Happy Independence day to Nigerians!!!!

Sorry for the late update... I couldn't type during the week. It's easier to write some things but when you're confronted with the reality of those challenges once again, it has this way of destabilizing you.

So basically, my weight and stature is once again becoming a problem and the worst kind of depression is that which stems from your family members😫.

It got to the point I went to search, how to gain weight like Dara did in Chapter 1 of "Slim Hope", maybe I missed something. Right now, I'm eating "Oats"_ the only thing missing is Banana🤣. I don enter am!

Everyone looks at me and think I'm still a kid. Sometimes i indirectly blame it for not being accepted after job interviews. It's becoming worst everyday🤣😂. Even though I'm laughing about it now, I cried about it two days ago. I cried my eyes out for hours, I slept off and I was still crying in my sleep 🤣. Yes, It was that bad!

It's fine though, I guess I'll get through this someday! But that was my reason for not typing, I was going through an emotional month!

While Yewande drove back home after dropping Nuel off, she felt her menstrual period flow down to her underwear. She parked the car by the road side and then bowed her head against the steering busting into tears. This only meant that the procedure they paid a good sum of money for didn't work!

She picked her phone calling her husband, " Hey Babe, we're about to get into the board room right now, can you call back?" "It didn't work Babe, period just started right now. I I can't do this any longer, I'm tired!"

Hospital

"Asanwa!" Somto stood above Nene and his bad breathe shot her on the face. The worst case was she couldn't move her face because of the paralysis. "Now that we're back to being alone"

Oga remove your smelly mouth away from my face. At least you went home now, you could have tried and brush your teeth before coming back.

"My love... I'm sorry it had to be like this" tears poured down and her eyes welled with tears too.

She blink once and tears ran down her eyes. The bad breathe didn't matter any more. It finally dawned on her she hasn't kissed her husband in weeks! What if they never get to be intimate again because of this? Damn you Benefit!

"Hey, don't cry" He said wiping her tears, "As long as God is in heaven, he'll definitely fight for us. When you said someone pushed you off that day, I thought you were imagining things. This just confirms it, it's not normal right?"

They are not allowed to take food, money, or a bag to carry either according to Mark 6:8. But these days we see people go to Mission field with provisions, money, enough to last them another mission trip" he asked and everyone laughed including Blessing.

A lady pushed her head into the class, "Mrs Nwachukwu, the principal is calling you" "Oh. I'll see her after this session" "She said now" "What? I'm in the middle of a class" "She was not smiling when she said it oh. She just drove in"

"Okay." She replied looking at the students, "I'll give the explanation later guys, that's if my period don't elapse before I come back. Write an assessment on what my husband's name sake just said and have it submitted to me let me get your opinion on the matter. If i come in time before the end of my period, I'll explain It better okay?"

"Yes Ma!"

"Thank you" She replied leaving the classroom. She walked down the hall into the proprietress' office. The woman wasn't even smiling which made her wonder what must have happened.

"Good morning Ma"

"Please save the greeting for yourself Blessing" "Okay.... Ma, is everything?" "Yes, on my side but definitely not on yours cause I seriously don't understand why you have to miss school every now and then"

"Ma... I called yesterday"

"At what time? Wasn't It about past 10 or so?"

Bamidele stood directly opposite the club he used to patronize. He had tracts in his hands, he exhaled and walked in. He surveyed the whole room, it was damn scanty but there were still familiar faces there.

"Bamidele Baddest!!!!" A guy hailed and everyone suddenly noticed him. He smiled nervously, "Omo Baba Olowo!"

"No one? Okay.... I hope the Holy spirit brood over this word in your heart. May the Devil not steal this word in Jesus name. Amen" He concluded dropping about twenty tracts on the bar counter before leaving.

A young lady followed him out, she was about 20. "Hey!" She called out and he turned towards her, "Hey, too afternoon" "Yeah. My name is Estelle, I'm a bar tender here. I'm new so I never knew the old you" "Oh" " That thing you said about that person.... Were you serious?

Bamidele nodded. "I met a guy three weeks ago, I had plans on losing my virginity tonight" "Oh. Months ago I would have probably thrown a condom and a bottle of wine as a gift but now...... Bamidele smiled, "Can I invite you to church? It's Hosannah Faith Ministry" "Okay. I'll like to get your number" she requested and they both exchanged numbers then she went back in. Another lady walked up to him, "Bamidele Jones" she called and he turned staring at her strangely.

He perceived a strange aura from her.

