Cindertail and Iceclaw padded out of camp. They padded down to the river side. "So," meowed Iceclaw, "have you thought about having a mate?" "Stuiped" he thought "She will never be my mate!" " It crossed my mine." She meowed. "Well would you be mine?" He asked smiling. "Yes." She blushed. He grinned and his face lite up.
She looked at her reflection in the river. "Starclan am I ready for this?" She thought glancing at Iceclaw. "I just hope nothing goes wrong" she thought. A rain drop hits the river. She looked at Iceclaw, who looked at her. "We better get back to camp." She meowed. "Yea," he meowed "before the rain gets to bad." Cindertail and Iceclaw ran back to camp. Stripestar ran to her. "Plan a hunting patrol." He ordered and ran off. She walked over to Crystalheart. "Can you lead a hunting patrol" she asked her. "Yea," meowed Crystalheart, "Who do I bring?" "Select three more cats." She meowed. "Ok" meowed Crystalheart walking over to Lightningstep, Waterdrop, and Grayclaw.
She looked around. She saw two kits, Applekit and Bramblekit, playing moss ball. She padded over to watch. "Cindertail," squeeked Bramblekit, "Can you play with us?" "Yea" she smiled. "Bramblekit hit the "ball" her way. She hit it to Applekit. Applekit smiled and ran over to her. She jumped on her and purred. Bramblkit climbed on too. The were smiling. She shook them off. They fell off laughing. A crack of thunder filled the sky. The kits ran under Cindertail shacking. "We want to stay with you." They meowed at the same time. Brightcrystal, the kits mom, paddle over. "We won't go with you." Meowed Bramblekit. "We won't leave Cindertail." Meowed Applekit. "Ok, Cindertail can join us in the nursery for one night." She meowed looking up. "I can only for tonight." Meowed Cindertail. "Yea!" Squealed the kits.
