Rachel:

I wake up to the smell of bleach and the beeping of machines, my whole body feels numb as I try to sit up, but quickly lower myself back down.

I groan in pain, as I start to remeber what happened before I blacked out... Cam... he shot me but surely I was dreaming because Cam would never do that to his best friend... right? I sluggishly lift my hand upto my face to feel that there is a bandage over it.

It is real, Cam did shoot me. As I lower my hand, the door flies open, causing me to shreek in suprise, I jump but quickly regret the sudden movement.

Damen rushes over to my side, pressing a button that is hooked up to some machine before smiling apologetically at me.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you. I heard your heartbeat rise and I thought that something was wrong, sorry" Damen lowered himself slowly into the seat beside my bed and smiles at me. He is quite handsome when he smiles I have noticed.

"It's fine, I just woke up... and yeah," I drifted off as my gaze turned to the machines beside me. The date read 15th October , which means that I have been out for two days. "Have I really been out for two days?" I glanced back at Damen who nodded in response.

"Hey, how are you feeling now? This button that I pressed," he motioned to the big green button that he had pressed as soon as he came in, "it is supposed to give you some more pain relief stuff."

"Oh, well thankyou because I am feeling better but, w-where is C-Cameron?" I stuttered as I saw a deep frown starting to form on Damen's face, oops, I've gone too far.

"He isn't going to hurt you or anyone else anymore... I kinda... killed him..." Damen drifted off as he waited for my reaction.

I blinked once. Twice. Three times. Well I defently was not expecting that... "why? Why did you kill him, and why did you say that he isn't going to hurt anyone anymore?" Just as I said those words, the doctor came in, staring at Damen the whole time until he got right next to my bed.

"Hello Miss Rachel, I am your doctor, Dr. Caleb, you can just call me Caleb if you like?" He smiled widely at me but didn't show any teeth, a sign of respect. "Sorry to bother you Sir, but I would like to run a few more tests on Rachel, just to make sure she is healing properly." He glanced over at Damen who nodded in understanding and walked out of my room.

"So, Miss Rachel, how are you feeling today?" Caleb smiled kindly at me and I returned the smile.

"Good thanks," my hoarse voice echoed within the room, although I have already used it today, my vocal box still hasn't warmed up yet.

"That's good, do you mind it I remove that bandage from you face to get a look at you graze?" Caleb placed the folder he brought in with him onto the beside table. I nodded my head and braced myself for the stinging pain that is going to coming from him ripping the bandage off.

"Well, it looks like you are fully healed," Caleb seemed suprised to say the least as he studied my face. "Here, just fill out this form and you are free to leave." Caleb smiled at me as he handed me a sheet of paper that was in the folder he brought in.

"Thankyou," I smiled weakly at the doctor as he nodded at Damen and I before walking out of the room. I quickly searched my bedside table in search for a pen or at least pencil to sign the paper.

"Ah, there it is," I smile as I point at it and give Damen the puppy dog face, pouting slightly, Damen walked over to the table on the other side of the room and snatched the pen off of it.

"Here ya go," Damen chuckles, making his body to shake slightly.

"Thanks," I turn back to the paper and quickly fill it out, the earlier I get out of this damn hospital, the better, the intense hospital smell is starting to get on my nerve. Weird I know, a smell getting on my nerve? It is the truth though, the smell is really annoying.

Damen:

I sit patiently on the chair beside Rachel's bed and wait for her to finish filling the form out. I stare into space as I think of how I am supposed to tell her why I killed Cameron, in her mind, Caleb was the good guy and I was the bad guy. Little did she know what Cameron lied to her about all these years, only a handful of people actually know what happened and what Cameron's biggest secrets are.

*FLASHBACK*

Seven years ago, Cameron and I used to be the best of friends, always hanging out and talking about girls as they walked past. Cameron always talked about this one chick called Rachel I think it was.

Anyway, Cameron just suddenly opened up to me.

"Hey man, do you have any regerets? As in really bad regrets?" We were playing a video game, Cameron and I were on a team, fighting against another team. I believe the game is Halo and man do I love it!

"Hmm... not really, I mean I do regret a few things, why?" I spared a glance at Cameron who was completely zoned in on the game.

"Well... I really stuffed up on something and I seriously regret it..." Cameron seemed like he was pained at what he was saying, he ttailed off at the end as he finally saw the other team running at us.

"What is it? What do you regret so much?" I lowered the game controller and looked at Cameron.

"DUDE! WATCH OUT!!" Cameron yelled at me, I wasn't paying attention to what was happening on the screen and I didn't realize that one of the opposes was shooting me. I paused the game, receiving a large, exasperated sigh from Cameron.

"Well, I kinda accidentally killed someone..." Cameron trailed off as he gauged my reaction, I just stared a him blankly, then I became furious.

"How the hell do you 'accidentally' kill someone?" I wisper-yelled becuase there were other people in the kitchen across the hall from us.