"Are you here to give your life also?" "You'll like that right?" "God will" "I didn't come for that. I came with a warning- Stay away from Amazing, disengage from whatever plans you're making. If you try getting married to her, we'll make you two pay with blood"

Bamidele laughed throwing his head backwards. "Wow... This is interesting." "Back away Bamidele, you are not the enemy, no guy has to get hurt" "You don't mean it" "Yes. Just stay away from this matter. You're causing problems"

"We might not be able to touch you physically but what about your parents huh? What about your sister and your little nephew. Think of what will happen to them if you don't stay away, it's going to rain blood"

"We'll see!" She snapped walking away when Bamidele turned his head to have a final look at her, only to realize she had already vanished.

He instantly made his way into his car dialing Amazing's number. "Hey Babe, you won't believe what happened. Let's see"

Somto's mother pulled him away from the family gathered. She was was feeling hot from all the bad news spilling from the doctor's lips; the insensitive man didn't even try to polish the situation. A lot ran through her mind on seeing Nene in that State. The first on the list was how she was going to be a grandmother with Nene paralysed.

"All these things the doctor is saying, are you not scared?"

"I am but I believe God has a reason for everything"

He snapped walking away then he turned back at his mother feeling guilty about the way he spoke so he walked back to her.

"It's okay" She nodded then she scoffed, "No doubt that I feel disrespected but you're not at all wrong. I'm just scared"

"I'm scared too Mom" He replied busting into tears but we just need to be strong and hopeful for her" he replied and his mother embraced him, tears pouring down her eyes.

Amazing and Bamidele met at one of Lagos eatery, "Have you called your family?" "No" "Why? What if....." "Nothing will happen" He assured extending his hands to the end of the table and Amazing held his hands.

"Things are going to get weird from now on"

"Why?"

"I found out something...." She paused leaning against the chair then she sighed biting her teeth. "What?"

"Wisdom is asking me to keep quiet about it, I can't say it now but I promise to get back to you when the coast is clear. I'm just confused and angry at the same time"

"Angry at who?"

"Most of all at myself. For being blind to a lot of things when God was trying to open my eyes but I kept on pushing him away, I kept resisting him. Yemisi has cancer, she's devastated and now the culprit is smiling and pretending"

Bamidele instantly arced his brow in deep thoughts. Wait.... Does this mean she already knows...... "Amazing.... Do"

A waitress walked up to them smiling, "What's your order?" Benefit walked all around the class explaining Citizenship to students in class. "Every true Citizen possesses patriotic traits, you're a shame to a country if you cannot boldly represent your citizenship, your national flag, pledge and anthem"

"Miss Oloche, are you an half caste? My mom says you are, you and you twin look like one?" One of the student asked and Benefit frowned, "Bad habit, I told you to always raise your hands when you want to speak"

Anya raised her hands from begin, she was seated on one of the empty seat and Benefit folded her handed wondering why she was there. Everyone freezed.

"What are you doing? You're interrupting my class"

"I just wanted to be dramatic, how was it?"

"You probably didn't interupt my class to brag about being a movie director Ochanya. What do you have in mind?" "I came advise you as a mother that I am to all of you"

Benefit feigned being unaware about the previous night, "What happened last night?" "You almost went mad... again, does that ring a bell?" "That was nothing"

Two of Nene's colleague at work trooped in to visit her. She was excited so she watched the door to see top officials coming in. After three minutes no on came in and her heart broke in pieces. She scoffed, she couldn't believe her eyes.

The only person the sent was the receptionist, Nessa and Somto Isreal, her husband's namesake, the idiot she match make with Amazing.

When her boss came that morning, he said a few worker were going to be permitted to leave work in order to see her later in the day.

"Mrs Nene" The Nessa called out after greeting Somto and Nene's Mom. "How is she Sir?" "She's better, I mean it could have been worst. We thank God"

"So the firm could only send two people"

"The didn't want to come" Mr Isreal answered, "Mr Isreal!" "There was a meeting, no one agreed to go Nene has never been on good terms with workers coupled with her competitive nature and bad mouth. They didn't see any reason to come except Nessa, she had to exchange shift"

Wow, Nene muttered within she knew her colleagues were mostly hypocrites, she never knew they were vipers too! She wasn't even close to the receptionist, she has never spoken to the girl or even given her attention! She didn't even know her name was Nessa. Tears trickled down the side of her face.

"Mr Isreal! Let's not be insensitive"

"What? It's the truth I'm saying. We don't know what will happen tomorrow. It's good we live a good life"

"We get your point" Somto lifted his hands now turning towards his wife who was in tears. "You don't understand. Nene tramples on men anyhow, people live in fear of her" "My wife Is in a critical condition right now, the only reason I'm respecting you is the fact we have the same first name. You don't stand here and judge people when you're also as guilty as her. You think I don't you're her gist and gossip partner at work? If you're that good, why are you still unable to get a future partner for yourself?"

