Once they made it to the lobby, Ava magically sealed the building.

"This can be our base for now," Tetra said. "Rich, we need you to gather any computer things from in the building and make something to help us communicate. You're gonna stay here and be our support. Is that okay?"

Rich nodded compliantly and went off in search of any bits of technology.

"The rest of us are gonna be out there fighting demons. If we had time, we'd train against Evyn to learn their style but we don't have time. Ava or Evyn, is there some sort of magical weapon you can conjure up for me and Lo?"

"Maybe," Evyn said. She closed her eyes and clasped her hands together. Ava did the same. Both of them spread their arms slowly and the energy between them created two swords. One light, one dark.

"I call the Angel blade," said Lo. Tetra shrugged and took the Demon blade.

Ava collapsed and Evyn caught her before she hit the ground. "The demons are draining her energy. She's gonna be out for a bit." Evyn laid her girlfriend on a nearby couch. 

"We can still go out and clear the area a bit," Tetra said. Evyn transformed and pried the doors open. She flashed a smile at Tetra and Lo, then leaped out to wreak havoc.

The two humans walked outside slowly, back to back, assessing the situation. A red winged goblin darted towards them. Tetra yelped and swung her sword in surprise, turning the demon to dust.

Lo smiled at her and advanced on a nearby group of demons, hacking and slashing wildly. She watched him longingly as he made quick work of them. 

"If only he could do it shirtless," she said to herself. After marveling at Lo for a while, she ran out as well and swung her sword erratically. The demons were attracted to the Demon blade's energy, so there was no short supply of enemies to eliminate.

A sense of pleasure washed over Tetra; seeing the demons suffer almost delighted her. She felt nearly invincible. The blade began to glow brighter. She eradicated tens of demons effortlessly, feeling more pride every time the sword sucked the life away from a monster.

The blade began to burn her hands a bit, but she paid it no mind as she continued slashing. Evyn dove near her.

"Tetra, your sword."

Tetra looked down, it was on fire. Literally. Tetra dropped it and stamped it out. The negative feelings went away.

"You have to be careful," Evyn said. "Demon energy is powerful. Persuasive. I've nearly killed the people I love because of it. Control it, don't let it control you." 

Lo ran back towards the girls. They all looked around to witness a clear perimeter around their building.

"It looks like we did enough for now," he said before walking back to the tower.

Evyn eyed Tetra commandingly. "Control it." She ran back toward the tower.

Tetra looked out on the horizon. The sea of red called out to her, but she resisted and returned indoors as well.
