Second Year
At exactly ten-thirty in the morning, Platform 9 3/4 was filled with young and old wizards crowding around the Hogwarts Express. The Potters all walked together apart from Albus who trailed behind purposely. He had not wanted to return for his second year because his first wasn't as special as everyone lead him to believe it would be. If it wasn't for the comfort and support of his two best friends, Scorpius and Terra, he wouldn't have made it alone at the terrible place.
Karl Jenkins shoves past young Albus with a scowl that went unnoticed and he immediately lowers his head. "See you on the train, Potter." Jenkins grinned devilishly, no doubt thinking about continuing his torment from last year.
"Alby!" Terra's teasing nickname that stuck in their first year emerged from the sea of people. She engulfed him into a tight hug before pulling back. "I should've known you wouldn't keep your promise. How come you never wrote back to me?" The delightful second within Terra vanished to her natural and feisty attitude.
"I've been busy Terra." He mumbles.
"Busy?" She repeats, lifting an unconvinced brow. "I guess I'll let it go this one time, Potter."
"Albus, Terra!" Scorpius beckoned as the two turned to see a pale faced boy with platinum hair.
"Looking good, Malfoy." Terra grins before ruffling his slick hair.
Scorpius dodges her crazy fingers that tried to destroy his masterpiece of glossy, silver hair. "No, it took me ages to get it this tousled."
"Get a life."
"I'll meet you guys on the train." Albus struts pass his friends to catch up with his family.
Lily, his younger sister, was sadden because she couldn't attend Hogwarts like James and Albus until next year. Her curly, ginger hair falls past her shoulder just like his beautiful mother who kisses the top of his forehead lovingly.
"You ready to board the train, my dear?" Ginny asks in a soft tone. Albus nods without another word before turning back to his father.
There really wasn't a connection between the two, not like him and James. Everyone knew that James was the star child that was sorted into Gryffindor and took everything after his prodigy father. Albus never knew where he stood at times. He just hated the fact that he always felt the need to live up to his fathers standards.
"You okay there Albus?" Harry places a calming hand over Albus's shoulder.
"Yes." He lies.
Harry squats down to his level just to meet his eyes, "If you're worried about the kids that are giving you trouble at school, just talk to McGonagall and you'll find that she's very helpful."
"Albus, come on! The train will leave soon!" Scorpius shouts from the trains entry with Terra standing right over his shoulder.
"Ok!" He shouts back.
At the sight of white, platinum hair Harry took in a sharp breath noticing the young wizards that Albus had chosen to befriend. They weren't exactly the best few giving the circumstances, and it didn't help much that his main friend was the son of his very own enemy during the Second Wizarding War.
He looks down at Albus, "Son, I think you shouldn't be friends with Malfoy. His family and their legacy isn't the brightest in the history books. That might be the reason why you haven't found peace within Hogwarts." Harry confesses.
Albus couldn't tell whether it was advice or if his dad was demanding it of him. Either way, that was never going to happen. Scorpius and Terra were the only two things holding him together during his lowest moments.
"Dad, they're my best friends and they mean a lot to me. It's just like Uncle Ron and Aunt Hermione. I would never give them up." With that he turned and ran towards the train to reunite with his close friends.
Harry nearly cringes at the sight of his son hugging the young Malfoy boy. Ginny reaches out to slowly caress her husbands tense frame. He tried to put the thought behind him but he couldn't let it go, and his wife wasn't worried about it as much as he wanted her too.
"They're just children." She argues sternly in young Albus's defense. "You should be more supportive of his choices. All the pressure and standards that you're applying on Albus will drive him crazy."
Harry takes a deep breath, "That Malfoy is the reason why all the other kids continue to pick on him."
"So what do you propose that Albus do?" Ginny questions with a lifted brow. "Befriend the bullies? It's nonsense Harry."
Harry didn't respond any further and just soaked in all of Ginny's words. He only wanted the best for his kids since his childhood was tough and miserable. It hurt more than anything to know that Albus wasn't experiencing Hogwarts to the fullest, that he was feeling as young Harry did all those years ago.
Lily skips over with Hugo Weasley-Granger right at her tail. The two played together when the older kids were away.
Ginny gently grabs Harry's hand as the family began to head back home.

"So," Scorpius's enthusiastic voice echoes throughout the corridors.