Nene laughed within watching Somto keep quiet. "Yes, i'm her biggest gist partner. My wife tells me everything, just that sometimes I don't listen." "I was just..." "We get your point, she's not the most quiet or friendly personality. Just don't try rubbing it on her face at this time, I won't take it"

Awwwn, she remarked crying even more. It was like she was falling in love with him all over again!

Amazing went back to being moody after Bamidele left the eatery, it was as though he shouldn't leave. Thoughts ran through her mind, could Benefit be really mad at them because of the rape? Or can it be something more than that? Even if she wanted to be mad, couldn't she exempt her own twin? They grew up in the same womb for crying out loud! What kind of wickedness or hatred can make a person destroy her sister's life.

It finally made sense why Benefit was always fighting with her! But what about them? She was always friendly, not once has she had any reason to suspect her! She was was tempted to know how it all started and what could have prompt the hatred.

June

Kunle closed his lips laughing in a party organized by his company and Tayo his best friend walked up to him, "Are you sure you're okay, this one that you're standing alone and laughing all by yourself"

"Sorry..." He laughed again, "I was just remembering. I was just remembering something Ema did" "And it's making you laugh like this?" "Yes"

"Instead of enjoying life before you, there are girls around. Why don't you find someone to just be with"

Kunle scoffed, "I cant do that, I love Ema to cheat on her" "You and this your Ema, everything I ever seem to hear Is Ema, Ema, Ema. I don't understand" "I love her Tayo, guess what?" "What?" "I have plans to propose to her soon, I'm looking at her being my wife within two months time"

Tayo scoffed, "Are you sure" "I have never been more sure of anything in my entire life. I'll be taking her to Ogbomoso to see my parents on Sunday" "You can't be serious" "I'm damn serious, do you think I'm not old enough to get married and have children?"

"Yes. Everyone will be shocked, from her twin sister to Amazing and the gang. Who would have thought about it, Ema being first to get married?"

Benefit waved her hands at a mirror laughing maniacally then she picked a turtle from a cage, "Wow Ema, he wants you to get married before everyone, awwwwn that's so sweet. Too bad that can't happen, we can't allow that, over my dead body any of you gets married. Let's all be single and miserable"

Evening

About 9pm, Ema leaned against Kunle's chest ranting about being fired from work. "Sorry" he apologized and she punched him on the arm, "Don't fucking apologize, or I'll cry and I don't want to cry" "Ouch! Dey punch person small small now"

"I'm just angry, you know that"

"Shebi I already told you now, I'm you venting Machine, feel free to vent on me, use me as your punching bag. Abuse and assault me all you want, i promise not to sue" he answered and she laughed. "I don't know how my life would have been like if I didn't meet you? I would have been fucked up! How many guys can actually love and endure my excesses?"

Kunle laughed, "You do have excesses but I'm sure if I'm not in the picture, someone else will fill the space, someone better" He answered and she climbed on him raising her brow in hurt, "Ouch? Are you trying to pass an information to me? Like, are you trying to tell me you don't want to end up with me?" She strangled him and h laughed and choke at the same time.

"I'm not!" He replied then she released her hands, "Explain yourself" "God where I see this person from?" He asked and she folded her hands waiting for an explanation. "I'm just saying, anything can happen, what if I wasn't destined to be with you? Will I fight God and destiny? If we're not meant to be, I'm sure God has a special person there for you. That person that will endure all your excesses"

Ema fought back her tears, "Fuck you!" "Em" "Don't fucking say that." "Babe it's true" "No! There's no other person I want to fucking punch except you" she punched him and he tumbled over her, finally getting on the top and pinning her down, "I know small kungfu" he winked and she laughed.

"I love you he confessed kissing her neck and she moaned. "Show me you love me"

12:00 am

Kunle tapped her up, "It's too early and I'm wasted before of you" she complained and she raised her up forcefully, "Get the hell up!" He screamed and her eyes opened in bewilderment. "What the fuck? What has gotten over you?"

"Get the hell out of my house"

"Get the fuck out of my house"

"You don't just wake up and make that kind of decision" she snapped checking the time on her phone, it was 12:04 am! "Did I do something wrong? Babe talk to me!" She moved close to him and he tightened his fist, "Leave before I get mad"

Ema scoffed, "Was that why you said all those all things you said last night?" "Get your fucking self out of my fucking house you whore!" He screamed grabbing her in her lingerie then he threw her out. This was followed by her luggage and her clothes on the floor outside his house.

"Fuck you Kunle, Fuck you!"

