen. He is once again stalking towards me with a deadly look on his face, only this time Anthony's wolf lunges at him, knocking him to the ground.

Anthony's wolf has bright gold eyes and luscious black fur white patches around each foot, quite cute if you ask me.

I manage to grit through all of the pain and stand up as I quickly shift into my chocolate brown wolf and racing over to the two brawling wolves. Damen has now shifted as well, his wolf is just the same ad Anthony's inly he does bot have the cute white patches.

Snarling, I lunge between the two of them, putting me in an extremely bad position but I would rather die to let one of my new friends here live. Damen growls lowly at me, a warning and menacing growl. I falter for a second mut get back into my attack stance, prepared to fight. Damen's eyes turn a deadly dark colour and he snarls dangerously at me before he lunged at me.

I was ready for him and at the last second, I jump out of the way but snap my jaws down onto his paw. Catching him off guard I shake my head and a loud snap can be heard, I instanly let go as low growls tumble out of Damen. He snaps his head to me and snarls, once again I prepare for his attack and hunker down on all fours, my paws digging into the ground below me.

Damen lunges but he lunges straight over me, suprised and confused, I spin around only to be met by a snarling Alpha right behind me. I yelp in shock and jump back... I was not fast enough as he snaps at me and catches my snout in his strong jaws.

Instantly I start to whimper at the searing pain, I dare not move of he will only end up tearing my snout to shreds. His jaws start to relax and relieve the pressure on my snout, growling lowly at me. I try to angle my head in submission only he would not let go of me enough to do so.

From behind Damen, I see Anthony racing over to us stark naked, a couple of guards racing along behind him. Damen catches my attention back to him by putting more pressure back onto my snout. Whimpering, I start to fall to the ground in pain, Damen's head angling down as I lower myself down to the ground.

Finally he lets go of my snout with a menacing growl, instantly I jump up and back away a few steps. I can taste blood in my mouth and I shake my head slightly in pain, whimpering the whole time. Damen shifts back and glares down at my withering form below him.

"Shift!" Damen roars at me and I instantly comply, covering myself away from prying eyes. One of the guards steps out from behind Damen and hands me some clothes, instantly I shrug them on.

Shyly I look up at Damen who has a deep scowl on his face and gulp, this is no good.

"Get up," Damen's voice seemed to have softened but his gaze sure hasn't. With week movements, I stand up at look at everyone else, silently begging them to help me with my eyes.

Anthony is glaring harshly at the back of Damen's head, he now has clothes on so one of the guards must have given him something to wear as well. The rest of the guards have large rifles slung over their shoulders with their faces are emotionless, giving nothing away.

"Apologise... Now!" Damen's voice rose as he said the last word, using his Alpha tone on me which I can not deny or fight against.

"I-I'm sorry," I stutter nervously as I stood there shaking in fear. Damen simply nods and turns around, walking back to the packhouse. Instantly Anthony rushes over to me, caressing my face as he inspects my facial injuries with a scowl on his face.

"Are you okay? How are you feeling?" Anthony asks urgently.

"I'm fine, my body hurts here and there but I'm fine." I almost wisper to Anthony who gives me a skeptical look, raising a brow. I laugh lightly and smile at him. "Honestly, I. Am. Fine Anthony." To this he slowly nods, letting go of my face and turns back around, heading to the packhouse.

'Seriously?! He asks if we are okay then turns and leaves? Every man should know that when a girl says that she's fine, doesn't mean she is actually fine!' Annie basically screamed at me, causing me to wince and rub my fingers on my temples.

'He is just too blind to really see anything past words, besides, did you see the look he gave us when I said we were fine? He didn't believe me and maybe he just didn't want to start a stupid fight over it Annie.' I got no response from Annie after that, to which I mentally smirked at, she can't fight against me when I was more than likely right.