"Umm... well I kind of lost my patience and took it out on someone. Please don't tell anyone! Please,I can't let this stuff up my life." He begged me, I do remeber his mother warning him about having some type of illness but I never knew that it would be this bad, to kill someone? That is a bit drastic

*END OF FLASHBACK*

"Hellooo?!" Rachel snapped her fingers in front of my face as she was yelling at me.

"Huh?" I cleared my throat and straightened my back. "What'd I miss?" I asked carefully as Rachel shook her head in amusement and rolled her eyes.

"Well, I just asked you where I was gonna stay, I mean, I just find it weird to live in the area where Cameron shot me." She smiled sadly at me.

"Uhh, yeah. Umm, if you wanna, you can come to my pack, I need to talk to you about Cameron anyway." I returned the smile before standing up and helping Rachel off of the bed.

"Jeez, I'm not gonna fall Damen, It's not like I broke my legs or anything." Rachel shrugged me off of her as she clambered off the bed and walked to the door, still wearing the hospital gown.

"Maybe not but do you wanna change out of that," I said whilst poitning at the hospital gown. Rachel smiled sheepishly at me as she rubbed the back of her neck, a pink tint rising to her cheeks. Chuckling, I walked past her and grabbed a pair of undergarments and an outfit for her to slip into at the front desk, they were actually Rachel's clothes, only they washed and fixed them up so there were no holes.

"Here," I passed Rachel the clothes through the gape in the door before turning back around and sitting down on one of the chairs in the waiting room.

"About time," I mumbled as Rachel stepped out of her room, fully dressed on carrying the hospital gown out with her, throwing it at me. Oops, I guess she must have heard me. Laughing to myself, I stood up and grabbed the gown, throughing it in the laundry shoot before jogging back to Rachel, man she walks fast.

"Wait up! You don't even know where my car is," once I got within a few metres of Rachel, she finally slowed down. I glanced at her face as we walked silently to my car, she had a large frown on her lips, I guess she just remembered what I said earlier about Cameron.

We silently got into my car, no one said a word and to be honest, it was extremely awkward.

"Umm... you can turn on the radio if you like?" I decided to brake the silence and what better with than songs? Rachel silently leaned forward towards the radio and switched it on, flicking throught the channels. Each song she landed on, I starting singing to and it was starting to get annoying how she kept changing them.

"STOP!" I basically yelled as one of my hands flew to the tuning button so that Rachel wouldn't change it. It was Shed a light by Robin Schulz and David Guetta. Rachel laughed beside me as I started to belt out the lyrics.

"Don't leave me here in the dark when it's hard to see
Show me your heart, shed a light on me
If you love me, say so, if you love me, say so
If you love me, say something
You know I can't live without you, I'm on my knees
Where are you now? Shed a light on me
If you love me, say so, if you love me, say so!!"

I stopped for a moment as I heard Rachel join me in singing the song, I guess she likes it too. I picked up the lyrics again and sang at the top of my lungs.

"Why when I call, you never answer?
I'll try to talk, you keep on dancing
I can feel you on my skin, but am I only dancing with the wind?!"

Once the song was over, we couldn't stop laughing at eachother.

"I can't believe that Damen, the big bad alpha wolf can actually sing!" Once Rachel calmed her laughing, she decided to pick on me. Females.

"Yeah well, I can't believe that you can't sing," I was laughing again as Rachel started to hit me and yell at me.

"Ok, ok. Calm down, I was only kidding!" I saw the acceptance of my apology and she giggled and turned the radio back up, guess what song was on? Scream and shout by Will.i.am feat. Britney Spears. Well I just happened to know this song too so for the rest of the car right home, Rachel and I sang to all of the songs that came on the radio, by the time we got home, Rachel was already half asleep.

Rachel:

"Oh my gosh," the Midnight Pack's packhouse is stunning. The whole building is made of stone, there is moss growing here and there, as if the building was not notices until recently. There are large, stone gargoyles that seem to be protecting the large, wooden front door. The packhouse is surrounded by large, rolling green hills. Large rose bushes are growing all along the driveway, their bright red buds glowing in the moonlight. This pack is truly beautiful and I have only seen the packhouse and entrance to it.

"Do you Like it?" Damen chuckles from beside me.

"Like it? I love it!" I exclaim as I sprint towards the front door. I hear Damen run up behind me, stopping me from going inside. I gave him a questionable look as he smiles innocently.

"I... Uh, I wanted to show you around the packhouse," He rubs the back of his neck as he smiles sheepishly at me. I laugh and stand back up, with his force, he knocked us down to the ground.

"Sorry, go ahead," I smile broadly at him as I brush my pants off and help him off the ground.

"I'm hungry," Abbey, Damen's niece wines. Abbey has long brown hair and bright blue eyes, only part of her right eye is green. She smiles innocently at me, giving me the puppy dog eyes as well.