5:20 am

Benefit watched a turtle walk slowly around her shrine, "Ema what do you think I should do next huh?" She asked when she heard a knock on the door. She slowly made way out then walked to the door opening the door and Ema dashed in pushing her luggage in.

Shit! She said within shutting her eyes, she didn't think Ema would come to her house seeking for refuge. She can't invite her in, she has never invited anyone to spend the night. She didn't want to open herself to suspicion.

"What are you doing here?"

"I need a place to stay"

"What happened to Kunle's house"

Ema sobbed, "You won't believe what happened. Kunle sent me out of the house" "What did you do?" Benefit asked, "I didn't do anything" "You must have done something, someone cannot just wake up and just send you out of the house, just like that! Kunle is way way way too nice to do that. You must have pissed him off, I know you Ema, you're always causing trouble"

"We made sweet love last night and he told me he loved me. You know as my twin sometimes I expect you to give me a benefit of the doubt at least but as usual, I'm always the bad one, the one at fault. You know what bitch, you can keep your damn house to yourself, shove it into your fucking ass cause I'd rather be with where I'm wanted that in this shit hole you call a home. At least with Amazing I get to feel like I have a sister"

Benefit shut her eyes, "Ema" "Fuck off!" She snapped leaving the house and she shut the door laughing. "Ouch Bitch!"

Now

Amazing sat in her car sending a text across to her friends for an impromptu meeting in the evening, except Nene and Uche. Benefit who assumed it will be a prayer meeting instantly sent a text back to her.

I will be busy with Adetutu, I'm sorry, I wont have the chance but I sure will be praying with you

Amazing quickly called her, "Hey Bee" "Hey dear." "How are you?" "I'm fine, I'm getting ready to close for the day and you?" "I'm just praying for God to perform a miracle and expose the person responsible for this evil"

"Amen to that. Trust me, we all need that miracle now"

"Yes.. I can't come"

"We're not praying, it's just an hour meeting on what to do, things are getting out of hand and we need all kinds of suggestion. Any idea" She lied praying deep within that Benefit doesn't find her out. "We need to look up to God" Benefit suggested and she rolled her eyes.

What a hypocrite! No wonder she was able to deceive the whole world!

"No doubt Benefit. I'm not saying we shouldn't, trust me, we should trust God. But Benefit between the two of us, it's slow. It doesn't have to be a herbalist, maybe a stronger Pastor o prophet, I just want to hear our suggestion, I'm losing faith Benefit" She cried connecting her tears to ho hurt she felt knowing she has been responsible for their troubles in life.

"Amazing calm down, it's gonna be fine. I'll be there, don't worry"

"Thank you." She replied ending the call then she leaned against the table sobbing even more.

Benefit arced her brow in uncertainty then she smirked, can this be real? Is Amazing really searching for other alternative? She smirked as she began to craft out plans in her head. She quickly dialed Amazing's number then she waited for her to pick up.

"Hey Bee"

"Hey dearie" She greeted rolling her eyes, "Sorry I had to call back, I don't know how to say this.... It sounds somehow but I met someone today, she's a colleague, she's new and she sort of noticed my countenance. She said if we're interested, we can see her"

"I hope it's not juju"

"I don't think so but I might be bringing her as a plus. I know it's suppose to be private and all, it'll be fine if you don't want it. I'll wave the idea off"

Amazing exhaled, "As long as she's not coming to give any diabolic ideas, you can bring her along"

Benefit sat in the living room making notes when Anya appeared on the couch just close to her and she smiled looking up at her, "Welcome to the party" "You summoned me" "Yes I did. Blessing is getting married, Jeremy proposed. I saw Kunle's own, why didn't I see his own"

"It happens that way for the strong ones"

While Benefit continue making lesson notes, she heard footsteps approach when she raised her head she found a head above her trying to look at what she was doing.

"Jeez!" She gasped in fear on realizing it was Uche. She began to wonder how long she has been around. Did she notice Anya?

Uche laughed.

"You know what I mean. I'm just saying, we also deserve to be loved to. Look at Nene, she's dating a rich guy, Amazing has this perfect life that if I had one, I won't even be worried about getting married, except the heavy period, Yemisi acts like everything is perfect when they are not, Fisayo is the worst! Always bragging about everything and it's annoying like that her stupid 500 dollar gown."

"And me?"

"You're happy with your job"

"Some of these students give you joy, its always my happiness to educate them, teach them new things"

Benefit shook her head in disagreement, "Uche you're an amazing cook. At this rate, you'll become envious, envy brings out the worst in every man. You don't need it, you see this happiness ehn, very soon we'll all get it and we'll all be here to share in it. It's Blessing's turn, tomorrow might be yours, keep your fingers crossed Uche, all hope is not lost" she advised hugging her and she sobbed.