The three friends were headed for Herbology with Professor Longbottom.
"Are you guys trying out for the Quidditch Team with me?" He piped happily, that silver hair glaring like a ray of light.
Albus nods with a smirk, "Absolutely! I'd give anything to knock James off his stupid broomstick. He's more mad than my father."
Terra raises a brow, "That's pretty bold."
"What? Wanting to beat my brother?" Albus mumbles with a low grunt.
"No," Terra laughs, "Thinking that you can knock an upperclassman off their broomstick. One battle at a time Alby."
"So you're saying that I'm incapable of doing it?" He questions with a lifted brow.
Terra holds her composure, "Of course not. I just think that it's going to be a little harder to do something like that. Especially to James Potter."
Scorpius snickers, "Someone has a crush."
She glares directly at Scorpius, "In your dreams. Im only being realistic, moron."
On their way in, Scorpius and Albus sat in the back with the rest of Slytherin House. Terra's eyes trail from the front where all the pretty, Gryffindor girls sat proudly. One of which, Rose Weasley, snarls at her presences.
"This seat is open," That voice never failed to boil her blood. Karl sat next to an empty seat patting the wooden stool with a smirk.
Terra rolled her eyes, "I'd rather sit next to a Basilisk."
The young boy smiles even more with all his friends snickering behind them. "To bad, I bet that Basilisk wouldn't have put up a fight like I would."
Surprisingly, his reply caught her off guard for a split second. "I bet." Terra rolled her eyes, hiding the shock. Karl was good with his words no doubt. A talented manipulator to be specific.
"After classes the Quidditch tryouts will be on the field," Karl started lowly, reaching out to twirl a piece of her black hair with his finger. "You're more than welcome to come and support."
Terra takes a step back as her silky hair glides through his fingers. "I certainly hope your flying skills are more impressive than your ego."
He chuckles, "Don't worry about that. At least I can get on a broom and actually fly unlike that Slytherin Squib and Abomination you're always running around with." Karl didn't like Scorpius and Albus for some reason. He'd always tease them.
"Jealous?"
"Not in the slightest. You're a smart girl, and I know that you'll figure everything out soon enough." Karl winks.
Her stomach turns, "I'm going to be sick."
Terra grabs her books before walking towards the back to sit with another Slytherin girl. She had large, curly hair with dark-brown eyes. The girl never talked much; always alone, quiet and observant.
"Do you mind if I sit here?"
"Not at all, Terra." The girl didn't even look up at Terra. She continued to examine the feathers of her quill in silence.
"Uhm, thanks." Terra replied, unsure what to say next. "You know who I am—"
"Yes, I do." She cut her off with a charming smile. "You're one of the smartest girls in our year and it's hard to miss someone like you. You have nice hair and you're extremely talented."
Terra gave a side grin, "And what is your name." It was hard not to be arrogant in these types of situations.
"Delphi, Delphi Diggory." They shake hands feeling a mix of fire and ice in the middle, but for the most part it went unnoticed.
"Nice to meet you Delphi."
III
Scorpius and Albus clenched tightly to their broomsticks as they stand in the middle of the Quidditch field. There was a lot of students wanting to make the team, but only a few could stay.
Karl Jenkins held his head high, ready to take the title of seeker and so was Albus. James Potter was the seeker on Gryffindor. It all made sense in the end but people were followers and easily influenced by judgment.
Scorpius hopped up and down cracking his neck. This was the moment he prepared for and it's finally here.
"Afternoon everyone," Jon Covet, the Slytherin Captain struts onto the field to address the students. "I am your captain and chaser so that means I am looking for six people, possibly an extra, and also someone to take my place at the end of the year. Joining this team will not be easy. Why, you might ask? It's because I'm searching for the best and only the best to beat Gryffindor. With that being said, you either go big or go home. If you were looking for a different pep talk then maybe you're in the wrong place." His stern and cold, green eyes pierced through everyone like knives.
They each nod with smirks. "Wait!" Terra jogs over holding her broomstick and Quidditch robe.
Karl tilts his head before chuckling loudly, "You've got to be kidding me."
"Terra?" Scorpius's eyebrows knot in the middle from confusion.
Jon grunts under his breath, "Late already. Not very impressive."
"Don't worry. I've got a lot of tricks."