"Ugh, you're just too cute!" I pinch her cheeks to which she scrunches her face up. I met nearly everyone who live in the packhouse whilst Damen was showing me around, it has been two days since then.

Abbey slapped my hands away and pouted.

"Okay, okay. What do you want to eat?" I lean aginst the island bench as Abbey sits on the other side on a stool. Abbey looks like she is thinking hard before she clicked her fingers and gasped.

"Can I pleeease have a cheese toastie?" She drags out the 'e' in please. I quickly nod my head and turn to the fridge to get out the ingredients.

It doesn't take me long to make two cheese toasties as I was starting to get hungry as well.

"Here you go," I slide Abbey over a plate with one of the toasties on it.

"Thankyou," she chirped before quickly digging into her toastie. Wow, she really was hungry.

I chuckle and start to eat my own toastie when Anthony, Damen's Beta came into the kitchen. Anthony comes up behind me and snatches the other half of my cheese toastie.

"Umm, excuse me?! That is MY toastie!" I drop the half of the toastie I was eating onto my plate and race after him. Anthony snickers and takes a huge bite out of my toastie.

"Not now it aint!" Anthony turns back around and runs even faster. I end up chasing him out to the backyard. Anthony's glossy black hair wipping behind him as he runs, yes I said wipping, his hair is quite long.

"Anthony!!" I yell at him, he is seriously getting on my nerve. He then turns around and stuffs the rest of the toastie in his mouth. I stop and gape at him, he just ate my toastie! I growl lowly and stalk up to him, slapping him on the chest, I scowl at him.

"Foo too dill quant it?" Anthony askes me with his mouth full then opens his mouth, showing me the chewed mess of a toastie that was supposed to be mine. Anthony's bright crystal blue eyes lit up as he laughed at my reaction, some of the toastie flying out in the process.

I shake my head angrily and turn back around, headimg back to the other half of my beloved toastie. Stalking inside, I find my plate empty and Abbey chewing happily on my toastie.

"Are you kidding me?!" I yell, making Abbey jump and cower away from me. Rolling my eyes, I stomp to the living room and plomp down on the soft, lush lounge. I really could not be bothered to make another cheese toastie, so I will just have to wait for dinner.

"Go on! Go and apologize!" Someone wisper-yelled, who I am quessing was Damen.

"Do I have to?" Someone else wined, who I knew was Anthony. I heard a low growl come from behind me and I had to bite my lip so that I wouldn't laugh. I could hear footsteps getting closer to me and Anthony's scent enveloped around me.

"Umm, Rachel... sorry for taking and eating you cheese toastie," anthony practically wispered to me as he bent down to wisper in my ear. I took this chance to slap him, as I went to slap him across the face, someone with a gloved hand grabbed me wrist, stopping me.

"Come, come now Rachel. No need for violence around here," I could tell that Damen was holding in his laughter at how restricted his voice sounded. I huffed and tugged my wrist signaling that I was not going to try and hit Anthony again.

Damen released my wrist and chuckled, sitting down on the arm chair across from me.

"Hey, you still haven't told me why you killed Cameron." I rose a brow at him, making his face fall as if he really didn't want to tell me why but I really need to know why. I didn't budge as he stared me down, trying to convince me not to question him about the situation.

"Fine, meet me up in my office in twenty minutes, I just have something else to do first." He then stood and headed towards the back door, totally ignoring Anthony's demands to know what I was talking about.

I wonder up the stairs to the third level to where all the high ranks offices are. As I wonder down the hall, the only sound being heard is my boots clicking along the wooden floorboards. I eventually find the office in which Damen's scent was more prominent and head on inside, finding a lounge on the far wall and take a seat.

After around ten minutes of just sitting on the lounge and fiddling with the material of it, Damen finally came in. I know he said that he would be there in twenty minutes but I have no patience.

"Where do you want me to start?" Damen patiently sat down on the other end of the lounge.

"Start from the beginning," I said so quietly, I was sure that he didn't hear me, but clearly he did because he sighed dramatically.

"Well, Cameron kind of had a... kind of a disorder. Umm... he kinda has a disorder that causes his anger to snap very quickly and well, he has killed people due to it." He looked at me to see my reaction. I stared blankly at him then drifted my gaze to the ground as I let the new information sink in.

Cameron had a disorder that he has killed people becuase of? Why haven't I been told of this? Why did I have to find out about it after he died?

"When did it start? When did he first kill someone?" I questioned, if I was getting information, I was getting the whole story.

"When he was around ten, when we were actually friends." A ghost of a smile played on his lips, he is probably remembering all the good times he had with Cameron.

"When was the most recent one?" I know I shouldn't really ask all these questions but I really need to know, it is like there is a blank space the needs to be filled with concrete information.

"Do you remeber that young girl who went missing around a week or two ago," Damen paused and looked up at me, to which I nodded slowly. Surely he didn't kill her right? "Well; Cameron also killed her, she is the reason for why I decided to save you, if he can kill a girl, a young girl at that, he could have killed you."