The boys howl like the wind as she rolls her eyes. The captain takes a close step towards her. "I sure do hope so," he whispers in a snarl. "Get in formation! This half will be defense and this half will be offense. Let's go!"
Before they took off on their brooms Albus gently lays a hand on Terra's arm. "Since when were you into Quidditch?"
"My dad and his brothers always play. I grew up watching them and it's something I'm hoping will rub off on me." She sighs drastically after tying her hair into a messy ponytail. "See you in the clouds."
Her feet lifts off the grass and dangles over her broomstick. Karl gives her a wink from across the field while sluggish floating in the air like a feather. He was ready for tryouts and Terra's attendance made it even more interesting.
There was a full crowd of students cheering them on. Scorpius keeps a firm grip onto his newest Nimbus 2017. His full concentration was very surprising for most considering he never gives as much effort into his classes.
Jon Covet releases the trunk and out comes the golden snitch; a golden ball that's almost as fast as light and impossible to see like a needle in a haystack. Karl doesn't hesitate to go after the game-winning prize along with a few others including Albus.
Scorpius guards the hoops against the twin chasers Aryon and Tryon who were apart of Karl's obnoxious possé. Terra floats in the air, watching her surroundings until the snitch appears right in front of her eyes before circling around her body.
She tries to reach out and grab it but the fast, shiny piece of gold vanishes again. Terra yields her broomstick to chase after the snitch with the rest of Slytherin chasing her.
Following the direction of the snitch was very challenging and almost impossible. It would take sharp turns or go into narrow spaces. After awhile many students gave up and chose a different task but Karl, Albus, Finch and Terra remained in hot pursuit.
"You'll never get the snitch Potter!" Karl wickedly laughed through the wind.
"Shut it, Jenkins!"
The two bickered throughout the entire chase. Terra never lost focus and came close to grasping the snitch every once in awhile.
It wasn't until a good thirty minutes into the game when Karl became tired of the chase, so he switched to aggression. Bumping and flying over everyone to get closer.
Terra bumped him back causing them to be shoulder to shoulder. "See I knew you'd get close to me!" He shouts over the wind.
She frowns pulling back to bump him again, but he pulls back causing Terra to crash against the Quidditch wall and onto the pit.
"Bloody Hell!" She coughs as soon as she falls into the sand. Aryon laughs aloud and points at her.
"Good one, Karl!"
"I'll make it up to you some other time sweetheart!" He teases.
Terra grabs her broomstick, "In your dreams." She takes flight in the air again to continue the chase for the snitch.
By this time Finch had been injured and Karl's next target was Albus. They were going head to head with Terra trailing close behind. Anytime she would try to break through the two would block her off.
Somehow, Karl has caused Albus to fly completely off his broom and into the pit. He laughs hysterically at the young Potters failure before pursuing for Terra.
"You're next, again."
"Only if you can catch me, asshole."
Karl advances quickly onto Terra and bumps her shoulder just like last him in his attempt to knock her off the broom. She mirrors his action until they're shoving one another. Finally when they fly towards a pillar she pulls up as Karl flies straight into the wood and tapestries of Slytherin.
The snitch, however, continues to rush towards the sky and pass the cloud banks. The ball begins to slow and so does she. Terra retreats and flies back down to the ground feeling the air soak back into her lungs.
When she lands on the ground, her knees collapse from a light head and fatigue muscle.
IV
Terra awakens in the hospital wing feeling completely normal. Scorpius and Albus stand next to her with heavy sighs.
"Oh my gosh, did I do that bad?" She grunts lowly.
Scorpius grins, "Not at all, seeker."
Terra's eyes widen, "What did you just say?" She smiles brightly before jumping up and hugging them both. "Seeker? Me?"
Scorpius nods, "Yea, Jon was very specific."
"What about Karl? Or you? What about you Alby?"
"Well, Karl got chaser. It wasn't the position he wanted but Jon said he was a show off not a strategist." Scorpius laughs aloud, the nurses scowl from the noise. "You're also looking at your new keeper and chaser!"
He grabs Albus's shoulder who remained quiet the entire time. "That's amazing! Wow!"
Albus breathed in harshly, "Yes, congratulations. I'm glad you're feeling better." He gives Terra a stiff pat on the back.
She frowns, "Thanks!"
